Pure Quill Superette might look like a corner grocery with a side of nostalgia, but it's also a legit breakfast and lunch stop that takes its food seriously. You walk in and immediately see local produce lined up like a farmers market fridge section, with bright peppers, greens, and a single butternut squash standing proud like the store mascot. The walls are covered with old-school cigarette ads and retro posters, and a chandelier casually hangs from the ceiling like it knows it doesn't belong here but refuses to leave. The steak and eggs were a solid 4/5. The steak had flavor and a nice sear, though at $21 it should've maybe come with a motivational quote too. The fries were the real MVP. I don't know what kind of oil or seasoning they use, but those fries deserve their own menu slot and maybe a fan club. The fried chicken looked like a single, glorious thigh that jumped straight out of a cast-iron skillet and into my container. The crust was beautifully crisp with real crunch, though it was greasy enough to leave a print on the lid. Worth every calorie. Also a 4/5 because sometimes perfection comes with a little shine. There's seating inside on the opposite side of the store and outside seating for a more laid-back vibe. You get fresh air, your food in a compostable box, and probably overhear someone talking about sourcing local greens. The "Snail of Approval" award hanging up front seals it. These folks care about food the right way. If you like places that feel like a blend of diner, grocery, and small-town charm, this spot hits the mark. Grab the steak and eggs, add the chicken if you're hungry, and thank me later for the fry recommendation.

Great service and incredible food. I recently had the Cod Royale and it was amazing. I' will definitely come by more often. I came after the lunch rush so there were just a few other patrons there. Place your order at the counter and within minutes it's brought out to you. It's definitely quality food served in a casual atmosphere.

What a cute place! You order at the counter. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Fresh meat and produce from local farmers are available to purchase as well. I got the breakfast hash which was amazing. Egg tomato and sausage on a bed of hash browns. The Della Rella sandwich with meat, mozzarella cheese and pesto on fresh ciabatta bread. I will definitely be back. The place is super clean and employees friendly family owned and run.

Super fun, ultra old school restaurant reminiscent of a 50's Woolworth Diner. Sandwiches to choose include hot ham and cheese, egg salad, and an amazing fish sandwich. Portions are huge so come hungry. Authentic down to the plates and serving dishes. Some of the best collards we've ever had and the potato salad was good as well. Giant fried pickle spears are so tasty and plenty to share. You order when you walk in and it's best if you do so efficiently, as the line is dependent on folks moving on through. Service is table side and fairly quick. There are tables inside but we enjoyed the patio, complete with some cute pooches. Such a fun vibe in East Atlanta. Highly recommend the fish Sammie!

Sausage egg and cheese sandwich and collard egg and cheese hoe cake

This place is so fun! We loved the hoe cake but thought the breakfast sandwich was just okay. Also appreciate that they serve brunch until 3 pm on weekends. Service was friendly and very quick. We also liked the patio area. Only about 10 parking spots in their lot but there's probably street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Comforting, homey atmosphere inside but still feels hip. I'd return!

Cup of coffee

I just got the dumbest cup of coffee at this place. I asked for a large café au lai -- just coffee and milk. "We only have one size," she says. Fine--thinking it's going to be twelve ounces or whatever. I tap, pay $5, tip, wait...and then I get this tiny shot of coffee. There is literally a kid on the cup. For comparison, the tall cup is a large from Revolution that cost the same. I'm sorry Superette--you're not in Italy. You're on Memorial Drive. Give me a break and a decent cup of coffee...or sell your special sips of coffee for a dollar.

Brisket breakfast sandwich & tostada

It's officially fall and the sweat that would regulate my body temperature and keep me cool in the summer after a Saturday morning long run has taken on a new role. It's cold and uncomfortable to sit with like the lover who is now a stranger to you. Naturally, I yearn for warmth at a time like this or anything good. My routine is coffee, but today I pivoted. My desire for something hearty navigated me to the steps of Pure Quill. I'm from Texas so when I see brisket on any menu, it knows my name - calls it out like a distant cousin at your family reunion. "It's good to see you again." We sit and indulge one another. A mutual exchange, of nourishment, nostalgia and pleasure. The breakfast brisket sandwich was a 10 out of 10. Tender, flavorful, messy even and perfectly imperfect.

Pretty cool place with good food, local produce, unique provisions. Sometimes they have interesting events at their patio. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious. The hot dog was ok, it was hard to bite through it.

Sausage egg and cheese on a bun

Cute neighborhood spot! Came in for breakfast this morning. We got espresso + milk as well as sausage egg and cheese on a bun. The sandwich was so big! Almost like a burger honestly. Super tasty. Love that this spot is open in the area! Will need to go back to try the squash pancakes soon!

"chili cheese" fries

I've had luck ordering sandwiches but this place has its quirks. Just know currently by 3p half their menu will be unavailable. They messed up my girlfriend's order both times. This time what they call chili cheese fries are an embarrassment. It's ground beef, shreds of white cheese and the fries are stale although I waited 10-15 mins. See pic. The salad was dry and was supposed to have some type of vinaigrette. So 0/2 for my girlfriend's order we won't be back. The staff is nice and some food is good but I'd check your order before you leave.

Chicken sandwich

The atmosphere is super cool but the chicken sandwich is a little over priced for $15 definitely better options in the city.

I loved this place so much! I'm always a huge fan of cute neighborhood cafe/markets in old buildings. My husband and I split the steak and eggs - very generous size! The vibes and service were immaculate - would love to come back for lunch.

They have a roaster in the back of their building so lots of in house coffee beans to buy. They also have a merch shop in the sitting area baked goods available as well. I got a dirty chai with their vanilla bourbon syrup iced it was pretty good. If I'm in the area walking again, I probably will stop by. There's a record player, and one shelf of coffee beans that the cafe is selling. It's hard to know what the vibe is because the space is just so sparse, with even the "chrome yellow" shade in the name of the cafe nowhere to be seen. There are plenty of folks who come here to work, but I wouldn't recommend working here because the wifi is given out via temporary codes with a 2hr time limit (photo attached) and the tables are on the small side. Reviews tend to mention the quality of the drinks, and the drinks are good... but not my preference. The matcha leans on the sweet side, and the coffee tends to taste like a very dark roast. In terms of food, the only food is overnight oats with dried berries that comes out to almost $10. Overall, would not recommend unless you're a coffee connoisseur looking to try different roasts around the city.

Traffic was pretty heavy that morning, and when I finally pulled up, I didn't see an open space right away. For a second, I thought about leaving, but I'm glad I didn't. Parking is actually pretty easy once you know the options--there's a garage nearby and street parking too. As soon as I walked in, I knew this was the kind of place I'd be excited to work from. I ordered a matcha latte and spotted the perfect seat by the window--it felt like it was waiting for me. The vibe was calm and creative, with just the right energy for working or people-watching along the BeltLine. The music was on point too, though it really depends on who's working--some days the playlist is an A+. My only real issue? The outlets. They were there, but during my first few visits, the ones at the booths didn't work. Maybe that's been fixed by now, but at the time it was the only thing that missed the mark. Still, this spot easily makes my list of favorite places to post up for a few hours. Between the matcha, the ambiance, and the overall vibe--it's an easy yes for me.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more This establishment does not reflect the values of a community as vibrant and supportive as Grant Park. While it may appear welcoming and well-run on the surface, that image quickly falls apart when you look at how things operate behind the scenes. I have personally witnessed how the owner, Rahel, treats employees, and it is deeply concerning. As many other reviews have noted, there is a consistent pattern of unprofessionalism, poor communication, and a dismissive, often hostile attitude toward staff. What's most troubling is the disconnect between the public-facing atmosphere and the internal reality. Customers may see a polished environment, but behind that façade are employees who feel uncomfortable being themselves, who are reprimanded unfairly, and who are neither properly valued nor treated with respect and dignity. A business is only as strong as the way it treats its people, and unfortunately, this establishment falls short in that regard. I would STRONGLY encourage others to take this into consideration before choosing to support it.
