Both were DELICIOUS AND AMAZING. My banana püd was perfectly iced but not watery from melting . It had a strong coffee flavor and had a phenomenal milk to coffee ratio. It was sweet but not overpowering. It was a dream to drink. The Sam I am had a soft and yummy bun. If you're looking to eat something for breakfast that's satisfying without feeling full/stuffed, then this is for you. I'd been wanting to try the caesar sandwich at Sammy's for a while, so that was finally our excuse to check it out a couple weeks ago. Of course it sold out about 5 minutes before we got there, so we ended up with the pimento and turkey sandwiches instead and honestly they were still really good. I recently stopped by Sammy's for lunch and had a great experience. I ordered the Samborghini, and it was absolutely delicious--the lunch meats were fresh and full of flavor. Quality coffee shop in SWATS, nice to come here for your caffeine fix and a quick bite, as well as to sit and get some work done while you enjoy your meal and drink. The coffee here is 3 out of 5. Stumbled upon this place when looking for another coffee shop and so glad that I ended up here! Everything about my visit here was perfect. The customer service was superb, they actually bring your drinks to you at the table as opposed to just yelling your name out for multiple to breathe over your drink like most other coffee shops do these days. Came here on a whim the first time and fell in love with sammier! The grilled cheese with a flavor profile I would've never through to combine. I try to find ways to include vegetables in my meals without having to force it. This is something I'm going to incorporate and try to re-make it home. The first time I went, it was so good. I've never had onions seasoned on a sandwich before and it just added to it. The second time I had it was not as great as a first time, but still something tasty. The drinks are OK. I wish they could be more customized. I probably just have to request better but they're decent. Definitely ask for light ice or get it there. It seems like they put less ice if you get your item in a regular cup instead of a cup. They have plenty of seating. It seems like they're pretty busy. I've only went on Thursday and a Friday so that could affect it as well, but there was always seating whenever I went. read more

This is a local spot near my neighborhood that opened in the last year or so. I like coming here because of the proximity to home but also that they're dog friendly. Their sandwiches are pretty good. I've tried the Miami Cuban, Sam I am, Samuel. I would say my favorite is the Miami Cuban which is probably one of the popular items on the menu. I'm not a fan of mustard but I actually liked it in this sandwich. I will say I was underwhelmed by their drinks. I ordered an iced matcha and there was very little "drink" in it, mostly ice. You can see that after finishing my drink, my cup still had almost a full cup of ice. (And this is after some melted!) Not worth the price point imo. Go for the sandwiches. read more

Just a hop, skip, and a jump from my hood (Castleberry) and my office (Trees Atlanta) this is a chef inspired/owned great addition to the Westside. Had the green eggs and ham (sub house smoked pastrami) that was off the charts. A little pricey but worth it. Had the Miami Sami and beat anything I've gotten in Miami or Havana. Once again, house smoked meat ups their game. Trees Atlanta employees really dig this place, hopefully we can plant some shade trees in their vast patio area in the near future. Honestly, the hype is deserved for this new sandwich spot. I got takeout for a quick weekday lunch, and I was super impressed. I got the Uncle Sam, which is a pulled pork sandwich, and it was so good. It was nice and smoky, and the BBQ sauce was so good! I love that they smoke it on-site. It also traveled really well, and it was the perfect size for lunch. I also got a cookie, which was a yummy treat, although a little oily, but that might be from the heat. They also have a ton of drink options, and it is not just about the sandwiches here. The habanero watermelon agua fresca I had was good, although I wish it had a bit stronger watermelon flavor, but you could definitely tell it was fresh watermelon, not artificial. Always love a new place In this area. Walked in, totally my style, bright, clean with chill music. We were a bit early for lunch, I got a breakfast sandwich while it was smaller than I was expecting for the price it was very good and ended up being the perfect size. Also don't let the SAMMYS part fool you. They make Delicious coffee. The staff were so incredibly friendly. I'm hoping the neighborhood will come out and support them. I am a creature of habit. Once I like something, that's what I will order over and over again, because it's delicious. I always have the Reuben's, I know that's not what they call it but that's what it is more or less, and now I order it with double meat. I noticed the other day that the coleslaw had little slices of scallions in it, which makes it even more delicious. At my age, my taste buds don't work as well as they used to so a lot of the pleasure that I get is from texture, with a tad of taste. The bread in the sandwich is a delight to my mouth. It has this amazing crunch, a buttery crunch, kind of like a grilled cheese sandwich made with butter. I don't actually know how they make it but it's very yummy. Sammy's smokes their own meat and it's sliced so beautifully thinly. It's just wonderful and the feel of the coleslaw with the meat and the crunchiness of the bread. Everything comes together and there's a party going on in my mouth. We've been having some delightful spring days and Sammy has opened up the former garage doors, I suspect that's what they used to be, and there's this wonderful breeze coming through and it's kind of like a party atmosphere. Actually to tell you the truth it's often very much like a party atmosphere in there because everybody's smiling and happy because what they're eating is so yummy yummy yummy. So if your tummy needs some yummy get over to Sammy's. Oh and the drinks... I forgot to mention the drinks. I had an iced chai the other day and it was quite delicious. They make their own chai, which I think is a rarity in this country, they usually use some kind of powered gunk. I've been to India three times and I like my chai to be chai. Another wonderful drink, especially for this time of year is Sammy's lime aid. If you purchase it without any flavorings, pucker up, I hope you like sour, because there's no sugar added, without the flavorings, which are very delicious. The service is perfect, everyone is so helpful and kind and they always make me feel good. Sammy's is that kind of joint. They're always adding different variations to their drinks while still doing the basics great. Their syrups are done in house so the flavored latte's and matcha's are always great. The Friday night burgers, wings and bar is always fun with the best drink prices in town with $2.50 highlife's and $9 cocktails. So I devoured my sandwich before I even thought to snap a picture. I had the Sam I Am with turkey instead of Bacon and it was 10/10. I do wish the sandwich itself was a little bit bigger for the price point but the flavor was 10/10. It was about the size of a slider so I am definitely still hungry but a good small bite. Additionally, the customer service is exceptional. Everyone was very vibrant and answered all 1,000 of my questions. I didn't initially like my drink recommendation and they continued to adjust it until it was just right. Overall I wasn't obsessed with the matcha, but I appreciate their dedication to customer satisfaction. The actual shop would serve as a great wfh space. Free parking, plenty of seating and outlets, and a lot of natural light. I didn't see any signage for free wifi but I may have missed it at the register. Went here on one of the opening days and the vibe is pretty nice here. The sandwiches were good but a little pricey in my opinion especially for them to not come with any sides. I had the Samigo which had a creamy avocado sauce and turkey with delicious pickled jalapeños that I really enjoyed, but the sandwich plus the strawberry limeade was ~$18 which seemed like a lot to me. They also don't have any vegan or gluten free options :( They make all their syrups in house and every drink that I've tried here was pretty good(highly recommend that strawberry limeade) Overall the staff was really attentive and willing to answer any questions that we had, the food was good(but pricey), and the space was really cute.
