Babs's is exactly the kind of neighborhood brunch spot you wish you had on your corner. It's got that cozy, slightly eclectic charm where you instantly feel like a regular, even on your first visit. I was looking for a brunch spot after yoga and someone recommended me to check out this place. The brunch menu is creative without trying too hard, and everything tastes fresh and homemade. Menu changes weekly and I got the Butter Cauliflower & Chickpeas with an egg that was delicious! The vibe is relaxed, perfect for catching up with friends or lingering over a second cup of coffee. One aspect to note is that the owner doesn't modify dishes so if there's something that you don't like or are allergic to, make sure to read over the ingredients but staff also prefaced that information when we entered

It's homestyle b&b vibe in here. Just do not expect anything and go with the flow to enjoy this experience. Parking is not free, try to find street parking if you can. The host takes your orders and you pay for it before you are seated. It really is an experience asking him to suggest and letting him customize your drink based on your preference of sweet or savory. I had the shakshuka and it was delicious and different. The gravy had tiny shrimp and the egg was cooked to perfection. Loved the pita that came with it as well. Very unique take on Mediterranean cuisine. Food arrived quickly and the servers are friendly, checking up on you often. Perfect hole in the wall style brunch spot. I am ready to revisit for sure.

Came in for breakfast on Sunday morning right around when they opened. It's a small space, but it wasn't too crowded when we got there. The staff was very nice and attentive. You order at the counter and then sit down. They set our table for us and came over to refill our coffee frequently. The menu changes often, so check out their Facebook page for the most recent menu. We all got something different and it was all tasty! I got the blueberry French toast casserole plate. It was a lot of food! A super cozy spot in midtown! Worth the visit!

Babs is a midtown institution!! Don't listen to all these sensitive people. The owner is incredible and only mean if you deserve it. Their brunch is honestly breathtaking. Very creative food. Quality drinks. Amazing service. Reasonable prices. There's no reason not to go - unless you can't take the heat. And if you can't take it, it's a reflection of your own shortcomings.

Their food was pretty good, about a 4 star rating. The owner was fairly rude and kept hurrying us along. It was our first time at the restaurant, so if we wanted to take a few minutes to figure out what we wanted, I don't see anything wrong with it. The process is that you order at the counter inside and then they seat you. We got there around 9 am on a Sat morning and it wasn't too busy. We ordered two shakshukas, a Moroccon stew and a twist on an American breakfast that I can't remember. The food was pretty good. It was a little bit on the salty side for my taste but overall, we liked it. The portions were decent so I took half of mine home. My hot chocolate was ok. I really wish the service had been nicer so that we could've had a more pleasant experience. Parking is up front and it is paid.

Lemon ricotta pancakes with bacon, potatoes, & eggs

Great food, love the decorations inside the place. Huge mimosas and cappuccinos (in my opinion). You'll hear the words savory, sweet, or spicy and any of the choices you make will end up being fantastic. Don't forget about the dessert: the banana pudding is 10/10.

When I walked in I didn't know what I needed but I left feeling like I had been home. Randy greeted me like an old friend and made the best recommendation to me, the jambalaya. In this quaint little bistro, I was surrounded by nostalgic pictures and snow globes that reminded me of a simpler time while the mimosa and jambalaya filled my belly with love. As Randy and I chatted he asked if I wanted a real treat, the lemon curd. When I tell you I was instantly transported to symphony of richness and tasty delight. I was in heaven. If you're looking for good food and a place that feels like home this is it. I left feeling refreshed and full knowing my morning had been made whole. Thank you Randy and thank you Babs. You're truly an Atlanta gem!

A true hidden treasure in the heart of midtown!!! My friends and I have hit all usual brunch spots so when we heard about Bab's just a couple blocks from our apartment we had to strike! We were able to walk which was great but they do have a great parking lot out front if you need to drive! We came on a Saturday around 12 and you order at a counter and they bring the food to your table. The man at the register gave us a great over view of the menu. The vibes are adorable and as we sat waiting the staff did a great job keeping our coffee cups full and checking on us! Once the food came, wow!! Delicious food hit the spot. I got the crunch omelette and most tater tots are mid for me but these were delicious and the omelette was to die for!! Could not have asked for better food and service for brunch in Atlanta.

To anyone visiting for the first time: Be kind. Be patience. Be open. Let Randy choose your meal - you won't regret it. Don't complain about having to pay for parking. Have a memosa!

Very rude man at the counter taking orders. We left once our order was critiqued for being too boring. Dirty and empty restaurant too.

There is a paid parking lot adjacent to the restaraunt.

Do they take reservations. I can't find on open table?

They're very small so it's probably a good idea to make a reservation

Is it going to be hard for a group of 4 to get a table outside on Saturdays?

Depending on the time and weather... call ahead and we'll let you know....

Are your mimosas also available on Friday? Thank you! I love this place

Title: Flavor Explosion, Soulful Hospitality & a Last-Minute Meal That Turned Magical…read more Let me just say this: what started as a "quick bite before closing" turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We arrived at The Poach Social about 20 minutes before closing, unsure if we'd be rushed--but instead, we were welcomed with warmth and ease. Lived the ambiance. Hunter, our server, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel taken care of from the very start. Then came Victor, the owner and chef--and this is where things shifted from good to special. Without us even asking, he recommended a mocktail that felt like it was made just for me: a sorrel-based drink layered with ginger, spice, herbs, and fresh fruit. It was refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've had. We started with the jerk egg rolls... and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were clapping after the first bite. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, with a sweet-spicy sauce that just worked. We immediately knew we'd be taking more to go. For the main course, we ordered the Poach Social breakfast plate and the blackened salmon with polenta. The breakfast plate was comforting and well-executed, but the salmon dish? Absolutely unforgettable. Perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with creamy polenta and a rich sauce that brought everything together. It was a full-on flavor experience. The timing of everything--from drinks to apps to entrées--was seamless. Hunter checked in at the perfect moments, never too much, never too little. We ended up in a lovely conversation with Victor, who is not only talented but genuinely kind and passionate. He brought us complimentary slices of carrot cake, and even though we were already full... we ate every bite. No regrets. It was phenomenal. What I loved most is that this place doesn't just serve food--it creates an experience. There's intention, care, and heart behind everything. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves to thrive. We will absolutely be back.

The food was very good, but it did take a little time. I believe because it's a scratch kitchen. It was worth the wait. Our servers name was Langston and he took really good care of us. He made sure to check on us and explain the menu as well. Our drinks did take a lot more time to get to the table. It's a cute and trendy place, but the only thing I would change was the placing of tables because when people are passing by, it was very difficult. If someone was in a wheelchair, it could be a problem getting into the tight spaces. The last thing would also be drink order is coming out in a timely manner. Overall, service was great and food was very good.

The owner Josh was extremely accommodating! He gave us some tastings of coffee, tea and the French toast. 10/10! I personally ordered the Blueberry Matcha and a Bowl (done keto). Everyone's meal looked amazing and not a crumb was left. We left with some of the canned whiskey drinks - Strawberry Whiskey Sour and Kentucky Mule made with bourbon. Josh said best enjoyed mixed together! The photo opps, food, drinks and aesthetics are so good here. Only comment is that the tables are pub or cafe style and best for small groups or just takeover a section like we did. Enjoy!

That said, the aesthetic feels less Buckingham Palace and more whimsical London antique shop -- charming & eclectic. I ordered the blueberry lavender matcha and a breakfast plate. The menu names were definitely on brand, but not quite catchy enough for me to remember them later. Both were solid, though, and hit the spot. Service was a highlight. The cashier really leaned into the accent and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, which made the whole experience feel more immersive and welcoming. Parking was easy on an early weekday afternoon -- always a win. The space works well for small parties, but be prepared: tables are small and seating is close together. One tip: avoid sitting upstairs in Eden. It's noticeably warmer than the rest of the restaurant, and you'll likely leave smelling like breakfast. Overall, a fun, themed spot with great service. But I don't think I'll be back.
