Think dark, sexy, lounge vibes with velvet couches and chandeliers--perfect for date night or catching up with friends. This is not a quick in-and-out spot. It's the kind of place you sit, sip, and enjoy the vibe. Perfect before dinner or to end the night on a high note. Definitely adding this to our go-to list

Stopped in for a drink or two, but stayed a little bit longer for the music and The vibes. I was there on a weekend night, and it was super chill and had a really good performance situation happening on stage. This one is a little bit weird because you have to do certain things to be able to get in. It's not like it's an escape room situation, but at the same time, it's a little active. Not overly active to where you would be taxed when you get there. But you have to go follow some instructions and once you get in it's all gravy! There's a lot of space for table so you can sit in front of the stage or you can sit in the back or the bar is which is also very pristinely kept. Or their ceas behind that. And there's even a bowl of alley somewhere in the cut. It is a really really good spot. The entertainment was on point. They were playing a lot of hits, lot of old school which I appreciate it. Loved it. The drinks were fired. The bartender had a lot of personality and it was super engaging. Just what you want from Superior customer service. I would 101% go back. It was a lot of fun and a really good vibe. We just happened to walk in off of humbug, but I actually might remember reservations next time. Actually sit in the crowd to enjoy the music. Loved it.

Upon arriving, we were asked if we knew the secret passcode. I didn't realize we needed to know a passcode, but the guy gave us some hints, and we eventually got it. We were instructed to go downstairs with a paper slip and "deposit" it into a deposit box downstairs. Upon doing this, we were granted access inside! It was pretty cool honestly! We sat at the bar upon arriving and ordered some drinks. They have a really nice drink menu with different cocktails and all the other liquors. They also have a full food menu too. Some people around us got food, and honestly, it looked really good! Our bartender Joey, was awesome! He was friendly and answered some of our questions about the drinks. He even made us espresso martini shots!! Hats off to Joey! The vibes inside are very prohibition-y. They had live music when we went, and I think they have live music most days during the week too. Roaring Social is located in downtown Decatur, so not too far of a walk from many other shops/bars/restaurants. We ubered, so I am not too familiar with parking, but I think there are parking garages nearby and street parking. I would definitely come back here in the future!

We snagged an early dinner reservation at 5:15 pm and surprisingly, people were already dining and they just got busier as time went on. We were greeted right away by our wonderful server (forgot her name though) and she asked if it was our first time there and if we were celebrating something. We answered yes to both and they actually brought us complimentary champagne, a sparkling non-alcoholic cider for me because I ordered a zero proof drink. Kimball House is known for their amazing bar program, so my husband ordered a Kimball House served with a side of olives and lemon twist on ice, like what?! I ordered a ginger & honey lime fizz to enjoy. For starters, we also enjoyed Hawaiian rolls, green salad and some oysters for my husband. The rolls and salad came out super fast, but there was quite a wait for our drinks and oysters that I didn't think they were going to come out. The rolls are a must-get here - they're huge and the strawberry preserve it was served with was delicious! The salad was actually split in half, which was a super nice touch and was plenty of serving between two people. We loved the dressing - it was nice and fresh. For our entree, I ordered a trout and my husband ordered the duck breast. I was a bit underwhelmed when I saw my plate because I was thinking it would be a plate full of grits, but what was served was the perfect amount because it was quite heavy. The trout by itself was too salty for my taste, but was best eaten with a bite of collards and grits. My husband enjoyed his meal, but wished the duck was cooked a bit more. For dessert, we both enjoyed a Paris Brest. Our server actually put it in twice so we each got one when she meant to only punch in one, but she ended up taking one off from our bill. I was quite shocked that our whole dinner was only around $190, not including tip, which I thought was quite reasonable. We definitely recommend this place for date night or simply for delicious food.

They have so many different tiki cocktails that you can choose from. They are mostly made of rum, but they have a few other ones that are made with different alcohols. Me and my wife both got our own drinks. Hers was a special Valentine's Day themed drink that was on the menu, and mine was one of the tequila/mezcal tiki drinks. Both tasted really good! The presentation was just as good too! You aren't limited to these though, it's a full bar, so you can get whatever you want. They also have a few food options, but very limited. Our bartender, Heather, was super nice as well. My wife had asked (when I went to the restroom) if they did anything for birthdays, since my birthday was a few days prior. She did this cool fire presentation and gave us two little slushie shots. Awesome bartender for sure! SOS is a great place to go for some really fun drinks. It's good for groups, but keep in mind that they do get quite busy on the weekends! I'll definitely be back.

We ended up paying extra for more sauces and some were a hit like the aoli and the sesame soy, but the hot sauce was just a normal Tabasco like sauce so I didn't think it was worth paying for. I had the crispy chicken confit for my dinner and it was amazing!! No notes!! The pork belly that my fiance got was also super tender and flavorful. Overall it's a nicer restaurant but I'd definitely be back!

The skin was crispy. It was a decent sized fillet and the sauce was a good pairing. Overall, lovely experience. Nowhere to wait except standing there like idiots until bartender says we can sit in a reserved section for a bit. Nasty waitress comes by soon after to usher us away, despite conflicting instructions from the bar. Anyway, insult to injury when it appears I've been charged a service charge and a gratuity charge and the dishes were small and mostly not great. We visited Voss Lounge on Wednesday, April 1, excited for happy hour after seeing their Instagram flyer advertising $5 drinks, small apps, and hookah. Well...that's not exactly what we got. Once we arrived, we were told those $5 specials were actually for Tuesdays--not Wednesdays--and that detail was not clear on Instagram. I was told it was listed on their website, but let's be real...this is 2026--people are checking IG and TikTok, not websites. If you're promoting on social media, it needs to be accurate. We got there around 4:15 PM (happy hour starts at 4), and the place was empty--music wasn't even on yet. My party of four was seated right away, and we ordered drinks, food, and hookah. The lounge itself was beautiful--decked out in red and black with a really nice vibe. I had lemon drops and wings--both were actually really good. No complaints on the food or drink at all. But just know, the wings were not $5 since that special didn't apply that day. Now...the hookah experience? A complete mess. The hookah wasn't $5 either--it was $25 if I recall correctly. The hookah attendant recommended a flavor that was honestly not good at all. When we told her we didn't like it and asked to switch flavors (which we were willing to pay for), she tried to make us purchase a refill instead of simply fixing the issue. We asked to speak to a manager. She went to the back and spoke with someone who I later found out was the owner--but he never came out to address us. That alone didn't sit right with me. Instead, she came back, grabbed the hookah, and walked off. No explanation, no replacement--nothing. It felt like, "We won't charge you, but you're also not getting another one." That whole situation completely turned us off. Now I will give credit where it's due--our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, attentive, and she did her best to take care of us. But overall, between the misleading Instagram promotion, the poor hookah experience, and the lack of management presence...this just wasn't it for me. Giving Voss 2/5 for good food, a beautiful space, and a great waitress Everything else? Needs work. Unfortunately, I won't be back!
