This a very nice spot. Loved the decor and the music that was played throughout my meal. We started with an order of sweet potato donut holes, which I was very skeptical about actually, but they were pretty tasty, I just wasn't a big fan of the breading. We then had a bit of a wait for our food because it was very packed for the 4th, and we enjoyed some mimosas in the mean time. Those mimosas definitely had champagne and SPLASH of juice! Lol but I liked it! My husband had the steak(medium) and eggs and I the French toast, scrambled eggs with cheese and hashbrowns. The French toast was very thick again I enjoyed the breading but not so much the crust. The eggs were great nice and fluffy as well as the has browns. Our server Chris was very attentive and I definitely enjoyed my time here! I would recommend for others to try this place as well!
Pleasantly surprised by the food. I did enjoy the Fried chicken sandwich, but the chicken was more of a cutlet than a breast (you can see how thin it is in the picture). We did get a glass of water where the cup smelled unclean. The server exchanged it, no problem. It was noon on a Thursday and it seemed they were understaffed. The server we did have was kind.
So much history and art here. The breakfast was good but I won't rush back to have. The beignets to start with the best part of the meal.
What an incredible experience! I was visiting from LA and wanted some authentic southern food. (I'm from Georgia) Everything we tried was exceptional. I started with the fried green tomatoes and then had grit fritters with a cup of the pork chili. Delicious, all of it. My mom loved the chicken and waffles and my son loved the burger. I had a boozy cappuccino thing that was also delightful.
This is such a cute neighborhood restaurant. We ordered the fried green tomatoes (they were okay). They could have been seasoned more. I ordered the BLT and breakfast potatoes (the breakfast potatoes stole the show ) the BLT was good as well. The Short Rib and grits were amazing. My goodness. It was delicious. I ordered the rum punch and it will get you were ever you trying to go . I felt amazing when I left here. My friend ordered the Mimosa flight and she felt amazing. Our server was extremely nice ( Im so upset I can't remember his name) but he was the best. They closed at like 2pm but they don't rush you out if you are there ahead of time. I highly recommend this place. It was a wonderful experience.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Casual, cool vibe in Inman Park, with garage doors and cool art. Lately I've been going for brunch after yoga and getting the short ribs and grits, which is an AMAZING gluten free meal. It has a huge hunk of delicious meat with a tasty au jus sauce, two eggs cooked to your liking, roasted carrots, and grits. It lasts me for three meals. I've been coming here for years and used to add kimchi to the lamb burger. Service is always good. These days, you can valet park or find street parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant.
Macaroni bites (no bacon) are some of the best I've ever had. They spiced it beautifully. We ordered that, fried green tomatoes, a breakfast sandwich with hash brows, and a side of the cucumber avocado salad because I felt like it was needed a non-fried vegetable. That cucumber avocado side salad was delicious. The avocado was perfectly ripe, and they drizzled this incredible spicy mustard (?) vinaigrette over it that complimented it beautifully. I wish I got more! The fried green tomatoes were phenomenal. I didn't try the breakfast sandwich, but the portion was generous. Service was not super fast, but our sever was very attentive and could answer all of our questions for us easily. Ambience is fantastic. It's like if indie music was a place.
What a fantastic place. I visited Folk Art with my fellow Elite, Ashley B., on a weekday afternoon and we had such a wonderful experience! This Folk Art location is nestled in a row of lovely restaurants that may go unnoticed if you don't know what you're looking for. Despite being smaller than some restaurants, there were still so many seating options available inside and on their covered terrace. There was also tons of free parking outside in an adjoining lot which can be a rarity these days. We were seated and paired up with Cam as our waiter and, wow. What a great guy! He was so patient, super nice and so open to sharing his recommendations. He seemed like he was happy to be at work and was in such a good mood, it rubbed off on me! We started with cappuccinos and the grit balls as we decided on our entrees. My coffee was so delicious, mixed with just the perfect amount of caramel. Such a great pick-me-up. The grit balls were delicious! The peach jam was such a great pairing with the fried grit balls, a great recommendation from Cam. For an entree I went for the 'Foul Play' which is their take on chicken and waffles. I'm not a huge chicken and waffles fan but I went for it. Everything was perfectly cooked but it's still not the raving success for me as it is for others lol. Before we left I grabbed a lavender lemonade and, WOW. It was SO good. The flavor actually stopped me in my tracks, it was infused so well! Overall, a fantastic first experience at Folk Art. Can't wait to visit the other locations!

I had the sweet potato pancakes and chicken sausage which was the best option for me. I tried the fried green tomatoes, which I haven't had since I was a kid when my southern grandmother would cook them. Compared to her's, theirs was okay. The short ribs and grits, chicken and waffles, and the steak and eggs were said to not be anybody's favorite. I knew this before I asked because they all left their plates unfinished and wanted to try my plate - which they liked.
We stopped by because we were staying in an Airbnb across the street and my husband needed some coffee. I was very happy to see that they had cocktails. Neither of us really eats breakfast but we did try the Randy which was so good we came back to get more the next day! Who doesn't love, pancake, battered bacon? All of the staff were extremely nice on both visits. If we were in the area, we would gladly come back and try some of the other food. We actually tried to come for dinner and realized they close early.
The decor was nice! The restaurant was absolutely too loud!! The music was extremely loud!! Server couldn't hear! Therefore placing the order was a terribly bad experience! Didn't have a large food selection! Seemed to have some good drink selection! I order burger & fries and pigs in a blanket and only ate a few fries! My food came out with hair on the plate! I wasn't satisfied with the experience of eating here at all!
My better half had a doctor's appointment in downtown ATL off North Druid Hills Road. We left the appointment around 11:15 and looked for nearby restaurants that served breakfast and lunch options. I found Folk Art on Yelp and we decided to give them a try. I am so glad we tried this location as the service and food were excellent! The restaurant had street parking and we parked around the corner from Folk Art. This is a fairly compact location so I am confident that they get very busy on weekends. Upon entry we were quickly greeted by a friendly wait staff person. She told us we could sit wherever we wanted and she delivered menus to our booth. Another member of their wait staff arrived at our table and took our drink orders. My better half wanted lunch so she ordered the steak sandwich with a side of sautéed spinach. I was in the mood for breakfast so I ordered the Folk Southern Fried (a large fried chicken breast on house made fluffy biscuits with two eggs and covered in scrumptious sausage gravy). I ordered my eggs poached and it was a delicious combination of hot fried chicken breast and perfectly cooked poached eggs. My better half enjoyed the steak sandwich which includes grilled mushrooms, onions, and red peppers covered in Provolone cheese. The sandwich has a delicious horseradish sauce piped over the sandwich. The interior of this restaurant is really cool with walls covered in art and beer signs. A very relaxing atmosphere with friendly and outgoing wait staff. If you haven't been to Folk Art Restaurant, you should give them a try as soon as possible!
My friends and I had brunch here and we had a great experience. I had the short ribs and grits and really enjoyed my meal. Everything was delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Nestled in the Inman Park neighborhood, this location offers nearby street parking or valet parking (pay what you want). We visited on a Saturday after a trip to the nearby Farmers Market at The Carter Center and were immediately seated. The red sangria was nice and strong. I ordered the complete breakfast with grits, eggs with cheese, sausage, and wheat toast. Unfortunately, the grits were bland, and the other items were pretty basic. The service was great, and the restaurant reminds me of a neighborhood hangout. In my opinion, it was dusty and could use a deep cleaning. Overall, I prefer the Hapeville location over this one. read more

This is of my favorite spots in Atlanta for breakfast/brunch. There is a good sized parking lot to the left of the buildings. Complimentary (for tips) valet on the weekends. The space isn't that big inside, but they use it very well. It is always clean and the service is excellent. I always appreciate the kindness and efficiency of the staff. I enjoy their brewed coffee and juice selection. Today I opted for the Complete Breakfast which included 3 eggs, a protein, grits or hash browns, and toast. You can get Delia's chicken sausage for a $2 up charge. Yum! I've visited many times and have never been disappointed. read more
Food: Really Good Food I ordered the veggie omelet with premium veggies, with hash brown and wheat toast, all very tasty, my guy ordered maple french toast and egg Benedict with salmon. He was not a fan of his food. He said that the egg Benedict was tasteless to the point that we had to add hot sauce. Service: Terrible This was our first visit to this location and we were very disappoint with the service received. It seems like this place has regulars and they were treated as elites. We had two group of people that came in after us, yes, we were seated before them however they were greeted well, given menus and beverages while we waited, then she was on to the second group that came in after us. After coming over to take our order and bringing our drinks out she never returned to our table until she was bringing out the tab, someone else brought out the food and the rest of the visit we were waiving other people down for coffee refills and hot sauce requests. My guy had to go asked for syrup and also swap out hot sauce, at this point he asked me for a tip because he felt like he worked there.-lol Ambiance: The place is adorable, all of the old signs gives the place so much character, the music was really good, it was so much fun watching the kid seated next to us sing most of the R & B songs playing. Had the service been better this place could have easily been placed into our weekend rotation. Will we be back??? Probably not. read more

One word. Underwhelming. I ordered coffee, it had grounds in it. I had to ask for another cup. The Fried Grits were decent, it paired pretty well with the jalapeño peach jam. But nothing above average. The biscuit and gravy were a let down unfortunately. Definitely not my favorite. read more
Got here on a Sunday about 12:00 and only waited 5 minutes for a table. My friend and I ordered a Bloody Mary which came with a seasoned rim. It was so good! I ordered the bacon Benedict which eggs weren't as runny as I like them to be and hollandaise sauce was kinda bland so needed salt. Over all it was good and will be back. read more

Hadn't been in years but met a colleague for a business lunch. I'd forgotten how much they have on the menu, even though a bit pricey if it's coming out of your own wallet! Still, I went basic, ordering the burger. It and the fries were very good, though will say I'm glad I ordered it well done because it still came a bit pink. I ate anyway & all was fine but be sure to consider that if you're sensitive to needing hamburger fully cooked. Service was friendly & adequate and the place has quaint decor befitting its name. I hope to go again soon to try some of the other items. read more

This was one of the most delicious lobster Benedict I've ever had- perfectly cooked on top of crispy English muffin. The braised beef short rib was also delicious, and I'll have to order a serving of those cheese grits for myself next time I'm here. The kids had waffles with the chocolate s'mores topping and cleaned their plates. Service was great, it was busy so a bit slow but everyone was really nice. Very artsy ambience, loved everything about it! read more

Being in the ATL for the weekend, friends took me here saying it was their favorite brunch spot. The place is nestled in a historic part of town with parking that could be a tad difficult as it appeared to be street only. It's a bit cozy, but it definitely has a nice prideful Georgia theme going on in the interior. I started off with the sweet potato beignets before ordering the fowl play and washing it all down with a special cocktail. I forget if it was strawberry or watermelon. The sweet potato beignets were a wonderful start to the meal. I'm not a fan of regular beignets because they're just crispy pieces of air drenched in powdered sugar. These had way more substance to them, and I'd recommend sharing them if you ordered a real entree. Speaking of entrees, I had the foil play. It's chicken and waffles, complete with syrup and an amazing peach compote. The compote gave the sweet and savory fried food a slight kick and it all tasted great as an experience. I wouldn't say the chicken and waffle were all that great though, which is a little disappointing for a southern spot. The cocktail I had was very refreshing and definitely a highlight. Service was also solid. If you're looking for a solid brunch place, Folk Art is it, but it takes considerable effort to get here if you're in the city. read more

Folk Art is one of my favorite restaurants to visit in the Atlanta area! It's typically very busy on the weekends, but they manage the waiting list effectively, ensuring everyone is seated promptly. What I adore about this particular location in the Inman Park is its decor and ambiance. Every time I bring someone here, we have a fantastic experience. The establishment exudes such a warm and inviting atmosphere, which likely contributes to why it stays busy. The menu offers a ton of food options that can leave you feeling indecisive, especially as you watch all the tasty dishes pass by. However, during my last visit, I opted for the "Complete Breakfast." This meal came with cheese eggs, bacon, hash browns , grits, chicken sausage and toast and let me tell, everything I ordered was delicious. This restaurant fills your plate up to the brim so you will be satisfied and full when you leave. My nephew chose the Shrimp Po Boy, and he raved about it! I sampled one of his shrimp and was impressed by the crispy batter, the freshness of the shrimp, and its delightful seasoning. Additionally, the generous serving of shrimp on the sandwich ensures that each bite is a flavorful experience. The Po Boy comes with any side of your choosing but nothing beats ordering some fries to compliment the dish. If you're in Inman Park, I highly recommend you stop by and give this place a try for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. Either way, you won't be disappointed! I've been craving the fried chicken sandwich since I last came here to eat. And it was just as delicious as the first time. Definitely hit the spot and a MUST try. The mac and cheese was an added bonus. It was so good. One thing that I didn't notice last time was the amazing art by R Land for sale on the wall. He's a local artist- bought one of his prints while I was eating. Dont pass this place up. The food is so good read more

We just went to a restaurant in Hapeville part of Atlanta and it actually was such a good experience!!! The service was very attentive, profesional but personal! I'm such a big fan of clean but fun restaurants! The Lord definitely gave us the gift of restaurants so we could understand what service means!! The ambiance was beautiful! It was such a fun restaurant and gave a cool vibe. Food was plated well and on good plates for proportions and types of food. Very deep and flavorful profiles of each food I tried! For the fact we had a party of 30 peeps they gave us all our food within an hour!!! LOVED THIS RESTAURANT def 9.5/10 for sure!! I had the Cobb salad with rosemary vinaigrette!!! So good! But the chicken and waffles, breakfast burger, and fried flounder sandwich were all good!! read more
I came here with my parents for brunch. The ambiance of the restaurant is really unique and artsy. I ordered the hot chocolate which wasn't very good and tasted watery and the quesadilla with a side of cheese grits. The quesadilla was pretty good and the cheese grits were also really good. My dad ordered blood Mary which was pretty strong and a grilled cheese with a side of tomato soup which he said was also good. My mom ordered the sweet potato beignets which did not taste at all like beignets but more like donut holes but none the less they tasted good. Our server was very nice but not the most attentive we did have to ask her for things multiple times before we got something but overall she was okay. read more
