    Farmer's Market 16"

The place was pretty busy as it was a Friday evening. Most people were ordering to go as it has a very small dining area and it's pretty much set up for takeout. I ordered the farmers market pizza to go. I called them to ask if it was possible to add garlic because on the website it says "No additional toppings". They checked and decided that request was an ok. I was disappointed that it was an additional $3.99 for fresh garlic yet I honestly couldn't find nor taste the garlic that much after biting into it, but such as it is. The pizza tasted very fresh with all of the veggies and there was a sweetness about it that complemented it very well. I'm not sure if it was the tomatoes that were sweet, but I did like the flavor. Unfortunately, the crust was a little overdone for my liking. I think this was just the luck of the draw. I'll try again next time and I'm not adding the charge of the sprinkles of garlic. I'll just put it on myself when I get home. Lol

As far as I'm concerned, my search for Atlanta's best gluten-free pizza is over. I was heartened by the praise of Pielands' GF crust and found them to be overwhelmingly correct. On the menu, the sole GF offering is in the form of a square personal pan size, and it includes one topping. Additional toppings can be added for a charge (though celiac diners beware: none of the toppings are safe). I wasn't sold on the look of things when the pie first came out since it looked heavily browned and burnt, but the taste was outstanding. The sauce is sweet in a recognizably NY-style, with a crust that I wouldn't have known was gluten-free if I hadn't ordered it myself. It was crispy with good chew, and the Italian sausage I'd chosen as my topping was savory without being too salty. My husband ordered two grandma slices from the ready pans, and I'm afraid he was less than enthused with his choices. Both of his slices were floppy and oily. After tasting mine, my non-GF husband remarked that he should've ordered one for himself too. We both loved the chef's salad, which was a healthy serving and surprisingly robust with toppings like olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, cubed cheese, sliced salami, pickled onions, and pickled peppers. It was a riot of colors in a bowl and a great starter for our meal. Service at the counter was brisk and business-like, though they were happy to answer whatever questions we had about the menu. They bring the food to your table (which has a dedicated pizza stand! I love little details like these), but you bus your own tray and trash afterwards. Inside, the restaurant has a casual, retro dive-bar feel, with 80s tunes (at least while I was there) and even a Ms. Pacman game machine in the corner. There are a few tables for dining in, and several tables out on the sidewalk for those who prefer to eat outdoors.

I recently tried their limited-edition barbecue pizza, and it was absolutely amazing. The flavors were perfectly balanced with the tangy barbecue sauce, fresh toppings, and that signature crust that Pieland does so well. I honestly hope they bring this one back because it was unforgettable. I enjoy coming here and the service is always great. If you're a pizza lover in Atlanta, Pieland is a must-visit--you won't regret it!

So this place is kind of tucked away but it's in the open if that makes sense. If you don't know where you're going you may not even see it. But it is a good gem and the neighborhood. It's located in the Virginia Highlands area and that area maybe small but it's very walkable. I came on Wednesday and they had dollar wing night. If you know how much wings cost in Atlanta, it's definitely worth it lol. I talked to the guys there, a couple of them, they were actually pretty cool. So we were their favors were and told me what they didn't necessarily like, since I was a first-timer. We are good conversation. They were just generally and genuinely decent when it came to conversation so I appreciate the customer service. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a TV you want to watch something. Didn't know what the weather is like, you may want to sit outside but at the same time it was too hot, you may not want to lol. But at least it's an option. I tried the garlic parmesan wings, I tried the lemon pepper wings, and I got a pepperoni slice as well as the pizza of the day (green granny). Also got a couple of garlic knots as well, just because. The parm wings were drenched in garlic parm and they were really good. The lemon pepper wings were okay, kind of like a lemon pepper semi wet. Comparing it to the level of wetness from the garlic parm (as you can see in the pics, its definitely a difference). But they were still good. The green granny was okay, if you like pesto. I was not sure what I expected, but it was the special pizza of the day so I went for it. The pepperoni slice was huge and had a good taste to it, the pepperoni that they used set it off. The garlic knots, I probably would not get again. They came out pretty hard and they were not worth the chewing (considering it was bread). Maybe this was an off batch, but still. Even in the pic, you can see them be a bit on the overcooked side. Overall, I would go back for another one of the Wednesday specials, it was well worth the money.

I saw this place today looking for something to eat. Parking was amazing and wasn't bad at all. I order the pepperoni slice. It was really good and the crust was great on its on. The young lady at the counter who took our order was really polite and helpful. The seating area was open. A lot of room.

I came back for a second time after a previously mediocre experience and boy was it a lot better and so good pizza-wise. We ordered to-go and on a weeknight and pick up was easy. Service was really great as our pizza was ready but they mentioned the garlic knots were still being warmed up - no biggie at all. The pizza was super good and hot. The toppings you definitely could tell were fresh. The garlic knots I still found to be lackluster and just doughy and a rather crispy near burnt bottom. With so many items on the many, next time I would opt to try another app to see! Would come back again to try another pizza or grab a slice to-go!

I'm so glad I tried this place. I just randomly decided that I wanted pizza. So I looked on Yelp and found this place. TikTok also highly recommended this place. So I got in the car and went there. Staff was friendly, and helpful. I didn't realize that they only have certain pizzas available for slices. So I settled on pepperoni and a white slice of pizza. It is fair to note that they also have sandwiches and appetizers available. I got two huge slices and it cost me $9. You cannot be that. And I am grateful bc the slices ended up being both lunch and dinner. So again, I was very happy with the price. It was nice to sit in the car, people watch in Virginia Highland and enjoy a hot slice of pizza. Small things in life :) Definitely worth coming back for. Grade: A

First time going here. I'm normally disappointed by the food in Atlanta but this is honestly one of the best pizza spots that I've been to. Very delicious, the pizza is very flavorful

The pizza is really good. I usually like meat on my pizza, beef and black olives, but I'm trying to ease my way into a lifestyle of not having to have "meat" with every meal including pizza. And the Noni was my go to. I did not miss not having beef. The pizza was really good. The service was good too. Definitely a gem in the VA-Highland neighborhood. I see why it's so popular.

The pizza was okay at best. Service was swift and courteous. The decor felt like a scene in 'Stranger Things'.

We started with the Chargrilled Louisiana Oysters, which were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious--honestly, the best I've ever had. The Volcano Roll was also great--generous in size and perfect for sharing. It's listed as having "spicy crab," but I didn't find it spicy at all (a plus for me!). If you want more heat, wasabi is served on the side. For entrees, I had the Salmon Teriyaki and my husband had the Braised Beef. My salmon was perfectly cooked and came with fluffy white rice and mixed vegetables. But he definitely won the entree round--his beef was tender, flavorful, and served with what tasted like sweet mashed potatoes (the menu said red potatoes). The glazed carrots were slightly firm but still tasty. To top it all off, we were served a mini chocolate cake with whipped vanilla icing--soft, rich, and perfect for sharing. Between the décor, the lighting, and the music, the entire space feels intentional and immersive in a way that sets the tone for the whole experience. It is the kind of place that makes you slow down and actually enjoy being there. We started with cocktails, and both were memorable in very different ways. The Cucumber Salad was one of the most interesting drinks I have had because it genuinely tasted like a cucumber salad. It was fresh, crisp, and unlike anything else I have tried. The Mango Sticky Rice, though, was the clear standout for me. It was sweet, balanced, and easily one of the best cocktails of the afternoon. For food, we ordered the 777 Platter, which came with Crispy Rice Tuna, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, and Isan Fried Chicken. Everything on the platter was good, but the Salt and Pepper Shrimp was the dish that really stood out. It was perfectly seasoned, crispy, and full of flavor. The Isan Fried Chicken was also a must-order. It had great texture and was one of those dishes that makes you want to keep going back for another bite. By the time we finished that round, we were already talking about what we would order the next time we came back. We also had another round of cocktails, the Cosmopolitan and the Paper Tiger, and both were just as enjoyable as the first round. Next came the Kimchi Fried Rice with Steak and a side of Edamame. The kimchi fried rice was easily one of my favorite dishes of the entire meal. It was rich, savory, comforting, and packed with flavor. It is the kind of dish I would come back for on its own. To finish, we had the Yuzu Donuts served with Matcha Ice Cream and the Black Jack Lava Cake, along with one final cocktail, the Good Time Girl. Both desserts were the perfect ending to the meal. They felt like the right balance of sweet and satisfying without being too heavy. What stood out most to me about Black Jack Bar Tapas was that every part of the experience delivered. The food was excellent, the cocktails were creative, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made the whole meal feel special. It is the kind of place where you want to stay a little longer just because the energy is so good. Out of every restaurant I have visited for Reservations in the City, Black Jack Bar Tapas has easily become one of my favorites. First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.

Now this was a treat…read more I had no idea Little Spirit was tucked away where it is--I usually frequent Delbar just up the street--so stumbling upon this spot was such a pleasant surprise. I know the word gets overused, but it truly was a whole vibe. What I loved most is that it's the kind of place where everyone feels welcome. There's no pressure, no strict dress code--just a come-as-you-are energy, and people genuinely receive you that way. Within five minutes of being there, I already felt comfortable. Everyone was so friendly--the bartenders, the people around us, even the random interactions felt warm and easy. The space itself is really cool too. They have artwork featuring icons like Prince, Tupac, and Biggie, which added to the overall atmosphere. We ordered the King Peach (I believe it had bourbon--I did take a picture of the menu, though it's a little cut off), and it was really good. Smooth, flavorful, and easy to sip. They're open until 2 AM, so it's a great spot whether you're grabbing a drink with friends, on a date, or even just stopping by solo to soak in the energy. It's one of those places where you can just be. I'd love to make this a regular spot--definitely somewhere I can see myself coming back to at least once a month.

Little Spirit is a cute cocktail bar in Inman Park. The place is small and can get very crowded on…read morethe weekend but tends to be not as full during the week. They have seating inside as well as some outdoor patio seating with heaters. I love their cocktails here! I haven't had a bad one yet and I was blown away by their slushie. I'm not even a fan of frozen drinks but I got to try their version of an alcoholic Wendy's milkshake and it was incredible. I hope to come back before they switch it out so I can order that. The bartenders are amazing! Super friendly and helpful and they make incredible drinks. Don't forget to check out their happy hour Monday thru Friday until 8 pm (I believe).
