Two slices lemon pepper and meat lovers
    Andrea F.

Service was great. Location is inside the sweet auburn market. I stopped to try the oxtail and ricotta pizza but they didn't have that available so I ordered the lunch special which came with two specialty slices and a drink. I selected the lemon pepper and the meat pizza. I will go back to try the oxtail. I had seen this restaurant on Good Morning America and it was on my list of places to visit. Pizza was good but service was great and I will try them again. They do have a discount on parking if you self validate it on your way out of the door.

This review is for their new location in The Municipal Market. Pros: - Digital process in which you'll get a mobile text msg when your order is ready. This allows you to walk around and shop while they prepare your order. - Pizza has a right balance of ingredients. The crust is definitely as good as everyone says it is. - Their stall is conveniently located next to the largest open seating area in the building. - Pizza is made fresh and only took 15 minutes from time order was placed to when it was brought to my table. *Bonus points for them bringing it out to me. Cons: - The menu prices might be inaccurate. For example, I paid $2 for a topping of Pepperoni even though the menu priced it at $1. Manager says they are "working to fix some things." Since they just opened I gave them grace. - Extra 4% charge if you pay by card (you can avoid this by paying in cash). - Cashier could be more helpful. Sidenote: - I love the cute box for my slice of pizza but for their sake, I hope they switch to something more economical like paper plates and foil for single slice and dine-in orders. All in all, this is solid pizza establishment and a great addition to the Curb Market.

Start was a bit questionable since the food truck took a while to set up but wait was well worth it as the crust/dough was one of the best I've had in Atlanta! This is coming from someone that doesn't even like crust! Love their unique menu and their most popular lemon pepper is so so good! It's buttery, tangy/lemony, and pillowy! Oxtail and ricotta was good too but needed a little more flavor so by adding hot peppers, it was perfect. Loved their pies and look forward to trying other flavors!

This was a first time visit for my family and I to the Atlanta Municipal Market (where Phew's Pies is located). Parking is located on the side of the market and is free for two hours. We ordered the lemon pepper pizza. It was delish! It also tasted light so we didn't feel guilty after eating it. We will definitely order again on our next visit.

First of all, I am that person who orders thin crust and still doesn't eat the crust. When I tell you I savored this pizza, crust and all...the flavors were absolutely heavenly and the texture of the crust was incredible. The sauce was divine, the cheese pull was so satisfying, and the toppings were ridiculously fresh. I am so glad I attended the event at Westside Motor Lodge and tried this amazing pizza.

How does a restaurant manage to get featured on Good Morning America competing in the semi-finals for "United State of Pizza / The Best Pizza" to see which pizzeria is the 'best in the A' without anyone in my family having ever heard of them?!! https://secretatlanta.co/pizza-phews-pies-atlanta-gma/ Because we're old and out of the loop. Just kidding. Not even the 'youngins' in my family had heard of 'em, but once my brother told us about their appearance on the show, we just had to check 'em out and show the some support. In case you're wondering, they won and went to New York and competed - crown eventually wet to Wrecktangle Pizza in Minneapolis. https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-lifestyle/good-morning-america-names-minneapolis-pizza-joint-as-best-in-country I love Minneapolis because it gifted the world with Prince - but never knew they were known for churning out excellent pizza. According to interviews, Matthew Foster (the chef) describes himself as 90% self-taught and his first claim to fame was working on Nick Cannon's "Wild 'N Out." After the pandemic hit, he started slinging dough part time and apparently a re-tweet by rapper Killer Mike turned his side hustle into a real juggernaut. The specialize in signature, artisanal pizzas, among them - Lemon Pepper Wet pizza, Oxtail & Ricotta pizza, Honey Hot pizza and Jive Turkey pizza. They even came out with a PPP Pizza (parmesan, pineapple & pepperoni)! I ran into a few issues when I tried to place my order,* but J was finally able to place an order last week. He got a Lemon Pepper Wet pizza, a Sausage pizza and dessert pizza (S'Mores pizza). I don't eat lemon pepper wings, so I didn't even waste my calories by trying the Lemon Pepper wet pizza, but I did have a slice of the Sausage pizza. It was pretty good. The crust was a little tough and it could have used a bit more sausage, but you could tell the toppings were fresh and the sauce tasted homemade. J & his kids loved the Lemon Pepper wet but said they were expecting it to be 'different.' I think they expected more chunks of pieces of shredded chicken versus the wings and lemon wedges sitting on top of the pizza. J's daughter said she liked it but thought it was a little salty. I didn't try the dessert pizza, but everyone else said it was pretty good - just very rich. Most of it was still in the downstairs fridge three days later. It looked delicious though. If I went back, I'd like to try the Jive Turkey and Margherita pizza - or possibly the Supreme. I definitely think you should give 'em a try! *According to the AJC, it's virtual pizzeria five nights a week, online orders only and a Tuesday pop-up at Boggs Social & Supply. I think that's why I had issues trying to place my order and why some of the early negative Google reviews said it was a scam based on the original address being a home address.

They offer fresh basil, spices, cheese and other things. Also have paper plates and cups to grab. I like the open style kitchen and seatings it makes you feel at home. They have seating up front that is closed off and bar style areas you can stand and eat if you're alone or not in a big group. I think they have outside seating too. We got margarita, pizza, and one with pepperoni and it was really delicious. The cheese pulled on some of the pizzas, but I had to heat mine up for her to get that full melted caramelized look. I like mine a little more crunchy so I just put it in the oven for a little bit longer. The flavor was still pure and fresh and really tasty. I would suggest asking or adding on extra basil. They do sprinkle it on or the cheese covers it.

Disappointing Food Quality and Poor Customer Experience…read more Unfortunately, my visit left a lot to be desired. The pizza arrived with a noticeably burnt crust -- not the charred, Neapolitan-style char that some places intentionally aim for, but genuinely overcooked to the point where it affected the overall flavor and texture of the dish. What made the experience worse was the interaction with the owner. Rather than being met with hospitality, the exchange felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For a dining establishment, the attitude of those running it matters just as much as the food itself.

The restaurant is quite small so if you're dining with a large party to go, might be your best bet. However, they did not stop us me and my best friend and my toddler ordered a few things off the menu and a couple of cocktails (obviously not the toddler). The peach Bellini and espresso martini were made really well. The espresso martini had a perfect foam that was just the right thickness and they do not use an insane amount of Baileys, which was a plus for me. We got the margarita pizza add spicy, Italian sausage and the hot honey char pizza as well as the meatballs. Everything had wonderful flavoring, everything was cooked to perfection in the food came out at the perfect temperature. Everything was priced appropriately. For my half of the bill I had the hot honey jar, pizza, and the espresso martini. My total was like $29 or something like that. Our waitress was awesome! I would have went 5 on this one but the wine list was not compatible with the overall experience. The wine list seemed to cater to a much higher end experience. I was really comfortable with the environment, but it's definitely not an elegant atmosphere. For example, a restaurant should not offer a $150 bottle of Clos Pegas and then wrap utensils in a paper napkin. It was a very relaxed enjoyable experience and the food was amazing!!

I got their Margherita pizza because I was interested in their ricotta stuffed crust. It was certainly one of the prettiest pizzas I've had! It also tasted pretty good. The crust was folded over into points where the ricotta was, which might have also helped the pizza be very stable and not too floppy. I'd say this pizza was close to a NY-style pizza.

Maybe next time, and maybe a whole pie instead, as I'm not typically a fan of pizza that stays out on the counter for a bit. That's just me, I bet this is usual, so no points off to them for this. I decided to grab The Marino from their menu. I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were super flavorful, a lot better than most places. The bread they used seemed to have been more on the Ciabatta side. The texture of the bread was soft and not hard to bite into. The sauce was not doused on this, which was great for me, so I didn't get any in my beard. It said panini, but I didn't sense the bread was pressed at all. Maybe there is something different about this in Italy that I'm not aware of? The sandwich was great overall, I wish it was larger or had an option to be larger. At $9.99, I really can't complain. Coulda just gotten two. Maybe next time! :D The shop is really cool and carries a lot of Italian/EU imports. I was able to find a jar of Nutella that is imported, which if you know, imported Nutella taste different than US Nutella and comes in a glass jar instead of plastic and taste creamier. They also had lots of pastas, sauces and candies. Some Easter stuff leftover as well at the time of this post. EU easter candy is better than American easter candy. :D When you walk in, the line sort of leads to the back and you make your way up to the front. In the glass, there are various burrata's available for around $8 each. Good for making your own pizza or perhaps an Italian dish. I didn't pay attention to what milk was used, but this is Georgia, so you make do. The drinks are all canned or bottled. They had some imported sparkling waters. You can tell by the fact that the caps don't twist off and are attached to the bottle intentionally because the EU requires this to avoid pollution by people leaving bottle caps all over the place. The young lady at the counter super knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. She was very sweet and good to talk to. I came after a lunch rush, so she asked me to pick a seat and let her know so she can clean it up. Very much appreciated that. Place is a little small and not a lot of seats. If you happen to come during lunch hour, be prepared to get the order to go and sit outside or across in the park center of the square. It's very well maintained from the looks of it and would be a great picnic area. Overall, I enjoyed this location very much. I would definitely come again to try some of their other offerings.
