Great dive type place. Service is fast. Was there at 600p on Saturday 8/22. Place was very busy. Everything was good except for the charred crust. Had to scrape sauce and toppings off a few pieces it was so bad. It may have been because they were so busy they left them in the oven too long. Hard to pay $30 for a burnt pizza. May give them another try on different day to see if it's the same. read more

Amazing Neapolitan style pizza. Always a great spot. Get there early and bring your own wine. Lol.

The pizza itself was really good, and we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. They were playing Italian music, and it was really cool being able to watch the pizzas being made right in front of us in the open fire ovens. It definitely gave the place a fun and authentic vibe. Unfortunately, our experience with the woman working at the register really took away from the visit. While I was looking through the menu, she was on her phone watching TikTok videos loudly. When I asked her a question about the menu, she didn't really answer and instead just pointed at the menu. She came across as very unfriendly and made us feel like we were bothering her by asking questions. What bothered us the most happened when I stepped outside to get something from the car and my wife went up to look at the menu. The woman told her, "We only have an English menu," even though my wife had already been speaking to her in English. We both felt that the comment was unnecessary and inappropriate, and it made my wife feel singled out because of her appearance. It's unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed the pizza and the atmosphere, but the customer service left us with a pretty negative impression of the experience. The food was great, but I hope the restaurant addresses how customers are treated at the register. read more

I liked the open style but if you're with a group it might be difficult to get seating. Everyone is trying to save seats at tables for their group so there ends up being a lot of empty seating that you can't use because people are saving it for their friends. The food was delicious and I was surprised at their limited of selection of pizzas, but because they were delicious and they came out so quickly, I didn't actually mind. They just aren't going to be known for their variety. I like their topping bar that you can add more of whatever you want, but I wish there were water jugs instead of just the vending machine. The music was very loud but I liked it because it made me feel better about having open conversations and not needing to be quiet. read more

Did online order and pick up time 613 pm . Actual time it is ready was 635 pm. Front staff was not helpful and had to go back to kitchen myself to figure out the long delay. Crust burnt. No bueno and not worth $30. Better pizza and service at Domino's...no ambiance just disorganized read more

No visit to Atlanta would be complete without visiting its highest rated pizzeria, and it did not disappoint. We had both the white pie and the classic pie, and both were delicious. Unfortunately, both had significant flop and a weak undercarriage - which detract from the overall experience - but the flavor of the sauce and cheese, as well as the char of the crust, were completely on point. The white pie had a more muted taste, which worked well. A little more crisp on the undercarriage and we'd be debating the eliteness of this pizza compared to all of the legends in the Northeast. read more

Ordered via Uber eats since they had a Bogo , when we arrived it wasn't ready so we had time to go to the back room where they prepare the pizza and grab toppings. They offer fresh basil, spices, cheese and other things. Also have paper plates and cups to grab. I like the open style kitchen and seatings it makes you feel at home. They have seating up front that is closed off and bar style areas you can stand and eat if you're alone or not in a big group. I think they have outside seating too. We got margarita, pizza, and one with pepperoni and it was really delicious. The cheese pulled on some of the pizzas, but I had to heat mine up for her to get that full melted caramelized look. I like mine a little more crunchy so I just put it in the oven for a little bit longer. The flavor was still pure and fresh and really tasty. I would suggest asking or adding on extra basil. They do sprinkle it on or the cheese covers it. read more

Came here on a Sunday with my daughter and a bunch of her friends, all of whom go to Tech. They wanted to meet up over the summer since they're all doing stuff over the summer. We were one of the first ones there. The folks taking orders were not very polite, and quite disrespectful. I told them we were waiting for others and that the customers behind us could order. Don't give me a frustrated look when I'm trying to be helpful and considerate to you and other customers. It's not like there was a long line of customers waiting to order. The setup here is not as good as the other Antico locations. It's much smaller, and the music playing is quite loud. They brought a pizza out to us and they asked what number we were, I said '4' but I also said we ordered more pizzas, and they dropped the single pizza off. We started eating the single pizza (it is one of the pizzas we ordered), and the other pizzas came, but they then got upset with me as they realized they dropped off the single pizza to the wrong table. Not my fault they're not listening or care enough to verify how many pizzas each customer ordered. I said they can take the new pizza the other customer ordered, but she went off in a huff. They also don't have pitchers/containers of water like the other locations, so they expect you to get your water from the dirty sink they have near the pickup window. The pizzas were tasty, as the toppings were actually quite good but unfortunately the pizzas are quite floppy. Unfortunately, this experience was quite horrendous, and my daughter's friends won't be going back to this place anytime soon. I get it, you're a pizza place near a college campus so you're going to get business. Your staff needs to adjust their attitude when something doesn't work the way they want. read more

Keep in mind that my food was ordered via door dash so I can't comment on ambience or service. First off, I loved that the boxes were secured with tape. Very safe and sanitary, especially for delivery. The pizza was delicious. I got the margarita with cherry peppers added. The cherry peppers were charred/blistered which really allowed the flavors to shine through and they actually tasted spicy (which isn't always the case with me). Good sauce to cheese ratio. Pizza heats up great the next day or the day after that in the oven but the crust does get a bit hard, sometimes inedible. Overall I'd definitely order from here again. read more

Hotel delivery review, not notes on ambience. I'm in Atlanta for a conference and I was looking for some really good pizza. I have a standard yelp requirement, at least four stars and more than 100 reviews. Sometimes I give a pass, but this time didn't need it. It is clear why Antico Pizza is as highly rated. This pizza was beyond delicious, it lives up to the hype. Please be kind for yourself. Order from here. Good pizza is self love. Treat yourself! read more

Antico shows up in just about every article that I read about the best pizza in the USA. The accolades are well deserved! While the space is decidedly a no frills pizza joint, the pizza itself is next level good with freshness evident in every mouthful. Counter service is efficient and a bit transactional but the counter help does not need to become my best friend. read more

Best Pizza I have ever had. PERIOD. Small business you cannot customize pizza. They don't have a large menu , they offer wine and other canned or bottled drinks for purchase and they have a seating area in the kitchen where you can see them make your delicious pizza. Self serve condiment area: chili flakes, chili oil, Parmesan and other... It comes out fresh and ready to eat and WOW. Fast service and I will be back again. I've only ever gotten takeout here, but have been impressed each time. Our pizza was ready super fast and still fresh when we brought it home. Tried to Diavola - we loved the kick from the peppers and thought the sauce tasted super bright and fresh. The crust here is also a highlight for me. These pizzas are pretty big, so think they're def worth their value. The salad was super fresh, but maybe a bit overpriced for what it was - that said, would def still order it if we were eating at the restaurant which we want to do sometime soon! read more

Always a pleasure to visit, I recruited 2 new fans - one of them vegetarian. The server was polite enough but not memorable. Came here on a weekday evening around 8PM, lots of people there! Order first, get given a number, and your pizza gets brought to you. A friend and I shared the Diavola, came out to be around $25 post-tax. There's outdoor seating available, indoors is like a cafeteria with big, long, shared tables. Pizza came out quickly, there's also an area with condiments (garlic, spicy oil, salt, pepper, etc) too. The pizza flavor was decent but the middle was super soggy, really difficult to eat, slices weren't cut evenly. Pizza was huge though, definitely good to share between two. As a side note, this place highly reminded me of Desano's in Nashville, but Desano's pizza is way better. read more

I found this pizzeria through Yelp and after seeing all the great reviews I decided to try it myself and it did not disappoint. As you walk in you notice the restaurant is fairly large. Customer service is also friendly. I ordered the traditional Margherita pizza. They specialize in Neapolitan style pizzas. The pizza was extremely rich in flavor. From the sauce to the cheese to the dough I really enjoyed the flavor combination. If you enjoy pizza, especially Neapolitan style then you must try this! read more

Got their Lasagna pizza for takeout. So good! Exceptional crust. Great house-made sauce and it was perfectly portioned for the pizza. This place is very casual compared to their other locations, and the service was pretty lackluster. As someone who used to work the food industry, it really bothers me when employees sit behind the counter on their phone the entire time. The bathroom was also not great and I'll make sure to not use it next time I come back here LOL. But the pizza is worth the return. Great value for good quality ingredients and again... Came in for pizza given my friend recommended this place. You walk in and order, pay. They make your pizza and deliver to ur table. Tables located in the back which overlooks the kitchen. So cool. They have a self serve area for toppings also. The pizza is so freaking good. Thin crust and the flavor just wow! We did encounter an issue while paying which is why I dropped 1 star. My friend paid for our pizza and noticed a higher price on the receipt than what she was told verbally. Disappointing Food Quality and Poor Customer Experience Unfortunately, my visit left a lot to be desired. The pizza arrived with a noticeably burnt crust -- not the charred, Neapolitan-style char that some places intentionally aim for, but genuinely overcooked to the point where it affected the overall flavor and texture of the dish. What made the experience worse was the interaction with the owner. Rather than being met with hospitality, the exchange felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For a dining establishment, the attitude of those running it matters just as much as the food itself. read more

This pizza is recommended by Michelin, whom I respect. On a wet night in October, we decided to do takeout and ordered our pizza ahead of time. There was a long line of people ordering when I strolled in, and no separate line for takeout. Thus, I was compelled to wait at least ten minutes, and my pizza was obviously cold when it was finally my turn. The overly made-up woman taking orders was haughty and unfriendly, not like most people in Atlanta. That was a warning that I would be disappointed. After I provided my name, she pulled out two boxes from a tower of boxes and nodded. I guessed that was our order and grabbed them. Once back at the apartment, we dug into the two pies. Limp, tasteless --except for some garlic --the pizza was terrible. Antico Pizza doesn't deserve your business. I had one slice and threw the rest out. read more

Antico is one of the best Atlanta spots for pizza. The margarita pizza is a classic Italian favorite and you cannot go wrong. The crispy pizza crust is made in house and the smoky flavor enhances each bite. The ratio of sauce and cheese is also well balanced, delivering a perfect bite each time. The restaurant is an order and sit down style. There are plenty of booths available but you might have to end up sharing if you visit during lunch rush. I found the toppings bar to be a great addition and now need it at all pizza places! There was garlic, spices and chili oil available to customize the flavor levels of your slice. Parking is located in the back of the restaurant and a quick walk to the front door. read more

It had been many years since I'd last gone to Antico. A few days ago, my boyfriend said he was craving pizza, and the memories of this place filled my head. Since he and his mother had never been, I decided we should go! Saturday rolled around and we stopped in a little before 6pm. On the drive there, I realized that we forgot the bottle of wine that we had planned to bring... ugh! Next time! They sell it too but the fact that they allow you to bring your own alcohol is really nice. It took us a while to find parking because the lot was filled. We ended up doing street parking right off the main road in front of Gio's. We entered and ordered at the counter just as it has always been, and walked to the back to find seating. The ambiance feels very hole in the wall Italian. It's casual and no frills, where you can see the chefs making your pizza. There's also a topping bar with various things you can grab including fresh minced garlic, hot peppers, extra virgin olive oil, crushed red pepper, chili paste, grated Parmesan, etc. They were already pretty busy and packed up a lot of to go orders, so it felt like it took a while but the wait wasn't too bad. At last, our pizzas arrived on a big metal pan. We got a classic Margherita Pizza and one of my old favorites: the Sophia Pizza. I always like getting one red and one white pizza for variety. We all loved everything. The ingredients are fresh. The flavors are popping. The textures and temperature are perfect. My boyfriend and his mother agreed that this is their new favorite pizza place in town! Our only request is that they should offer bread (if not complimentary, for purchase). We would've loved to have dipped some in the oil and toppings as we waited for our pizzas to arrive. Either way, we will be back sooner rather than later! The gelato and espresso place isn't located where it used to be, but I knew that already. Instead, it's around back of Gio's (affiliated with Antico) next door, where you enter from that little parking lot. It's super cute with a European feel. After dinner, I got myself an affogato with tiramisu gelato, my boyfriend got a cookies n cream gelato, and my boyfriend's mother got a mango gelato. It was a practically perfect evening! read more

I stayed away for a long time because I didn't have faith Atlanta really had a top 50 pizza spot for real. Ended up stopping in on my way home from vacation against my better judgement because I would never know if I didn't try. The cashier was doing a million things but still very friendly and polite. Most people would have been overwhelmed but she stayed composed. The space is interesting. You walk in to a small area to order then around the corner it opens up to more tables and the kitchen. Interesting setup but it does the job. But of course the pizza. We went for the pizza or the space or cashier. We ordered the lasagna and the verdura because it felt necessary to try both a red and white pie. The lasagna was delicious. Good sauce flavor, decent amount of toppings, good crust flavor. Center was super floppy so the first half of the slice was basically fork and knife pizza. But tasted good nonetheless. Then the verdura which was a white pie with broccoli rabe, tomatoes, and mushrooms. This pie while probably has potential Certainly didn't show it while we were there. The over all seasoning fell flat and needed something to brighten it up with the bitterness of the broccoli rabe. Maybe some lemon juice and some salt. (Which salt is available to apple yourself) after two bites and it being very biter I turn the pizza over and it's completely burnt. Which obviously burnt dough is bitter. So between it being burnt and the rabe the pizza wasn't even edible. We ate some of the toppings just to "try" it but the end result was a trash pizza. For a top 50 pizza spot with 6k reviews averaging 4.5+ stars there's never an excuse to send out a burnt pie. Things happen but you can smell burnt food and to still send that out to a customer shows the standards of Atlanta dining. When I reached out the response was "yes that's over done, it happens, but next time..." Like seriously?! If burnt pizza is being sent out why would I want to visit again?! But again Atlanta loves low quality food and because someone said it's good they will continue to dine no matter the quality of the food . read more

It has been 10 years since I updated my last review (12/05/2014) and I stopped here today with my children for a NYE dinner. I ordered two of their Margherita D.O.P. Pie's which are made of Bufala Mozzarella, Basil, Garlic and are drizzled with Olive Oil. I must say damn... it was so delicious and usually my youngest will not eat the crust. After 10 years, I must say this is the absolute best Napoletana pizza I have tried in Atlanta. If you are a fan of Authentic Neapolitan pizza, which is very think crust, you will probably love it here. Just be aware with tax, you will pay around $25 per pizza and it is only large enough for two people. One adult and two children can easily eat two Margherita pizzas. We ordered: Capricciosa white pizza - prosciutto cotto, mushroom, artichoke, bufala, garlic Crust was solid - a good balance of floppy and crispy. Not as floppy as most Neapolitan pizza I've had. My friend treated me to Antico during a recent vacation. We ate there and also ordered a pizza to go for another friend who had a hankering for their pizza. The pizza was thin and tasty. My friend and I both ate half a pizza without feeling overly stuffed. I liked it regular, but there are some extra toppings you can add from a station in the dining room like Parmesan cheese and oil. There is a parking lot behind the building, and there is a dining room behind the entry room where you order. Lastly, I like that they serve the pizza on a big aluminum sheet pan. read more

I've gotten to a place in my life where when my partner and I are about to travel and be in different city, I want to research spots. Currently, I'm making Beard and Michelin noted places. This one popped up with MIchelin and both of us are lover of a good pie. Thankfully, please don't shoot me, this is deliverable through the restaurant itself and 3rd party. We ended up getting two different pizzas, a Ross and a Bianche. We opted with San Gennaro, Italian Susage, Sweet Red Pepper, Cippolini Onion, Buffalo Mozzarella and Garlic. This one was great and such a honker! HUGE pieces of sausage did make it hard to eat without it fully collapsing. We also got a Capricciosa, Italian Ham, Mushroom, Artichoke, Bufala and Garlic. This was quite good! The artichoke added a tinge of funkiness that I wasn't expecting. It's worthy of note that these pizzas are fairly large as well. These were fantastic, please understand. I used to enjoy pizza at Antico. Today I ordered 2 pizza's and they were SO SALTY I could not believe it. The crust is also changed, It is really doughy uncooked in the middle. The worst part of the experience is how LOUD the music was. We had a hard time hearing each other so I asked them to tun down the music. No change was made I asked a total of 3 times and the last time I asked I was told the Manager insists the music be LOUD and would punish anyone who turns the music down. I will NOT be back. Add to this they only have 3 regular parking spaces. There are so many better options out there. I'm not sure how they stay in business. read more
