Ordered via Uber eats since they had a Bogo , when we arrived it wasn't ready so we had time to go to the back room where they prepare the pizza and grab toppings. They offer fresh basil, spices, cheese and other things. Also have paper plates and cups to grab. I like the open style kitchen and seatings it makes you feel at home. They have seating up front that is closed off and bar style areas you can stand and eat if you're alone or not in a big group. I think they have outside seating too. We got margarita, pizza, and one with pepperoni and it was really delicious. The cheese pulled on some of the pizzas, but I had to heat mine up for her to get that full melted caramelized look. I like mine a little more crunchy so I just put it in the oven for a little bit longer. The flavor was still pure and fresh and really tasty. I would suggest asking or adding on extra basil. I liked the open style but if you're with a group it might be difficult to get seating. Everyone is trying to save seats at tables for their group so there ends up being a lot of empty seating that you can't use because people are saving it for their friends. The food was delicious and I was surprised at their limited of selection of pizzas, but because they were delicious and they came out so quickly, I didn't actually mind. They just aren't going to be known for their variety. I like their topping bar that you can add more of whatever you want, but I wish there were water jugs instead of just the vending machine. Came here on a Sunday with my daughter and a bunch of her friends, all of whom go to Tech. They wanted to meet up over the summer since they're all doing stuff over the summer. We were one of the first ones there. The folks taking orders were not very polite, and quite disrespectful. I told them we were waiting for others and that the customers behind us could order. Don't give me a frustrated look when I'm trying to be helpful and considerate to you and other customers. It's not like there was a long line of customers waiting to order. The setup here is not as good as the other Antico locations. It's much smaller, and the music playing is quite loud. They brought a pizza out to us and they asked what number we were, I said '4' but I also said we ordered more pizzas, and they dropped the single pizza off. We started eating the single pizza (it is one of the pizzas we ordered), and the other pizzas came, but they then got upset with me as they realized they dropped off the single pizza to the wrong table. Not my fault they're not listening or care enough to verify how many pizzas each customer ordered. I said they can take the new pizza the other customer ordered, but she went off in a huff. They also don't have pitchers/containers of water like the other locations, so they expect you to get your water from the dirty sink they have near the pickup window. The pizzas were tasty, as the toppings were actually quite good but unfortunately the pizzas are quite floppy. Unfortunately, this experience was quite horrendous, and my daughter's friends won't be going back to this place anytime soon. No visit to Atlanta would be complete without visiting its highest rated pizzeria, and it did not disappoint. We had both the white pie and the classic pie, and both were delicious. Unfortunately, both had significant flop and a weak undercarriage - which detract from the overall experience - but the flavor of the sauce and cheese, as well as the char of the crust, were completely on point. The white pie had a more muted taste, which worked well. Keep in mind that my food was ordered via door dash so I can't comment on ambience or service. First off, I loved that the boxes were secured with tape. Very safe and sanitary, especially for delivery. The pizza was delicious. I got the margarita with cherry peppers added. The cherry peppers were charred/blistered which really allowed the flavors to shine through and they actually tasted spicy (which isn't always the case with me). Good sauce to cheese ratio. I used to enjoy pizza at Antico. Today I ordered 2 pizza's and they were SO SALTY I could not believe it. The crust is also changed, It is really doughy uncooked in the middle. The worst part of the experience is how LOUD the music was. We had a hard time hearing each other so I asked them to tun down the music. No change was made I asked a total of 3 times and the last time I asked I was told the Manager insists the music be LOUD and would punish anyone who turns the music down. I will NOT be back. There was a long line of people ordering when I strolled in, and no separate line for takeout. Thus, I was compelled to wait at least ten minutes, and my pizza was obviously cold when it was finally my turn. The overly made-up woman taking orders was haughty and unfriendly, not like most people in Atlanta. That was a warning that I would be disappointed. I stayed away for a long time because I didn't have faith Atlanta really had a top 50 pizza spot for real. Ended up stopping in on my way home from vacation against my better judgement because I would never know if I didn't try. The cashier was doing a million things but still very friendly and polite. Interesting setup but it does the job. But of course the pizza. We went for the pizza or the space or cashier. We ordered the lasagna and the verdura because it felt necessary to try both a red and white pie. The lasagna was delicious. Good sauce flavor, decent amount of toppings, good crust flavor. Center was super floppy so the first half of the slice was basically fork and knife pizza. But tasted good nonetheless. Then the verdura which was a white pie with broccoli rabe, tomatoes, and mushrooms. This pie while probably has potential Certainly didn't show it while we were there. The over all seasoning fell flat and needed something to brighten it up with the bitterness of the broccoli rabe. Maybe some lemon juice and some salt. (Which salt is available to apple yourself) after two bites and it being very biter I turn the pizza over and it's completely burnt. Which obviously burnt dough is bitter. So between it being burnt and the rabe the pizza wasn't even edible. We ate some of the toppings just to "try" it but the end result was a trash pizza. For a top 50 pizza spot with 6k reviews averaging 4.5+ stars there's never an excuse to send out a burnt pie. Things happen but you can smell burnt food and to still send that out to a customer shows the standards of Atlanta dining. When I reached out the response was "yes that's over done, it happens, but next time..." Like seriously?! If burnt pizza is being sent out why would I want to visit again?! But again Atlanta loves low quality food and because someone said it's good they will continue to dine no matter the quality of the food . read more

It had been many years since I'd last gone to Antico. A few days ago, my boyfriend said he was craving pizza, and the memories of this place filled my head. Since he and his mother had never been, I decided we should go! Saturday rolled around and we stopped in a little before 6pm. They sell it too but the fact that they allow you to bring your own alcohol is really nice. It took us a while to find parking because the lot was filled. We ended up doing street parking right off the main road in front of Gio's. We entered and ordered at the counter just as it has always been, and walked to the back to find seating. The ambiance feels very hole in the wall Italian. It's casual and no frills, where you can see the chefs making your pizza. There's also a topping bar with various things you can grab including fresh minced garlic, hot peppers, extra virgin olive oil, crushed red pepper, chili paste, grated Parmesan, etc. They were already pretty busy and packed up a lot of to go orders, so it felt like it took a while but the wait wasn't too bad. At last, our pizzas arrived on a big metal pan. We got a classic Margherita Pizza and one of my old favorites: the Sophia Pizza. I always like getting one red and one white pizza for variety. We all loved everything. The ingredients are fresh. The flavors are popping. The textures and temperature are perfect. My boyfriend and his mother agreed that this is their new favorite pizza place in town! Our only request is that they should offer bread (if not complimentary, for purchase). We would've loved to have dipped some in the oil and toppings as we waited for our pizzas to arrive. Either way, we will be back sooner rather than later! The gelato and espresso place isn't located where it used to be, but I knew that already. I've gotten to a place in my life where when my partner and I are about to travel and be in different city, I want to research spots. Currently, I'm making Beard and Michelin noted places. This one popped up with MIchelin and both of us are lover of a good pie. Thankfully, please don't shoot me, this is deliverable through the restaurant itself and 3rd party. We ended up getting two different pizzas, a Ross and a Bianche. We opted with San Gennaro, Italian Susage, Sweet Red Pepper, Cippolini Onion, Buffalo Mozzarella and Garlic. This one was great and such a honker! HUGE pieces of sausage did make it hard to eat without it fully collapsing. We also got a Capricciosa, Italian Ham, Mushroom, Artichoke, Bufala and Garlic. This was quite good! The artichoke added a tinge of funkiness that I wasn't expecting. It's worthy of note that these pizzas are fairly large as well. These were fantastic, please understand. It has been 10 years since I updated my last review (12/05/2014) and I stopped here today with my children for a NYE dinner. I ordered two of their Margherita D.O.P. Pie's which are made of Bufala Mozzarella, Basil, Garlic and are drizzled with Olive Oil. I must say damn... it was so delicious and usually my youngest will not eat the crust. After 10 years, I must say this is the absolute best Napoletana pizza I have tried in Atlanta. If you are a fan of Authentic Neapolitan pizza, which is very think crust, you will probably love it here. My girlfriend visiting from Miami was excited for pizza, so after our visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Antico just made perfect sense. As someone who's not a huge pizza fan, it's been a while since I've been to Antico, but I remember it's been an enjoyable experience every time. I've only ever visited the Midtown location but am glad you can get your own piece of Antico at multiple locations throughout the metro Atlanta area now. Although parking at this busy location in the heart of Midtown can be challenging, we lucked out at 8pm on a Thursday evening and were able to park pretty easily. Once you enter this location, expect a short line where you'll order at the register. After ordering, walk to the huge dining area in the back of the restaurant where you can watch experts making your pizza, wash your hands in an industrial sink, grab pizza toppings, and choose a shared seating bench area. My girlfriend and I decided to order two pizzas as we anticipated leftovers. We picked my two favorites: - San Gennaro: Italian sausage, Sweet Red Peppers, Bufala Mozzarella, Garlic, Cipollini Onions - Diavola: Spicy Salami, Calabrian Peppers, Bufala Mozzarella, Garlic Both pizzas were incredibly delicious! They came out hot and fresh - even if you get these to go, you've got to eat a slice or two there. The toppings are fresh and delicious and oh wow, the cheese! The prices are on the higher side (over $30 for a pie), but the quality and experience justify the cost. The dining room and kitchen are connected, so you can watch the staff prepare each pizza. They use three wood‑burning ovens that were purchased in Naples and shipped here. Your pizza is baked at 900 degrees, which is impressive to see in action. I usually order a pizza without meat, since they primarily use pork. I've seen reviews saying they don't allow alterations to the pies, even for religious dietary restrictions, but I've never had an issue. I ordered a Margherita pizza with peppers. If you enjoy peppers, these are surprisingly hot without being overwhelming. You can even eat them on their own as an appetizer while you wait. I've never had a bad experience here. The crust is thin, fresh, and not heavy or doughy like what you might get from a typical chain. The center of the pizza can be a little chewy, but I've never found that to be a problem.
