Bertolozi's Pizzeria is a must-try, especially if you love authentic Chicago flavors. My husband is from Chicago, and he really enjoyed the pizza here which says a lot. They've recently moved into the shopping center with Publix and are located at one end of the plaza. From the moment we walked up to the counter, the service was wonderful. Since it was our first visit, we took a little time deciding what to order, and the staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. The menu features classic Chicago favorites like pizza, Italian beef sandwich, and the Chicago Dog. We went with two specialty pizzas- the Joyce and the George and both were absolutely delicious. The thin crust was perfectly done, and you can truly taste the care and love that goes into each pie. The toppings were generous (always a win), and the Joyce pizza was especially beautiful. I couldn't stop admiring it. The whipped ricotta piped in little flower dollops made the presentation just as impressive as the flavor. There are a handful of tables inside and a couple outside for warmer days, making it a great casual spot to sit and enjoy your meal. My husband and I are already looking forward to coming back to try more items on the menu. This place is definitely going into our regular rotation!

    Celebrated 4 birthday here tonight!

Highly recommend! The food was fantastic. We had the Caesar salad and meatballs to share, both were great. Then we tried their three specialty pizzas: the Lina, the Joyce, and the George. We all had different favorites, But barely a slice was left behind. The owner and staff were very attentive and kind. They even let me bring in a dessert as we were celebrating multiple birthdays and sliced it up for us. Will definitely be back for the tasty food and awesome environment!

    The Joyce was fantastic!

The meatballs were delicious. The pizza was amazing. It was worth the trip! We need a location in Forsyth county. We will be back.

Exceptional tavern style pizza... Just like you'd get in Chicago. Great service. Everything was delicious and arrived fast. Can't recommend this place enough!

Really friendly service. Plenty of parking. There was an hour wait for our pizzas on a Friday night around 8 pm but we ran an errand during that time and it was fine. The crust is delightfully crisp. The pizzas have great flavor.

The Joyce pizza was great! Loved the cracker-thin Chicago crust with ricotta, honey, and pepperoni. The service definitely needs some improvement. We were encouraged to order a starter due to an estimated long wait for the pizza. We ordered the salad. Many customers after us received their salad before us (within 10 minutes of ordering). I went to remind the staff about our salad twice. The pizza arrived first, with the salad taking over an hour from ordering.

If you're looking for a solid spot for crispy, thin crust pizza, this is it!! Bertolozi's is a small spot, order at the counter-style. Not many tables, so doesn't make for a great spot for groups larger than 4. However, the service was extremely nice and attentive and the food was on point! Loved the added touch of playing Bob Ross on the TV!

The guy who gives terrible service

Quite possibly the worst service I've ever received. The guy working the counter was so rude and it took over an hour for a cheese pizza... what's the point of going to a pizza place if it's going to take literal years?? He also told us we couldn't split and then we watched him bring one out and he said he didn't hear us well. Sooooo many people waiting for hour plus. This guy was also incredibly rude when people asked about wait times - he should not work there any longer. the pizza is not that crazy.

Delicious!!! We had the Joyce and the George and liked them both! We also tried a Chicago Dog and it was great! Tastes legit like the ones you get in Chicago. Highly recommend, friendly staff, cozy dine in area, too.

We went in around 5 PM Sunday night. We were the only ones in line. We ordered two pizzas and a Caesar salad. The pizza took over an hour to come out because they were so far behind. The pizza was really good, but I feel like the middle under carriage was undercooked and not crispy like the crust. Danny was really nice and personable since they were so slow. Cool merch. Good pizza. But too slow. Still worth it :).

We got margarita, pizza, and one with pepperoni and it was really delicious. The cheese pulled on some of the pizzas, but I had to heat mine up for her to get that full melted caramelized look. I like mine a little more crunchy so I just put it in the oven for a little bit longer. The flavor was still pure and fresh and really tasty. I would suggest asking or adding on extra basil. They do sprinkle it on or the cheese covers it.

Disappointing Food Quality and Poor Customer Experience…read more Unfortunately, my visit left a lot to be desired. The pizza arrived with a noticeably burnt crust -- not the charred, Neapolitan-style char that some places intentionally aim for, but genuinely overcooked to the point where it affected the overall flavor and texture of the dish. What made the experience worse was the interaction with the owner. Rather than being met with hospitality, the exchange felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For a dining establishment, the attitude of those running it matters just as much as the food itself.

The restaurant is quite small so if you're dining with a large party to go, might be your best bet. However, they did not stop us me and my best friend and my toddler ordered a few things off the menu and a couple of cocktails (obviously not the toddler). The peach Bellini and espresso martini were made really well. The espresso martini had a perfect foam that was just the right thickness and they do not use an insane amount of Baileys, which was a plus for me. We got the margarita pizza add spicy, Italian sausage and the hot honey char pizza as well as the meatballs. Everything had wonderful flavoring, everything was cooked to perfection in the food came out at the perfect temperature. Everything was priced appropriately. The crust was folded over into points where the ricotta was, which might have also helped the pizza be very stable and not too floppy. I'd say this pizza was close to a NY-style pizza.

Maybe next time, and maybe a whole pie instead, as I'm not typically a fan of pizza that stays out on the counter for a bit. That's just me, I bet this is usual, so no points off to them for this. I decided to grab The Marino from their menu. I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were super flavorful, a lot better than most places. The bread they used seemed to have been more on the Ciabatta side. The texture of the bread was soft and not hard to bite into. The sauce was not doused on this, which was great for me, so I didn't get any in my beard. It said panini, but I didn't sense the bread was pressed at all. Maybe there is something different about this in Italy that I'm not aware of? The sandwich was great overall, I wish it was larger or had an option to be larger. At $9.99, I really can't complain. Coulda just gotten two. Maybe next time! :D The shop is really cool and carries a lot of Italian/EU imports. I was able to find a jar of Nutella that is imported, which if you know, imported Nutella taste different than US Nutella and comes in a glass jar instead of plastic and taste creamier. They also had lots of pastas, sauces and candies. Some Easter stuff leftover as well at the time of this post. EU easter candy is better than American easter candy. :D When you walk in, the line sort of leads to the back and you make your way up to the front. In the glass, there are various burrata's available for around $8 each. Good for making your own pizza or perhaps an Italian dish. I didn't pay attention to what milk was used, but this is Georgia, so you make do. The drinks are all canned or bottled. They had some imported sparkling waters. You can tell by the fact that the caps don't twist off and are attached to the bottle intentionally because the EU requires this to avoid pollution by people leaving bottle caps all over the place. The young lady at the counter super knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. She was very sweet and good to talk to. I came after a lunch rush, so she asked me to pick a seat and let her know so she can clean it up. Very much appreciated that. Place is a little small and not a lot of seats. If you happen to come during lunch hour, be prepared to get the order to go and sit outside or across in the park center of the square. It's very well maintained from the looks of it and would be a great picnic area. Overall, I enjoyed this location very much. I would definitely come again to try some of their other offerings.
