We were so excited to find my favorite Chicago tavern-style pizza in Buckhead this weekend. From the moment we walked into this beautiful little pizza corner, owner Danny Huber and the staff at Bertolozi's Pizza welcomed us with a table full of delicious bites. Perfectly quaint little restaurant with a few tables inside and a great patio as well. Do yourself a favor and start with an order (or two) of their meatballs. Braised in the most flavorful sauce, they are absolutely worth it. We ordered the Joyce pizza because you had me at cupped pepperoni, hot honey, and whipped ricotta... yes please! Every bite was perfection. We also tried the Italian sub, and the housemade vinaigrette and aioli took it from good to unforgettable. Safe to say this spot will definitely be added to the rotation anytime we visit family in Atlanta. read more

Bertolozi's Pizzeria is a must-try, especially if you love authentic Chicago flavors. My husband is from Chicago, and he really enjoyed the pizza here which says a lot. They've recently moved into the shopping center with Publix and are located at one end of the plaza. From the moment we walked up to the counter, the service was wonderful. Since it was our first visit, we took a little time deciding what to order, and the staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. The menu features classic Chicago favorites like pizza, Italian beef sandwich, and the Chicago Dog. We went with two specialty pizzas- the Joyce and the George and both were absolutely delicious. The thin crust was perfectly done, and you can truly taste the care and love that goes into each pie. The toppings were generous (always a win), and the Joyce pizza was especially beautiful. I couldn't stop admiring it. The whipped ricotta piped in little flower dollops made the presentation just as impressive as the flavor. There are a handful of tables inside and a couple outside for warmer days, making it a great casual spot to sit and enjoy your meal. Highly recommend! The food was fantastic. We had the Caesar salad and meatballs to share, both were great. Then we tried their three specialty pizzas: the Lina, the Joyce, and the George. We all had different favorites, But barely a slice was left behind. The owner and staff were very attentive and kind. The Joyce pizza was great! Loved the cracker-thin Chicago crust with ricotta, honey, and pepperoni. The service definitely needs some improvement. The guy working the counter was so rude and it took over an hour for a cheese pizza... what's the point of going to a pizza place if it's going to take literal years?? We went in around 5 PM Sunday night. We were the only ones in line. We ordered two pizzas and a Caesar salad. The pizza took over an hour to come out because they were so far behind. The pizza was really good, but I feel like the middle under carriage was undercooked and not crispy like the crust. Danny was really nice and personable since they were so slow. Cool merch. Bertolozi's Pizzeria is a lovely little pizza establishment in the greater food hall known as the Roswell Junction, located at 340 S Atlanta St, Roswell, GA. The entire hall is a lovely surprise. Upon walking into this spacious building, you are greeted by a large, cheery space offering several dining options. One of them is Bertolozi's Pizzeria. I will say that, since moving down to Georgia a few years ago from the Northeast (Boston/New York), I haven't been impressed with the pizza. Yeah, small gripe, I know. But sometimes it gets to me when I'm in the mood for something good in that area of cuisine. In my travels across the United States, this one food changes so much in quality and character. This might be a regional sort of snobbery I hold, but little compares to the pizza of, say, the original Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, opened in 1925 in New Haven, Connecticut. Other places like Town Spa (Stoughton, MA), Poopsie's (Marshfield, MA), and Scarr's Pizza (New York) offer excellent examples, too. There are others, but that's off the top of my head. So when I tried Bertolozi's Pizzeria in the early afternoon for lunch, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza is very tasty and thin--just like a New York-style pizza. They sport a "cracker crust" style to these pies that makes them delicious and texturally satisfying. The sauce is excellent, as are the other ingredients. Art is being created here, not just lunch or dinner! The guys are great, too. And I'm happy to say that I finally found a pizza worth going for here in the South. :-) read more

Being from Chicago, I can tell you this. Yes the pizza is great, but I've never had a better Italian beef sandwich ever . And I've had many Italian beef sandwiches all over the country. Okay... I'm officially obsessed. This is hands-down the best cracker-thin crust pizza I've ever had. Every bite was perfection. I tried The Joyce (named after the owner's mom -- so sweet ), and wow. High-quality pepperoni, creamy ricotta, fresh basil, oregano, hot honey and the dreamiest red sauce. It was the perfect bite every time. I truly couldn't stop eating it. But the Lina... the white pizza... was so damn good I almost didn't want to share. Ricotta, spinach, those sweet little pappadew peppers -- it hit all the right notes. As someone originally from Chicago, I've been desperately searching for legit cracker-thin, square-cut tavern-style pizza down South -- and this place nails it.
