A group of 6 ate dinner here. 4/6 of us agreed that the food was bland and unremarkable. Most of us had pasta and I had lasagna that was served cold - it also tasted like nothing was salted at all. Normally I wouldn't complain but for the ~$30 lasagna this was a ripoff. If you do eat here stick to the bread and the pizza, those were delicious. Just got home from Bocado Sandy Springs. My 2nd time there. By far the worst experience I have ever had. Waitress was great. We had a 6pm reservation for 3 and arrived on time to celebrate a birthday. Seated within 10 min. Ordered cocktails and wine for the table. Appetizers arrived on time. Dinner was delayed. Kitchen was stressed and owner was definitely not welcoming. Food was 3/5. One entree was forgotten...no complaints. Owner basically asked our party of 3 at 7:30pm to leave as he had "people waiting". Spending $300 for dinner and the owner still being rude to us? No thanks. Disappointing because really wanted this place to make it. Won't be back! read more

Even though it is in a grocery anchored neighborhood shopping center, it has a nice outdoor patio with a small interior and some bar seating. Relaxing vibe. The food is amazing. Beginning with the short rib agnolotti followed by a margarita pizza with amazing sourdough crust. The steak was very good but the potato it was served on was the real hit. The fresh baked chocolate chip cookies were a nice end and not too heavy nor dense. This restaurant will be in a regular rotation. Well done. read more

Had the pleasure of dining at Bocados Italian Restaurant in Atlanta, and what an amazing experience! This is what fine dining is all about--every plate that came out was a masterpiece. The indoor dining is quaint, but we opted to sit outside at 7:00 PM, with a perfect 70-degree evening sun setting. The food? Absolutely fantastic. The lasagna was incredible, the salad fresh and flavorful, and the pizza--simply outstanding. And to top it all off, the service was impeccable. read more

First off, hear about this spot from my neighbor as I've driven by for years and never seen it. Local ambiance with a very authentic Italian menu and the sourdough bread on the appetizer & pizzas is absolutely stellar! Solid service, and the team all lives nearby and many of the servers are families who live nearby. It really made me feel at home. We had the bean salad which was delicious and beautiful. We also had a cheese appetizer which was unreal. We had the beef carpaccio, mozzarella pizza and I loved the crust. Ans top it off for the dessert we had the crème brûlée with berries along with the sourdough cookies. Plenty of parking, small spot with plenty of space for walkins. We didn't make a reservation. Note they are open Tuesday to Sat, and only for dinner. I highly recommend and will be back soon. read more

Been wanting to try this new restaurant as it is close to a friend's house. Popped in early Saturday evening and had to wait for about 15 minutes. The place does not take reservations, but they do have a lovely area outside. Had a great fire going and they bought us a glass of wine while we were out there. It is a small place, but it is full of personality and great staff. The owner Brian was very engaging and just seemed like a great guy. Our waiter was top-notch. Had the salmon appetizer and the margarita pizza. The salmon was possibly some of the best salmon I've had in just years and I am an absolute snob on salmon. Very oily and rich, the taste of the salmon stood out without any additional herbs or spices. Served with a great little sauce on the side and a very tasty bread. The pizza was very good. My friend thought the crust was a little too charred on top, but it was just the way I liked it. The mozzarella cheese was very fresh and tasty. Great experience sitting at the bar. Very friendly staff. Joe was the most attentive bartender! The food was delish. The pizza dough was outstanding. And don't skip the cookies! I'm unfamiliar with the previous version of this restaurant but apparently the burger isn't on the current menu. I heard a few people ask about it so wanted to mention it. Tons of free parking. A delicious delight! We had a really fun night at this new hot spot with friends and loved everything we ate. Particular favorites included: - Red snapper perfectly prepared on a bed of elevated grits - ALL the bread including the pizzas. You can really taste the sourdough difference and smoky wood-fired flavor. - The marinated mushrooms on the pizza were so good, I would order extras on the side - The remoulade for the artichoke appetizer was really tasty - The tiramisu was fantastic - Excellent wine menu - we had a bottle of the Pinot Noir If you're looking for a Midtown vibe near the perimeter with a great buzz, beautiful decor, great food and great service, check it out now before you can't get a table. read more

Our waitress was so nice and great, however, the food was mid (felt like it needed something more) and the owner was rude. I want to love it, but I can't. Yes, the pizza crust is good, but the ratio of that to the toppings is way off. If you're going to charge over $20 for an individual pizza, you'll have to balance that better. All three of us had the same reaction. Wine by the glass is somewhat limited and overpriced. That said, the outdoor seating is nice. They even provide throws for chilly evenings, which is a nice touch. The servers were pleasant and efficient. And the pie IS tasty, albeit expensive. I guess you'll have to decide if it's worth it. I'm still on the fence. read more

Awesome neighborhood dining experience, the air-line chicken with grits are divine. All of the staff are extremely friendly and attentive! The small atmosphere makes everything feel very homey, and the patio is perfect for large groups. Everyone expects Bocado to be a pizza place but I personally like the entrees more! I have been here at least 20 times now and it always puts a smile on my face! 10/10!!! read more

Food was wonderful! Best part is they ferment their pizza and bread dough so long, even though it has gluten I can enjoy it (I am gluten intolerant, I do not have celiac). They don't take reservations, but we're worth the 15 min wait for a table. They also offer carry out or you can order and ship their pizzas anywhere in the US! We will be back! read more
