Definitely keeping this spot on my 'to visit list' when I come to Atlanta. I had great experience all around. The hostess was very friendly when we checked in. We hand a little wait while our was being prepared. So me and a friend grabbed a Spicy Mexico City at the bar. It was pretty good. The brunch menu has expensive with plenty of options. There something for everything on there. For our starters we had the Okonomiyaki fries, Peruvian chicken gyoza tacos and the watermelon salad. The Okonomiyaki fries were amazing. The reminded of like a bbq fry. Absolutely loved the flavor. The salad and tacos were also great. For our mains we had the spicy miso herb Caesar salad with poke tuna and the spicy tuna "toast". We all loved it. Both dishes were perfectly portioned and full of flavor. I forgot to take photos, but the decor in the restaurant is super cute. Service is amazing. The manager and hostess Maya was kind from the beginning. My husband and I originally arrived 20 minutes late for our dinner appointment which happened to be 40 minutes before they close but she had such a very good attitude from the beginning! Our server was Robin. He was pleasant and had really good service. He told us to relax and not worry about the restaurant closing. That made us feel better. Maya and Robin told us to come back for brunch so we did. The food during during was amazing. We got the ahi tuna tacos and the edamame and shared the burger and the salad. Everything was colorful and full of flavor. There isn't one item that left us disappointed. For brunch we came back and had the tuna tacos again. My husband loved them so much he ordered them two more times. We also had the bao Benedict and the tuna toast, which came recommended by Maya. All amazing. Also try the fruit salad and the nachos! We were in town for the World Cup and booked a reservation at Whiskey Bird for Thursday night at 6:30. We took an uber but there was a parking lot across the street and plenty of street parking. What a fun place! We had the following dishes: Ahi tuna gyoza tacos - my favorite dish of the night Crispy brussels Thai steak & noodle salad Bourbon roasted salmon Everything was delicious! We shared all the dishes. My daughter had the buttered noodles off the kids menu. Plenty of options on the kids menu! Service was friendly and our server helped us choose options. There are great cocktail options. We had an aviation and midnight margarita. The vibe and ambiance are perfect for a fun GNO or date night. Whiskey bird was a really cute spot. We had no issue parking on the street and went for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was busy and we had a reservation but it wasn't obvious that we needed it. The server was knowledgeable, friendly and didn't make us feel rushed. The drinks were excellent. We all got breakfast burritos and they were able to accommodate my friend's request to change his. The burritos were large and filling. I also enjoyed the side of potatoes I ordered. They were flavorful and crispy. I had been hearing about this place for so long and was so excited to try it. The ambiance inside is very cute - honestly would be a great date spot as it's not too loud and the tables are spread nicely. The food itself was superb. We started with yakitori skewers - I'm vegetarian so I had the sweet potato, tofu, and mushroom. Oh my god the mushroom ones are something I dream about! So delicious. I absolutely loved the other two as well, but the mushroom was really the standout here (which is saying a lot coming from me because I rarely prefer mushrooms). For my main I had the coconut lime tofu. This was tasty and well made. I do wish this tofu had a little more marinade/seasoning to it as it was just a fried tofu atop the curry, but the tofu was really well made, and the curry itself was flavorful and surprisingly light. Out of towner, so take my review as is. Seating in a Thursday at 5:45 was no effort. I made a reservation for 5 which was not needed. The staff are awesome. Service was excellent but the place stayed about 50% full the time we were there. I like the ambiance. It's open, modern, seats can be a bit tight. I opened for a happy hour bourbon based drink which was a tall, iced and light on the bourbon (4/5). I then ordered the bourbon salmon on rice for the main course. It was decent (4/5). The dish was swimming in a sweet teriyaki. It seems kinda strange to scoop up rice and salmon, then drain out extra sauce. Dinner mates had the burger and I was a bit envious. Amazing. Had our first dining experience on a Sunday Brunch and it was fantastic. There were seven of us in our party and it was a hit with all. Most ordered something different. We had the Avocado Toast and the Hong Kong Fried Chicken and Waffle. A couple of our friends hand the Bao Benedict. The Bubble Waffle was a first for us. It was beautiful and the best waffle we ever tasted. The fried chicken was very good also (wish it didn't have a garlic taste). Although we would get it again. The Avocado Toast was the best looking dish on the table. The grilled toast was topped with smashed avocados and then topped with radishes and an everything bagel seasoning. Tasty. 10% military discount! I came here after my Pilates workout. I was gonna work from here but there is no Wi-Fi. It definitely would be better with Wi-Fi because I love the space, I could work form here. The chicken tacos were just the right amount for lunch. I also grabbed the tuna toast, it was good it just needed a little bit more razzle-dazzle for me. The gimlet drink made with vodka or gin was refreshing! There happy hour is nice. Everything was super yummy, drinks included. This was a good stop for the happy hour but it wasn't as lively as I've heard it to be. Decided to catch happy hour with friends after work and I'm so glad my friend selected this place! The quality of service was good and the quality of food and drink drinks were even better! This is the perfect spot for anything: a date night, girls night, or happy hour with some friends or coworkers after work. Though it gives more of a mature vibe, I did see families there, and I do believe that there are items on the menu in which kids will also enjoy. The happy hour does end at 6 PM so be sure you catch it before then, honestly the prices are well worth it! I believe they have a great selection of good quality food and drinks on the menu. I would even go back to this place outside of happy hour because I definitely want to try more items on the menu. As far as parking, there is a lot across the street that provides free parking. Came here when we stayed downtown for a night. The inside was way more casual than I expected. We kind of came towards the end of the night, but we still had enough time to order from the kitchen. The mixed drinks I had were so so. I wasn't overly impressed with them, but let me tell you how much I loved their yakitori skewers. They were AMAZING AMAZING.! Full of flavor and cooked just right. We tried chicken meatballs, sweet potato, chicken, tofu... They were all good. I wish more places had this type of menu option. They are so healthy, and it's nice to be able to try a bunch of variety without feeling crazy stuffed. Overall, I really like their menu, they have a nice variety with some interesting dishes like Japanese street fries. Tuna goyza tacos, spiced cauliflower, sweet potato burger. I got there tuna Poké bowl, which was decent, but definitely did not match up to the skewers. Service was OK, maybe because we were there towards the end of the night and they are trying to get ready to close up shop. I heard they have a really great branch and I'd love to try it sometime. I was extremely disappointed with our experience here last Saturday. My family came to celebrate my cousin's birthday, and we were expecting to be seated inside. The day before, my aunt even called the restaurant specifically to make sure we would have an indoor table. She was supposed to hear back from the manager, Nick, but he never returned her call. When we arrived, we ended up being seated outside anyway. While we were outside, we were not even allowed to crack the door open because we were told it would let flies inside, even though there were already flies inside the restaurant. The restaurant also had a back patio that could have been another option for our party, but that was never offered to us. We spoke with the manager, Nick, about the situation, but he did nothing to help us or offer a reasonable solution. This was especially frustrating considering my aunt had already tried to address the seating situation the day before and never received a call back. To make matters worse, I found a hair in my food. At that point, the entire experience was extremely disappointing. This was supposed to be a special birthday celebration for my cousin, but instead we had to deal with seating issues, poor communication from management, a lack of accommodations, and a cleanliness issue with the food. Problems can happen at any restaurant, but the way management responds makes a huge difference. Unfortunately, we did not feel like our concerns were taken seriously or that any real effort was made to fix the situation. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

I first went to this place after hearing about this through my social media. The ambiance inside is very modern and sleek. It was not too crowded and not too loud either. I first came here during happy hour and got to try a selection of different foods. I loved the Asian fusion concept and it was fun to see their spin on foods. I got the queso + wonton chips, peruvian chicken gyoza tacos, crispy rice, a drink (I forgot which one), and the Korean BBQ tofu. It is moderately priced. Service was good and food didn't take too long to come out. I came back recently for a friend's birthday and had such an excellent server! We got the okonomiyaki fries to share and I got the thai steak and noodle salad. We sat outside which was great since one of my friends could bring her dog. They also allowed us to bring a cake. I got the Bloody Mary it was perfect and my husband had the bloody Maria which was Jalapeño tequila and he said it was fantastic. Things to order are the burritos- HUGE! Wow. We have arrived, and for the first time in a long time, I'm giving a restaurant five stars. Fresh off the back, when walking up to the restaurant I realize that I've been here before. I came here for one beverage a year ago and never returned and have never tried the menu. My friend and I came here for a quick dinner and were so pleased with everything. First of all, service was amazing. From the hostess, who found room for us on the back patio, to our server, who bought a very warm and inviting vibe, we enjoyed ourselves. We both got salads, my chopped salad was delicious. But before I had that, I got the Fried chicken bow buns. Wow. It literally felt like a mini chicken sandwich, but with an even better bun. It was flavorful, needed a bit of salt, but overall was so enjoyable to eat. The order comes with two, but I intentionally saved the second one for when I got home because I wanted to have it again! My salad was a chopped salad that came with a vinaigrette and hanger steak on the side. The salad itself is massive. That's something that I would share with another person, but it was so nice to be sitting in front of a dish and feel like I was getting a value for the amount that I paid. And mind you, the salad is $25 so this is a Good portion for what you're getting. 10 and 10 would recommend. Celebrating a milestone with my family, I recalled wanting to check this place out after a few visits to Alon's bakery just across the street. Just to be sure, I made reservations earlier in the day on a Thursday night. Arriving on time, I was glad we did because most tables were full by that point. For drinks, I got to try their Spicy Mexico & aviation. Both were well prepared and presented. For entrees, the variety of dishes included Crispy grouper sandwich, Yakitori choose four w/ side of white rice, Tofu bowl, poke bowl, Little bird caesar salad w/ salmon, Kids popcorn chicken and French fries (pictures included). The poke bowl had lots of fresh complimentary ingredients including pickles! It was my first time having that as part of poke but I enjoyed all the other ingredients. The tofu bowl was also flavorful with sweet and soft pieces of mango. We found the caesar salad to be surprisingly spicy but heavily dressed with crunchy crushed tortilla chips on top. Dessert included the classic Vanilla ice cream with a simple strawberry syrup. Overall, I had a great experience with an attentive waitress, quality food, and an aesthetic environment. I've had whiskey bird bookmarked for god knows how long. Loved the menu and the cocktails and the vibe. Clearly, however, when I bookmarked it, I was not gluten intolerant because gluten free is not a big factor here (rest assured though, you can certainly eat well here without the bloating). We started with the brussel sprouts minus the bacon. Gotta tell you - an over easy egg is a weird thing in brussel sprouts, but we ate around it and it was otherwise fantastic. I then moved in to the sushi rice risotto. You should be aware that their website menu says it's blackened grouper but their current menu is actually salmon. The salmon and asparagus were excellent-I love getting something blackened which actually tastes blackened (you'd be surprised how often it's bland). My complaint about this dish was the sushi rice risotto-it just doesn't work. It's got a strange texture and not a great flavor. I ate it all because it's food but I wouldn't get it again. Just didn't care for the risotto made with that kind of rice (and I love sushi so it's not just that i don't like the rice). Finally, I got the WB Manhattan for a drink. Not my favorite manhattan but still pretty good. So the sprouts (minus the egg) was great, the salmon and asparagus were a home run, and the drink was pretty good. The risotto wasn't great and the egg in the sprouts wasn't a good combo but again, we could easily eat around it. Full marks for being dog friendly and providing a pup cup and treats. Our boy loved it, and everyone who came to the table gave him a ton of attention-not great for everyone else's service and I hope they washed their hands after, but our pup loved it. So this is a pretty good happy hour situation, even though the regular time is fine too lol. Last time I went I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately. I was able to look at both menus and I then my bartender explained the specials in great detail (which I appreciated). As far as parking goes, they have street parking. There is a lot next door but that is reserved so be careful if you want to risk and park there. You can park across the street but that one is also a shopping center so it's not dedicated. There is plenty of space on the inside. They have a nice set up in the center is the restaurant (with a tree) that you can post up at. If it's a nice day they have patio seating as well. They basically have seating in the front and in the back, so anywhere inside or outside is an option. They have a TV for you around the bar but I would not count this as a sport bar. KFC chicken slider - the slider is a bbq chicken slider. Small but is very crunchy and good flavor because the sauce is really good. Maybe not worth 8 per slider but it was tasty. Burger slider - burger was okay, to me it (again) wasn't worth 8 dollars but it was pretty good. Similar to a big Mac kind of burger. Brussel sprouts - these joints were fire! I would definitely recommend. They come with an egg, sauced up, bacon, and perfectly seasoned. These were the star of the show. Tempura shrimp tacos - They were good. I didnt like that they had tails on them when served, but they had a good taste. They were savory and spicy all at the same time. They came as a set of 2, and had toppings falling out! read more

I will say it won't reheat well. There is limited parking at the restaurant but lots of street parking around. One weird thing is that our waitress rushed us during our meal. I clearly was still eating (I had half a burrito on my plate and a fork in my hand) and she came over, looked me in the eye and asked us if we were ready to pay. I said "no I'm still eating" and she looked at me in a disgusted/ aloof way. We came on a Friday afternoon so it wasn't like there was a line of people waiting.
