Melinda was the sweetest and so knowledgeable about the menu. She has excellent recommendations. Incredible food and service! I so regret modifying my lamb shank order to ask for potatoes instead of rice. It's swimming in the most delightfully flavorful sauce and I sure wish I had some rice. The fingerling potatoes are excellent as well. The cocktail recommended by the waitress is on point. I can't wait to come back next month and stay here. This might be my only place to eat! I was very skeptical about these reviews since this is the restaurant in my hotel. I usually stay away from restaurants in hotels. It's a beautiful space and has been packed both nights of my stay - Monday and Tuesday. I had to check it out. I bet this is packed on the weekends and would recommend a reservation during those times. There's a large bar area.

A beautiful relatively small restaurant inside of the Burgess hotel. Service was great, and all the food we ordered was delicious. We had the butternut squash soup, potato gnocchi, bread app, split the special of the wagyu Wellington and brussel sprouts. They accommodated my kids. My mom just said the sausage pasta wa just ok. Had a high chair and my 3 and 4 year old were able to get butter noddles and chicken tenders with fries. Even on a Friday it was easy to grab a last minute reservation.

Chef's Special Was a Hit Stopped in for dinner and tried the chef's special -- a creamy pasta dish with tender meat and perfectly cooked tagliatelle. It was rich, flavorful, and just the right portion to satisfy without overdoing it. The sauce clung to every ribbon of pasta like it knew what it was doing. The atmosphere had that "old luxury" vibe -- dim lighting, classic decor, and just enough quiet to hold a proper conversation. It felt intentional, like a throwback to when dining out was an experience, not a rush. I appreciated the slower pace and the focus on quality. Would absolutely return -- and next time, I'll be asking what the chef's got cooking before I look at the menu.

The moment you walk into this restaurant you're taken away by the decor! It's located inside the Burgess Hotel on Piedmont in Buckhead. There is valet parking. They have an open kitchen so you can see the chef and staff working away! The staff was nice and very attentive. The food was absolutely amazing in fact I'm craving the gnocchi as I type. It was so flavorful and worth the price! I also had the branzino, prepared to perfection! The mocktails were really good as well! My friends also enjoyed the spaghetti, octopus, & scallops. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fine dining experience with amazing food!

This is a gorgeous restaurant located inside of a really nice boutique hotel. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to snag seats at the bar before it got busy. For drinks we tried the butter pecan old fashioned which was really balanced but strong in a good way. For dinner we tried the shrimp appetizer, duck Special and the burger. Everything was delicious. The burger tasted like it was cooked on an open flame. I would deductible go back for cocktails or for dinner.

Great service. Easy location with free parking. I felt this was an expensive restaurant with gratuity at 20% automatically added for just two people. With 2 meals, a salad, 1 appetizer and one cocktail the bill was $180. The meal was not a $180 meal but decent enough quality and experience. Like the kitchen concept and fire grill but do not need to return.

Some of the best restaurants are in hotels. Anytime I am in town I have to go to Fia. The wood grilled fish is so fresh and light. Not pictured is the grilled octopus which also was great. Definitely a great dinner spot.

Outside. Storefront. Main entrance and driveway. Fia Restaurant is located inside the Burgess Hotel. Free self-parking around the building.

I give Fia Restaurant 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. This restaurant lived up to the hype, for the most part. For a nice night out in Buckhead, this place fits the bill. The cuisine is New American and Mediterranean. Fia is pronounced "fee-uh." It's Italian for flickering flame or little fire. The restaurant opened in December 2019 inside the Burgess Hotel, a boutique hotel. The hotel's co-owner and executive chef is named Burges Jokhi. Burgess and Burges. Coincidence? Burges owns the place with his partner, Freny Jokhi. The hotel bar, Mr B Bar, was named after Freny's dad, Keki Bunshah. The Burgess used to be a Wingate by Wyndham. Initially, the Burgess was part of Wyndham's Trademark Collection. Now, it's in Marriott's Tribute Portfolio. Hotel restaurants are notoriously hit or miss. I'm happy to report Fia is one of the best hotel restaurants I've dined at in metro Atlanta and one of the better ones anywhere. Fia was named a Yelp Top 100 US Restaurant in 2022 (#32). Reservations are recommended. It was packed during our Saturday night visit. Those without a reservation either had to sit "outside" at the bar or wait until one of the last seatings of the night. That night, I noticed a walk-in party return to be seated around 9pm. Book your reservation using OpenTable and earn dining points which can be used to redeem restaurant discounts, Amazon gift cards, hotel stays, and more. Free self-parking is available on the sides and back of the hotel. For a hotel of this "caliber," the parking did strike us as a bit sketch at night. And getting from the parking lot to the front of the hotel involved walking onto the driveway and into traffic. Not the safest. The restaurant and hotel are gorgeous. It's a distinct, eclectic mix of both traditional and modern design, decorated with art from different cultures. It sounds gaudy, but they managed to pull it off. The international flair reminds me of The Consulate restaurant in Midtown. Fia's dining room is cozy and offers a variety of tables and seating -- white tablecloth, wood and stone surfaces, booths, banquettes, and armchairs. There's also an outdoor patio. During our dinner visit, the drink menu featured over a dozen cocktails from Mr B Bar plus wine and bottled and canned beer. The food menu had many salads and apps (e.g., Warm Goat Cheese & Tomato Tartlet, Grilled Giant Prawn), a handful of entrees (e.g., Braised Lamb Shank), several woodfired items (e.g., A5 Wagyu Ribeye, Bell & Evans Moroccan Chicken), and large sides. Here's what three of us had: Specialty Cocktails * Coconut Pecan Old Fashioned ($17) - coconut-washed bourbon, spiced pecan demerara, bitters * "Dirty" Martini ($18) - vodka, Italian vermouth, olives * Base Camp ($17) - vodka, rose nectar, grapefruit Wines by the Glass * Red / Cabernet ($17) - Katherine, Alexander Valley, CA 2021 Salads & Appetizers * Beets & Burrata ($18) - sherry balsamic vinaigrette, basil oil, pickled onion, toasted pistachios * Pan-Seared Potato Gnocchi ($19) - beurre monte, white truffle, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese * Pork Belly ($17) - Jack and Coke glaze, heirloom grits * Charred Octopus ($19) - roasted pepper, artichoke, olives, capers, lemon, olive oil * Grilled Ciabatta ($7) - tomato-rubbed, chimichurri Entree * Pan-Seared New England Scallops ($37) - saffron risotto, artichoke, oven-roasted tomato, basil From the Fia Woodfired Grill * 8 oz Center-Cut Filet ($49) - cognac peppercorn sauce * Whole Branzino ($42) - fennel-citrus salad Shareable Side * Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($13) - pear gastrique Dessert * Bananas Foster ($15) - vanilla gelato Everything was excellent, both in taste and presentation. The plating was beautiful. Each dish was a work of art. The attention to detail was evident. The tableware was unique and artistic, some with colorful floral patterns. My favorites dishes were the Pan-Seared Potato Gnocchi, Pork Belly, and Pan-Seared New England Scallops. Between the mushrooms and cheese, the gnocchi dish was packed with umami. Buttery too, but not excessive. And the gnocchi had perfect texture. The quality of the pork belly was terrific. The meat and grits were delicious. The scallops were fresh and plump -- among the best I've had in recent memory. Together with the risotto and veggies, the dish was really tasty. If you like burrata and octopus, I recommend both the Beets & Burrata and Charred Octopus appetizers. They didn't disappoint. The beets were well seasoned. The octopus was tender and flavorful. The Grilled Ciabatta turned out to be a great recommendation from our server. It worked better as a side than an app. The Whole Branzino was well executed and fileted to have barely any bones, which I appreciated -- another wonderful dish. The Bananas Foster wasn't finished tableside, but was still fantastic. The drinks were superb as well. I enjoyed the "Dirty" Martini in particular and I usually don't like martinis. Our server Zoe S was amazing. She was very friendly and attentive.

Fia is amazing. Starting with the ambience: from the wood burning stoves in the background to the unique decor that was relaxing and set the tone. Only downside was since it was fairly dark, photos were difficult to capture the food in its best light. Now onto the food, the menu had so many unique appetizers and entrees, that it was hard to choose. So, we didn't. Instead we ordered a number of starters and sides to share. And each picked a different entree so we could try each others too. The best ones: the hummus takes top spot (very unique as it was warm and had "stuff" in it - not exactly sure of the details but it was incredible). Next up - The octopus was very tasty. Those who had the beets and burrata loved it and the tomato tart with warm goat cheese was delicious as well. For short ribs, pork chop and the duck with blackberry sauce and pieces of pear and more (that was my favorite) all got rave reviews. Additionally the service was very good and the meal very well paced. I'd highly recommend Fia and would come back when visiting Atlanta.

I doubt there's an age limit. The food is for grown ups, ie I don't there's a kids menu.

Absolutely Incredible - Best Meal I've Had While Traveling!…read more I travel all over the country for work, and I can honestly say Delbar delivered one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment I sat down, my bartender Taz took exceptional care of me. I wasn't familiar with the menu, so I trusted her recommendations, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Every single dish she chose was outstanding. I started with the fresh pita and hummus topped with the mushroom, shishito pepper, and egg addition. The pita was warm, fresh, and unlike anything I've had before. The hummus was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The chicken wings were phenomenal, perfectly grilled with incredible flavor and just the right amount of char. The highlight of the night was the lamb neck with the Polo Sefid. The lamb was unbelievably tender and flavorful, and paired with the saffron rice, it was one of the most memorable dishes I've ever eaten. What truly elevated the experience was Taz's service. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the food. Her recommendations made the entire meal unforgettable. If I hadn't trusted her guidance, I would've missed out on an amazing culinary experience. Beyond the incredible food, Delbar has an atmosphere that is truly special. The entire restaurant feels warm, welcoming, and almost familial as if you're being welcomed into someone's home rather than simply dining out. The lighting is absolutely gorgeous, creating the perfect ambiance without feeling overly formal. The decor is tasteful and elegant, the bar area is stunning, and the dining room strikes a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. Even the approach to the restaurant and the outdoor space are beautifully designed. Every detail feels intentional and contributes to an experience that is as memorable as the food itself. Delbar has officially become a must-visit anytime I'm in Atlanta. I'll absolutely be returning, and next time I'll be bringing family all the way from Reno, Nevada so they can experience it too. Thank you Taz! Thank you, Delbar, for an unforgettable evening!

There was indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful night. We had amazing service, great food, in a really cute neighborhood. We were especially impressed with the staff, and we had a member come out more than once to check with one of the people dining with us who had food allergies to ensure that how they were offering the food would be safe for her. It was also impressive that this restaurant was so busy on a Monday night. There were three of us dining, and we didn't even order any of the meats, and there was plenty of food for us. From the Mazzes, we had the Omani Shrimp, which had a great dipping sauce and the Beet Carpaccio. (they were very accommodating and put the whipped feta on the side). For the Spreads, we did the hummus with mushroom, shisito and egg, which was amazing and the labneh with pickled fennel on the top. It's served with taftoun bread which I would describe as a mix of a cracker and pita with sesame on top. We also enjoyed a raw vegetable dish with radish and the most delicious apple slices. Their heirloom tomato salad was beautifully presented and plentiful. They had a flight of condiments and we were able to sample zhoug, spicy tahina and torshi, which was a mixture of pickled vegetables. We ended with a pistachio lava cake with the most delicious cardamon gelato. Overall, we had an amazing meal in their beautiful outdoor space, and we thought the food was really reasonably priced. There's something for everyone on this menu whether you're vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater.

The service has always been really great, and the owner is genuinely nice and always ready for a pleasant conversation. But sometimes the food comes out... average at best? I really only come here when I have the taste for mediterranean fare but don't feel like cooking it since it's so nearby. There are some things they do well. I like their baba ganoush, hummus, and beet salad. But other things are a bit lackluster and the meats can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's dry, other times it's succulent. The pita is toasted, but you can surely tell it isn't made fresh. My husband is obsessed with wings and even he said the wings served here are a BIG no. Also cannot recommend the fries, as they've been notoriously dry and cold. Perhaps we should not have expected good wings given that it's primarily mediterranean fare lol. The parking situation is also abysmal. They share a really small lot and the individual spots are poorly marked. This place is off of Briarcliff and the traffic is notorious for being bad, so that makes coming and going that much harder in a lot that's already a little treacherous. When the parking lot is full, it is like playing 2-ton Tetris. I'll also note that the hours can sometimes be a suggestion, and they unexpectedly close earlier than indicated (but will leave a handwritten note). This place seems to be a local favorite. The prices are nice. I just wish it was more reliable with taste and quality.

Let's start of with how beautifully embellished the restaurant is. It's a refined fusion of modern elegance & old-world Persian heritage, that celebrates Persian hospitality & culture. You're greeted by the hostess that radiates warmth and geniality. Once seated you're gifted a complimentary starter Sabzi Plate that includes fresh herbs, feta cheese, walnuts, Castelvetrano olives, crunchy radish, and premium walnuts. It also comes with side of freshly baked Persian flatbread. We ordered a plethora of dishes. Our favorite plates were the hummus [we paired with the mushroom add on], lamb chops, and the Adas Polo rice. Trust me get the Adas Polo rice, it absolutely mouthwatering. As for beverages there is a variety of curated cocktails that we tasted but my top pick had to be the Tehran Mule! As for desserts our favorite was the Persian ice cream sandwich, it has unique flavors with rose being one of them. So good! For parking they offer a combination of valet services and validated garage parking depending on which location you go. The dress code is business casual. It's a perfect place for any accession, I definitely am planning on coming back to try more dishes. Take my word and come check it out! Your taste buds will thank you!

I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

We started with the mezze trio served with crudité and pita bread. All of the dips were fresh and flavorful, my personal favorite was the labneh. It was smooth, creamy, and absolutely delicious! For our entrees, I ordered the chicken kabob and my mom chose the lamb kabob. Both dishes came with a grilled tomato, peppers, a red onion salad, rice, and an assortment of sauces. The veggies were refreshing and slightly sweet, and the meats were perfectly seasoned and juicy!! And the sauces were all amazing and truly elevated the entire meal. From the food to the experience, everything was exceptional. We will absolutely be back, and I highly recommend Layaly for a special occasion or any time you want an outstanding meal!

I was offered a table vs. my go to (bar seating) I'm assuming because they weren't very busy. The server was very friendly and made great recommendations, so I went with the chicken kebab. This was marinated in a delicious mixture of flavors and was very tender. The basmati rice was fragrant and steaming hot. For dessert, they recommended the knafeh, a sweet, cheesy, and crunchy traditional dish. This dish came with warmed orange blossom simple syrup which just set the tone for the entire dish. It was so delicious, nothing like I've ever had. The perfect balance of sweet, salty, and crunchy. I will definitely come back here and try more food and definitely that Dubai chocolate cheesecake!

My girlfriend has a very strict diet due to food sensitivities, so before ordering she specifically asked about the dough, bread, and flours used in the food. Unfortunately, instead of receiving details about the ingredients, she was simply told that she could eat it. Based on that information, she ordered the meal, but later had a reaction to the dough that was used. This was frustrating because the situation likely could have been avoided if we had been given accurate information about the ingredients from the beginning. We completely understand that not every restaurant can accommodate every dietary restriction, but being transparent about what is used in the food allows customers to make informed decisions for themselves. The food itself was good, which is why we're giving 3 stars, but the service on this particular issue left us disappointed. We hope the restaurant can do a better job of providing ingredient information when customers ask, especially for those with dietary restrictions or sensitivities.

Located in Peachtree Hub, it was super convenient and just a few mins walk away from our downtown hotel. We were blown away by the amazing reviews and knew we had to try it. David and I both ordered plates which came with choice of protein and two sides. Love that they don't use any seed oils and cook with EVOO! Salmon with Alfredo Pasta + Creamy Chicken Soup: Was impressed that the salmon was cooked to order. I did have to wait maybe 7-10 mins for it, but while I waited Mr. Kameel gave me and another customer waiting some free lentil soup which was pretty good. The salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I also liked the alfredo pasta, super creamy and went well with the salmon. The first few bites of the creamy chicken soup were good, but then I found it to be extremely salty and I couldn't finish it. Overall, definitely impressed with how well the salmon was cooked, although it was a bit pricey ($24). Rosemary Chicken with rice + lentils: Chicken seems to be the most popular protein and I can see why! The portion was huge and the chicken was very moist and flavorful. On their own, the rice and lentils were okay and not extraordinary. Both plates came with a piece of falafel, and while I'm not a huge fan of falafel it deserves a mention because it was really good! (I was too full to finish but David happily finished it for me). I did really appreciate being greeted by Mr. Kameel himself as soon as we walked in. He greeted every single person as they entered and talked to everyone as if they were all regulars, saying "nice to see you again my friend!" He was just so nice! Loved the atomosphere. Definitely recommend for those looking for a quick bite of high quality food.
