Cod cheeks (almost meaty, scallop like texture)
    Andy X.

TLDR: bread is great, crab conchiglie was incredible, cod cheeks were flavorful and meaty I've been here at least 5 times and today's meal was the best one so far. Every dish hit. Usually we come just for the incredible focaccia and have mixed feelings about our entrees but today the pasta was so good. We started with burrata, cod cheeks, and a simple green salad. The burrata is standard and we get it to eat with the free bread service (best bread in Atlanta). It comes in a very fragrant olive oil. Burrata 7.8/10, bread 9.2/10 and it's free and you can get seconds. I was expecting the cod cheeks to be as fatty as yellowtail kama, but it was much more meaty than I expected. The texture was almost like scallops, an the sauce it came in was delicious. It was probably just butter and a bunch of herbs but that bangs. Fantastic to dip the bread in. 8.5/10 Simple green salad was super refreshing, crisp crunchy veggies with slight bitter aftertaste. Perfect amount of dressing 8.3/10 Crab conchiglie goes crazy, super super flavorful and cooked perfectly al dente. Every bite tasted like crab, I wouldn't recommend eating this by yourself because it's so rich, you probably need to share. Lemon cuts through the fat really well though. Was my favorite dish of the night. 9/10 Bucatini had a great oceany flavor, but had some slightly overcooked noodles. I confirmed that they used shrimp stock to make the sauce which explained why it had such deep flavor. Shrimp was tender and juicy. There was just a little bit of spice, and the garlic slices were nice and soft and didn't overpower the dish. 8.4/10 They gave us a free sweet cream gelato for the birthday dinner, and it paired very well with the rum banana toffee cake. Rum banana toffee cake was very decadent and rich, super sweet. Would've liked a little acid / slightly underbaked but 8/10 Great service, good vibes even if it can get a little loud during busy nights, and the food seems to only improve over the years?!

This place was excellent. The service with Haley was amazing. The food was delicious and plentiful. The drinks were great. Love my time. Will definitely recommend and revisit

I have been wanting to check out this place for awhile .. and finally went for happy hour with my friend. We grabbed the last two seats at the bar. The bartender were friendly and professional. Our drinks were well made. We ordered a number of apps - burrata, prosciutto, and arancini. It was accompanied by delicious and complimentary focaccia. What a treat! The atmosphere is lively but spacious enough that it still feels comfortable. Would definitely go back.

Very nice lace and beautiful dishes! This is a place my daughter and our son -in-law recommended and they have been here several times. We love the food and services. About $95 per person.

Meal of the year. Everything was perfect. Hostess on arrival helped stow our bags, super friendly, no reservation, but quickly accommodated. Great interior. Comfortable booth. High ceilings. Lots of tall windows. The bread came first. 5-star meal if we only ate bread. Light, fluffy, buttery and olive oily, and Parmesany. I want more now. Then octopus. While amazing it was also a way to convey more bread to my face. We had the halibut and roasted chicken. Both were incredible and additional reason to eat bread. Highly recommend both dishes. Finally, the tiramisu. It was maybe the best I've ever had. In summary, if you only have time to eat bread and tiramisu you'll have a 5-star meal. The actual entree were like a second 5-star meal in between.

Beautiful Italian Restaurant located right across from Saks Fifth Mall right on the corner of the Whitley Hotel. As soon as you drove around, you had the valet parking or you could have street parked, but you definitely would have a walk. Walked in and was greeted by our amazing host. Collette and Nathan directed me straight to our table. Celebrating a birthday party we ordered appetizers for the Table. the cheese plate board, the focaccia bread was a win so delicious served with warm butter. We took a whole bread home. We had the grilled Octopus we had the muscle seafood platter. The beautiful swordfish served with the delicious sauce was amazing. The tortellini Pepe pasta was a hit. Literally everything we had was just phenomenal. Amazing service our server Raven was perfection. Highly recommend and will definitely return.!

On this rainy January evening we were seated quickly at our reserved dining time and scored a window table. It was lovely. Our server was friendly and informative, but empty water glasses were slow to be refilled and my order of wine with dinner was late to be served. What's not to love about the ambiance at St. Cecilia and their in house made pastas, wonderful cocktails, flickering candles, and floor to 18' ceiling windows. This is how our dinner lined up: *Grouper appetizer with slight crispy coating was delish although my daughter thought otherwise. *Their complimentary Focaccia bread is in-house made and fantastic. Anyone you encounter, that has been to St. Cecilia's, will rave about their Focaccia. *The Beef Cheek Agnolotti, $34, was wonderful and always a reorder when we visit. *Heritage Chicken, $32, was tender, moist, perfectly cooked and the bed of white wine based sauce was perfect! *The shared Tagliolini al Tartufo, $46, topped with seemingly grated black truffle was good, but didn't measure up to the asking price. Not a reorder. We will definitely return!

Ahhh so glad I finally made it!! St. Cecilia is worth the hype!! I mean first of all the bread service... come on!! That is stunning. The charcuterie board?? That is the most meat and cheese on a board ever and even more than most tapas places I was so impressed! We also got the tuna from the raw bar and wow... so buttery and delicious. And the entrees... I got the angolotti with beef cheek which was to die for but the broccoli and fingerling potatoes were STUNNING sides. Everything was just absolutely delicious and stunning. And to top it off they brought our friend whose birthday it was some tiramisu which was also great!!! Everything was amazing.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this beautiful European restaurant. From the moment we pulled up and used the valet service, everything felt elevated and truly fine dining. The food was outstanding. My chicken dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared, and Ralph's swordfish was cooked just right tender and delicious. We shared the risotto and the fried risotto balls as an appetizer, and both were incredible. You can truly taste the quality in every bite. The drinks were amazing, the atmosphere was warm and elegant, and the customer service went above and beyond all night long. Even the cheesecake we took to go was fantastic the perfect sweet ending. This place gets five stars from us without hesitation. We will absolutely be back!

To begin, love the ambiance of this restaurant! The super high ceilings are absolutely beautiful with great interior decor. For apps we got - caesar salad, cauliflower and hamachi crudo. Caesar is a must - it's dressed perfectly, Crudo was also good, but cauliflower can be skipped. The sauce of the cauliflower didn't match the overall theme of the menu so it didn't pair well either the rest of our food. For mains, get the ribeye steak. It's marinated / dressed with an olive oil dressing and so good. The pasta portions are pretty big so you can definitely split. Got the spaghettini and it was delicious - my one callout is that it was a bit too oily, but tasted great. Served was great as well!

Updated Review for St. Cecilia I'm so happy I went back to St. Cecilia last Friday with my husband--this visit reminded me why it's considered one of the best spots in the city. The food and service were truly next level, and we will definitely be back. Standouts of the night: the yellowfin tuna--honestly the best I've ever had--and the calamari ribbons served in a light hot oil with chile spices. We had to order the octopus again because it's a must every time. For mains, we loved the olive oil poached halibut--a meaty cut of fish yet so delicate and perfectly balanced. The grilled ribeye was unique, sliced and topped with capers, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. We shared the bucatini pasta with grilled shrimp and a touch of chile heat--lighter but packed with flavor. Everything paired beautifully with a crisp, balanced Verdicchio, a bottle priced very reasonably for the quality. A big shout-out to Dex for top-notch service--we'll be back and definitely asking for him again.

Only good thing about this place is the staff. Very kind. Quick service. The food was below mid. The noodles were too al dente where it felt like very chewy. No presentation. Just threw it together. Drinks were actually good. Potato was good but how can you mess up potatoes? The bred was overly oily and salty. I got sick after eating here. Not worth the hype. Just come here for drinks and potato. Don't waste your time and money

We've been to St. Cecilia before, and their food is always top tier. Amazing Italian with a modern, European twist. But what was outstanding tonight was our service. We were celebrating our engagement and our waiter went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated and special. He was truly amazing and made the visit there incredible. If you're going to celebrate something, go here. They will take care of you.

We did arrive here a bit early for our reservation but were seated right next to the open kitchen, so it felt quite crowded and cramped. It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

We were greeted by the hostess as soon as we walked in and the restaurant was already very busy for a Saturday 6 pm dinner. Our server was fine, and the food was decent. I opted for the blackberry fiz mocktail, which was super sweet at first, but with a good mix, it was super refreshing. For starters, we shared the eggplant balls (a must get here!) and the bread service. The eggplant balls were definitely shareable and were probably our favorite thing we ate. The bread service you could probably skip - we wish it was served with vinegar instead of just oil and an olive tapenade. For entrees, I ordered one of the dinner specials, grilled branzino served with broccolini and potatoes. My husband ordered the ravioli. I really enjoyed the branzino, it was tender and the skin was cooked crispy. I loved that the broccolini was charred enough, but wish the potatoes were cooked a bit more. The capers added the needed saltiness to the dish, though I wish this was served with lemon or something to balance out the flavors. My husband enjoyed his ravioli but found it too heavy with the cream sauce. We thought this was a decent place for dinner, but nothing really stood out besides the eggplant balls.

In my photos you can see what we ordered, but my recommendation is to simply ask your server what they like and you'll undoubtably get something stellar. In a market of many, great Italian options, Sotto Sotto might just be the BEST and my new fav!!! I absolutely can't wait to return.

However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess. My group was 4 ppl 2 couples trying to enjoy a nice double date without the craziness of v-day next time we will celebrate days before. Will for sure be going back and hope you give them a try but if that's how the waiter greets himself please go ahead and ask for a different server!!!!

Finally got around to trying this place after it was recommended to me multiple times since 2021. I…read moredon't know why it took me so long to this place is worth it. The service was 10/10. The ambiance is cute. The bread service is some of the best I've ever had. And the cocktails are fire. Had the lemon chicken at the advice of our waitress and it was incredible. The pasta was great. Cesar salad solid. Wine list strong. Can't say enough.

Something has completely changed about this spot. It used to be one of my favorites, a nice moderately priced sit-down Italian restaurant tucked away in downtown Decatur. Maybe they've grown too big for their britches as we southerners say, but this most recent visit was likely my last. Staff attitudes were terrible, the execution of the food was a joke. My siblings and I had hyped this restaurant up to our mom and thought she would enjoyed being wined and dined. We arrived admittedly about 10 minutes after our reservation time (thanks to the city of Decatur's hostile parking policies), after attempting to call the restaurant and let them know we were circling the building. I say attempting because the number rings straight to an AI voice that doesn't allow you to speak once it asks you a question. I even tried sending messages through the OpenTable app. Either way, the restaurant claims you have a 15 minute grace period. Once we finally walked inside, my sister leaned over and whispered that their posted food inspection score was a low B. We exchanged glances but figured maybe they were inspected on an off day. The host (once she finally stopped avoiding eye contact with us) spontaneously let us know that since we weren't on time, we would be "getting a table in the back by the kitchen". What an odd policy to announce to your patrons that you're going to be punishing them with bad seating. The table was indeed by the kitchen but given how many tables this restaurant has tried to cram into the dining room, none of them are spectacular. I looked around and saw folks at tables bumping into the ones next to them, that's how tightly everyone is seated. Our server was friendly enough, and was able to recommend some good dishes. Word to the wise, while they bring bread to the table, it's one half-slice per person. We learned the hard way (because our server never mentioned it) that asking for more bread (the exact same amount as before mind you) is $7. You could buy a freshly baked loaf for that price. The actual food was fine, not bad but nothing like we've had in the past. It arrived fairly quickly. Where the dinner continued nosediving was when my sister, after seeing that we all had ordered small side dishes of pasta, decided she'd like to order some as well. By small side dish, I mean a fistful in a soup cup. I add that detail because when she asked the server, the server stated it would be AT LEAST a 20 minute wait. We asked her to repeat herself because surely we heard that wrong, right? 20 minutes for spaghetti?! She left for a few minutes, then came back and said her manager confirmed that even if she asked the kitchen to rush it, the soonest would be 18 minutes. You see a pattern here right? This restaurant seems like they relish letting their customers know who's in charge...and here's a hint reader, it's not you. Where the evening actually became appalling was a result of our closeness to the kitchen. They have a sous chef working dining room-adjacent doing the final dish prep before the food is picked up by the runners. I know kitchens usually don't utilize gloves (the whole, hands can be frequently washed but the same pair of gloves will touch multiple surfaces thing). However this gentleman unabashedly practiced some of the worst cross contamination practices I've ever seen. He'd grabbed fistfuls of Parmesan cheese to garnish a plate, then reach in his pocket for his phone. Then he'd arrange leaves of lettuce for salad, then TOUCH HIS HAIR. We watched him on two occasions have, either family friends or familiar patrons, walk up to him excitedly and he'd hug them and shake their hands and pat their shoulders, and once done would immediately grab forks and knives and spoons by their business ends, squeeze lemons, slice bread, fist the cheese container....absolutely disgusting and completely explains the health inspection score. If anything it should have been lower. We were only 5 feet away from the guy and he made eye contact with us several times so it's not like he was embarrassed. A long haired woman came over a few times and did the same as him, though she did put black gloves on once or twice. To top it off, once we received the check was we saw plenty of upcharges and surcharges that our server neglected to tell us she would be adding, so her tip reflected her oversight. To wrap it up, not only is the service and food not worth the price, but this place is actually unhygienic. Unless they change their practices, you're eating here at your own risk. Wish Yelp was like IG and I could @ the health department....
