Tried a bunch of items that we had not tried before. The cod cheeks were delicious, especially the sauce which we sopped up with the bread. Tagliolini tartufo (truffle) was rich and yummy. Halibut was cooked perfectly but the new preparation was slightly bland. Pistachio pudding cake was a huge serving--definitely enough to share--and was very good. As for the food, it was just okay. I ordered the swordfish, but it had a stronger, gamier flavor than I prefer, and the salad was a bit too tart for my taste. The bread was excellent. The location is another strong point, it offers enjoyable views of passing traffic and the Phipps Plaza façade. Never got to try this place back when I lived in Atlanta due to the difficulties of getting a weekend reservation, so was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get one when visiting recently. I don't usually make it down to this part of town so knew it was now or never. I had high hopes for the place given the hype, and for the most part it lived up. The drinks and appetizers were on-point, very creative dishes and the presentation was very nice. The best thing was definitely the Foccacia bread with the ricotta dip. Service was decent as well, very attentive as you'd expect at upscale restaurants. Very nice atmosphere inside so definitely recommend for a date spot. The pasta dishes were decent but not anything to write home about. Admittedly my standards for Italian food are high coming from NJ/NY so that probably influences my opinion. TLDR: bread is great, crab conchiglie was incredible, cod cheeks were flavorful and meaty I've been here at least 5 times and today's meal was the best one so far. Every dish hit. Usually we come just for the incredible focaccia and have mixed feelings about our entrees but today the pasta was so good. We started with burrata, cod cheeks, and a simple green salad. The burrata is standard and we get it to eat with the free bread service (best bread in Atlanta). It comes in a very fragrant olive oil. Burrata 7.8/10, bread 9.2/10 and it's free and you can get seconds. I was expecting the cod cheeks to be as fatty as yellowtail kama, but it was much more meaty than I expected. The texture was almost like scallops, an the sauce it came in was delicious. It was probably just butter and a bunch of herbs but that bangs. Fantastic to dip the bread in. 8.5/10 Simple green salad was super refreshing, crisp crunchy veggies with slight bitter aftertaste. Perfect amount of dressing 8.3/10 Crab conchiglie goes crazy, super super flavorful and cooked perfectly al dente. Every bite tasted like crab, I wouldn't recommend eating this by yourself because it's so rich, you probably need to share. Lemon cuts through the fat really well though. Was my favorite dish of the night. 9/10 Bucatini had a great oceany flavor, but had some slightly overcooked noodles. I confirmed that they used shrimp stock to make the sauce which explained why it had such deep flavor. Shrimp was tender and juicy. There was just a little bit of spice, and the garlic slices were nice and soft and didn't overpower the dish. 8.4/10 They gave us a free sweet cream gelato for the birthday dinner, and it paired very well with the rum banana toffee cake. Rum banana toffee cake was very decadent and rich, super sweet. Would've liked a little acid / slightly underbaked but 8/10 Great service, good vibes even if it can get a little loud during busy nights, and the food seems to only improve over the years?! read more

Lots of tall windows. The bread came first. 5-star meal if we only ate bread. Light, fluffy, buttery and olive oily, and Parmesany. I want more now. Then octopus. While amazing it was also a way to convey more bread to my face. We had the halibut and roasted chicken. Both were incredible and additional reason to eat bread. Highly recommend both dishes. What really stood out to me, however, was the service. I've had the pleasure of being served by Fenix twice now, and both experiences have been memorable. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and personable without being overbearing. It's clear that he takes pride in providing a great guest experience, and that level of service makes a lasting impression. The only thing I wish they would allow is the ability to transfer a bar tab to your dining table check. Having to close out and reopen a tab is a small inconvenience. As soon as you drove around, you had the valet parking or you could have street parked, but you definitely would have a walk. Walked in and was greeted by our amazing host. The food and service were truly next level, and we will definitely be back. Standouts of the night: the yellowfin tuna--honestly the best I've ever had--and the calamari ribbons served in a light hot oil with chile spices. We had to order the octopus again because it's a must every time. For mains, we loved the olive oil poached halibut--a meaty cut of fish yet so delicate and perfectly balanced. The grilled ribeye was unique, sliced and topped with capers, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. We shared the bucatini pasta with grilled shrimp and a touch of chile heat--lighter but packed with flavor. Everything paired beautifully with a crisp, balanced Verdicchio, a bottle priced very reasonably for the quality. Peanut allergy and gluten-free folks have plenty of options. They have a great wine selection here. We ordered 2 bottles of Cabernet for the table and everyone enjoyed it. The complementary bread is one of the stars here. It's honestly some of the best bread I've had at a restaurant. Everyone enjoyed the meat and cheese board and grouper cheeks. To begin, love the ambiance of this restaurant! The super high ceilings are absolutely beautiful with great interior decor. For apps we got - caesar salad, cauliflower and hamachi crudo. Caesar is a must - it's dressed perfectly, Crudo was also good, but cauliflower can be skipped. The sauce of the cauliflower didn't match the overall theme of the menu so it didn't pair well either the rest of our food. For mains, get the ribeye steak. It's marinated / dressed with an olive oil dressing and so good. The pasta portions are pretty big so you can definitely split. We had the Tuna Crudo & Arancini for appetizers, Agnolotti & Cappelletti pasta for entree and for desert the soft serve Affogato (vanilla bean ice cream with hot espresso to pour over the top, so starts off like an ice cream, ends up a coffee drink, perfect because it comes in a coffee cup. They offer some delicious mocktails which is great. The only criticism I have is parking should be FREE, I know valet is offered for $3, seriously paying that when we paid nearly $200 for dinner is just a bit cheesy, we chose not to valet and paid $10 parking, please comp parking for your guests. Exceptional dinner! Been there countless times over the years, and this was hands-down one of the best meals my family has ever had there. The bread is always incredible. I don't think there's any debate from any reviewer about the amazing quality and taste of that bread. Cod cheeks - delicious, light and with a nice bit of a crunch topping. Cucumbers - excellent, refreshing and mild. Octopus - excellent. My sister and my mother both consistently love their apple salads. I had for the first time the striped bass. I was pleasantly surprised from the first bite by the delicious taste of the fish, especially since I'm not a huge fish fanatic. But it was truly excellent, simply prepared on the grill with light flavors, not fishy, very tasty. My brother had the halibut and although he is a difficult critic at times, he thought it was excellent. My brother-in-law loved the mezaluna pasta, and my mother loved the scallops - both dishes looked excellent as well. I know St. Cecilia has some of the best pastas in town, always homemade with excellent sauces - the agnolotti is normally my favorite. Every dish is so well prepared, refined, well thought out, and the tastes are delicious; as my mother so aptly stated, everything is different so you never get any two dishes that have the same flavor. One criticism - my sister was not crazy about the pork milanese. She thought it was a bit overcooked. Desserts were excellent, especially the warm chocolate chip pudding cake with pistachio caramel and the huge slices of tiramisu. As always, service is exemplary, friendly yet professional. Your experience starts with a warm welcome at the reception desk and then being escorted to your table. The menu is concise and not overloaded with all the usual mix I see these days. Things started out so well at St. Cecilia, and we were excited about what was to come. The pastry chef seriously needs a raise. The focaccia they start your meal with is some of, if not the, best bread we've ever eaten...even on our trip to Italy! The cheese plate was good and didn't have any blue cheese, which was a happy surprise. Although the presentation wasn't anything special, the honeycomb was very good. My wife and I were both excited about the "wood-fired" swordfish, but it was very disappointing. My wife forced herself to eat hers, but I couldn't do it. The fish was drenched in olive oil and some gelatinous orange sauce with raisins and olives. It tasted very odd, like maybe it was made with tomato paste instead of fresh tomatoes. I'm not sure, but it was not good. They replaced it with the halibut; however, that plate was drenched in olive oil as well. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Dessert was pretty good. The waffle cone pieces were very good, but the gelato was just ok. The biscotti that came with my wife's cappuccino was better than the dessert! We had such high hopes after the start, and the dessert and biscotti saved the end. On the bright side, the service was fantastic! Not a total fail, just not fine dining in any way. Our server brought our check and we paid and we kept sitting there waiting for our leftovers and desserts. Maybe 30 minutes went by and our server finally came by and told us he had accidentally given our leftovers to a different table, and had also forgotten to order our desserts. We were nice about it and asked to be brought our desserts, and they comped our drinks. Another 30 minutes went by before we were finally brought our desserts. I was baffled that there was not more haste after our server initially realized our desserts hadn't been ordered. Richard was our waiter and gave amazing recommendations and top-tier service all night. The food and drinks were everything. I even tried the octopus--which I normally wouldn't--and it was a MUST, 10/10! For my meal, I had one of their pasta dishes, rich and full of flavor, and finished with a perfect crème brûlée for dessert. For drinks, I ordered their take on a French 75 and their version of a margarita (forgetting the exact names, but trust me--both were a hit!).
