When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. After walking through gravel and returning, we entered, paid, once I sat down, the security came to mention that my other friend needed to return her handbag. The signage should be clear for ALL patrons and not discretion. The dimensions of the purse did not equate to large or big. I looked across the room and saw a purse (same size) sitting on a counter that someone else had. I was baffled that security saw us, allowed us to enter and pay. The communication with the owner was poor. No eye contact and seem as if he did not want to be bothered and sadly we were told he wasn't there. Tip: Provide clear communication to ALL staff and on signage to clearly specify the dimensions of handbags that are not permitted and be sure that your staff is informed, instead of picking who you want to select, because there's difference in a large tote, small handbag, clutch or wristlet.
