Nice little hole in the wall place with seating available in the back. Not much of a view in the back porch, but you might see a train pass by. Friendly staff, food was good. What a great find. They had live music playing which was perfect for the place. The owner, Michelle (I hope I remember it correctly) was SUPER. Loved loved loved! We stumbled into the Vine during our weekend in Blue Ridge, and liked it so much we came back the next night. So many wines to chose from as well as beer and cocktails. The staff were very helpful and friendly both nights. They have live music on the weekends and it was great! I wasn't expecting the food to be the best since we were there for the drinks, but man was I wrong. We got the margarita flatbread the first night 11/10, and my husband got the piggy piggy figgy (?) sand-which which he said was very good. The next night we shared the Dixie chicken flatbread 10/10. It is small inside but it's very homey. We loved the wine decor and the first responder challenge pins on the glass bar, they were from all over! Passing through Blue Ridge we stumbled upon the Vine while exploring the downtown area. What a wonderful spot to stop and enjoy a wine flight. The staff are very friendly and engaging. We were offered suggestions that balanced perfectly between my taste and the taste of my wife. We enjoyed a barbecue chicken flatbread that was prepared perfectly. The owner has a very nice LEO challenge coin collection embedded in the bar. My only knock on The Vine is that they close at 6 pm on a Wednesday evening. I'm not familiar with "Blue Ridge Time", but everywhere seems to close early. The area is a blossoming tourist destination and I hope they consider expanding their hours of operation for travelers such as myself. The vine is really our favorite place to come to when we are in Blue Ridge. Michelle the owner is always so nice- It's really the "Cheers" of Blue Ridge. They always now who you are what you drink and the service and food is always top notch. Found this place by chance on our first trip to Blue Ridge yesterday. They had us with outside sign touting wine and beer flights. Small quaint place with great atmosphere with live music great food and drinks. Wife is the wine drinker and they had great selection. Barkeep picked her flight based on her likings and did a great job on selections. Beer flight is limited to whats on tap which isn't a lot since it is mainly a wine bar but what they did have was really good. Then we ordered a flatbread trio, the margherita, Reuben, and dixie chicken. Yes, they were all good! Plenty of ooey gooey cheese and flavors and sauces. Also, we ordered the cheese flight it came with a cheddar, smoked gouda, and merlot. The accoutrements were water cracker with and without pepper, strawberry, grapes, and honey. The service was ok until the owner decided on getting involved with our table. We were there for Fall Arts Festival and came to support the local adult watering hole and order a few dishes. We were feeling very young as each of us were carded, mind you we are all over 30yo. LoL (Apparently there was a scenario where a business was caught selling alcohol to minors) Each of us had our ID's including one that had one in her digital wallet. Long story short the "owner" Tony Came over to the table and did not accept the digital ID. He then went back to the local who walked in, Sat at the bar and said, "the usual?" Without carding him. So we felt we did not have to give this establishment our business, drank one beer, couple of lemonades and said F this place! So we walked down the street to find a better spot that we all loved AND accepted our ID in digital format. We do not recommend visiting this spot during any events. But if you are a local have at it!! This is a treasure in downtown Blue Ridge! Stumbled into it while waiting on a table at Harvest on Main, and we'd just been seated and received menus when we got the alert that our table was ready 20 minutes earlier than planned! Michelle, who is the owner as well as one of the bartenders, was so good-natured about it that we felt comfortable coming back after dinner. When we came back in the next night, our bartender from the previous evening (Madeleine) was here as a customer. It's THAT kind of place. Everyone is fun, the atmosphere is terrific. There's live music, but it isn't so loud you can't have a conversation, and the musician during our nights was talented and fun. Have stopped by here a few times over the years when we are in town. One time we heard live music as we were walking by and couldn't help but stop in. They helped us select a bottle of red wine to take home with us which we really enjoyed. I would also recommend the sangria or the mu distilled wine for something different.
