We visited this spot while on vacation, looking for a dog-friendly restaurant (found via the BringFido app). The view was lovely , and we enjoyed a stroll after lunch to take some photos . Upon arrival, we checked in for a party of three. The host staff was efficient but not particularly welcoming ‍. We were seated quickly, within five minutes . However, service throughout the meal was slow--there were long waits for drinks , refills , and the check , even though the restaurant didn't seem overly busy. Given the limited menu , I expected quicker service. I also noticed a note on the menu limiting dining time to 45 minutes , which seemed odd considering the pace of service. If the establishment enforces such a time limit, they should ensure the service is prompt enough to accommodate it without making guests feel rushed . Additionally, for a holiday weekend , the menu was extremely limited. We drove in from a neighboring town , and this was not indicated on the website, which was disappointing .

The service here was lackluster. Our waiter would disappear and we had to ask for refills. We had to wait a while on an our food. The food is pretty simple (which isn't necessarily bad) with a small menu. In my opinion it is overpriced for what it was. The atmosphere is fun and chill, seems to be place for the locals to hang out. Probably wouldn't go back.

The food was not great, the drink was really good, the service was fine, the ambiance is pretty much what you'd expect at a bar and grill on a lake. Not terrible overall.

This was a great lunchtime pit stop for us while staying in Blue Ridge. Great water views from the comfort of an open-air, completely shaded patio. Seating to accommodate small or large groups. Dog friendly. Full liquor bar. Great service. We ate the chicken sandwich, Buffalo wrap, and quesadilla with pulled pork. All rated as tasty.

This place is an Outdoor bar and grill that is family friendly. Boat Dock Bar and Grill is a WATERFRONT restaurant with classic American eats. Their outdoor seating has tons of coverage and shade. This place has plenty of seating and a bar area with almost all the spots facing the water. The menu was limited (not much seafood) but had classic options. The options ranged from burgers, sandwiches and wings, with the occasional seafood option (ie: shrimp, grouper fingers and calamari). Their menu had delicious sides including steak fries and a loaded baked potato salad which was YUM! The drink menu included wine, beer and speciality cocktails. Some of which were fun creations like the Blue Ridge Boat Wreak and the LBRM Ridge Runner (a mix of fruity liqueurs and juices). Great menu and even better atmosphere!! Pro Tip: the chicken patty and wings are freshly smoked in the back !!

Pulled pork quesadillas

Need to update their menu on the website- prices have doubled! Food was very good, service was good, just a little sticker shocked. That being said, I will come here again

We ate there for Mother's Day, great atmosphere, food and service is very good. Ate in a cover patio facing the lake, it was a little crowded people hanging out with their dogs on the surrounding area, we didn't mind at all, it's a great place to hang out. you will like this place. Check hours, they close early or not open at all off season.

Great location. Bar food that's decent. Service is a little slow but we were there on the weekend so it was quite crowded.

Great place to hang out on the lake. But the margaritas were just ok and the food was about the same.

It's your typical Marina bar and grill. Good beer selection on tap. Food was average for this kind of place. Good service tho.

I have a very restricted diet due to allergens and almost never eat out because of it but our servers, Tony and Josiah, completely changed that for me. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe, thoughtful, and still absolutely delicious. That level of care and attention meant more than I can put into words. The steak was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. And the olive oil... I genuinely wanted to buy a bottle and take it home it was THAT good. Tony and Josiah didn't just provide great service they made the entire night feel easy, special, and memorable for everyone at the table. We felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish. Thank you for making a celebration like this possible for someone who usually has to sit those experiences out. We'll absolutely be back!! This place was one for the books !! :,)

The service was great as they constantly checked on us, the staff was helpful with providing recommendations from the menu, and were quite humorous and entertaining. I recommend the tuna carpaccio and cacio e Pepe. As someone who loves truffle and a good pasta you can't go wrong with those. Considering how much food we ordered the total price was fair. I highly recommend!!

Not only it was on my birthday in which we celebrated. But our excursion to the mountains for the long weekend was a fantastic time. As you can see through the pictures we really went all the way my dish was as abundance of seafood that you could have with an amazing cioppino sauce that was also soppable with crusty garlic bread. The beverages were on point, they have a great menu of bourbons. Will not disappoint. As a surprise they gave me a flourless chocolate Bundt cake to take home with a candle. Being with the family is always a warm unforgettable experience. There is something to be said about being surrounded by people who care and love so much. I'm in bliss. Until next time ...

For drinks, the Sweater Weather was the clear winner--well-balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The combination of Bulleit rye, La Pommiere Calvados, and sorghum created a smooth, seasonal cocktail with nice depth. The Properly Poached was decent but didn't quite impress in the same way; the Brugal Añejo, pear liqueur, dark wildflower honey, and pink salt made for an interesting profile, though it leaned a bit flat compared to the first cocktail. We started with the broiled sweet crab dip served fondue-style with pita chips, which was a great opener. It was warm, creamy, and rich, with good crab flavor that made it easy to keep going back for more. For entrées, the blackened mahi fish tacos were fresh and flavorful. The mango pico added a nice brightness, and the cilantro crema tied everything together nicely on the corn tortillas. The smash burger was another solid choice--juicy double patties with melted American cheese, crispy onion rings, house sauce, and house-made pickles that added a great tangy crunch. Service was ok waitress took a bit to bring the drinks and then the food took about 30+ minutes luckily we were entertained by talking to locals that we really weren't concerned. Overall, the restaurant delivers a pleasant upscale-casual dining experience with well-executed comfort favorites and creative cocktails. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the crab dip and the Sweater Weather cocktail and the fish tacos those were my overall favorites. Prices are mid range. Note that the restaurant as most restaurants in the Blue Ridge close early.

Such a cool touch. Our server Ben was outstanding. It was our first visit and he spent time walking us through the menu and helping us decide. He was funny, attentive, and every recommendation he gave us was spot on. The carpaccio appetizer was amazing -- presented traditionally and then mixed tableside into perfectly balanced bite-sized pieces. It was both beautiful and delicious. Both of our filets were cooked perfectly, and dessert was a highlight. The warm peanut jelly & butter cake is a must-order. Truly one of the best meals and service experiences we've had. The gal behind the counter was very prompt and courteous and answered my questions about options on the menu. There is a big stove across the bar so you can see some of the cooking that gets done. The only issue with that is the heat...I didn't want my frosty beer glass to warm up while I enjoyed one of their local brews. I'd rather sit away from the cooking action. I ordered the crab cakes which came with coleslaw. The crab cakes had a nice sauce decorating the top of each cake. I asked for more because the crab cakes were a bit more bread filled than crab filled. I know I am spoiled with west coast Dungeness crab as you get a lot of chunks and not well flaked blue crab, but I really was hoping for more crab than I got for the money. The coleslaw was just okay. It was a nice mayo based dressing but lacked a tangy/sweet combo that I just adore. I am not impressed enough to return.
