Outstanding food and dessert! Service was pleasant they didn't bug us. It was her 60 birthday and they gave us skillet cookie, OMG so good! We will be back!

Came with the family as we were in the area visiting and once again you trustee YELPERS guided us, right! We did a call ahead so we were seated immediately on arrival. This is a very quaint little restaurant built in an old banking site. The ambience is very interesting. There was live music throughout our lunch, which made it even more interesting because we are a musical family! Our server was very friendly and took our order almost immediately. The wifey ordered the Reuben Sandwich and she loved it. I was in the mood for a good old American cheeseburger, and I was not disappointed at all.. Dust went with the chicken salad and by the looks of it, he demolished it! Elle had the chicken with the pasta and she enjoyed it too! Sam had the Kiddy's Chicken Finger meal. I don't know. We had a really good afternoon and yes, we will definitely be back when in the area. FELLOW YELPERS I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE SO DO GIVE IT A TRY!

This is a great restaurant. It's an old bank that still has the vault inside. If you are lucky maybe you could eat inside it. Very nice bar with casual upscale feel. Reservations are recommended. Service was excellent. You must start with the homemade cornbread. It is delicious. My wife ordered the fresh trout over mashed potatoes. Trout was very good. Potatoes were creamy and hot. I started with a salad that was very good. My meal was the delicious bone in pork chop . It was covered with an apple chutney. Green beans were freshly cooked perfectly. This is our favorite restaurant in blue ridge.

We were in town for a bachelorette weekend (total of 8 ladies) and was spending Friday night in town so we came here for dinner. I called about 2 weeks before and made a reservation for us. We had seen online that there was a vault that you could sit in (this restaurant used to be an old bank) so I did try to request it but it wasn't guaranteed. When we arrived, we were not seated in the vault (which was fine). Our server greeted us right away and got our drink orders in, etc. We ordered some apps - pork belly, cornbread, fried green tomatoes and salmon dip. The salmon dip was SOOOO good, that was my favorite for sure. The fried green tomatoes and cornbread were also good. I did not try the pork belly, but heard from the other girls that they enjoyed it. For entrees, a lot of the ladies ordered one of the specials, which was a fish dish with gnocchi. Unfortunately, the gnocchi was not cooked correctly and nobody liked that part of their dish. The rest of it was good they said, it had great flavor. I ordered the pescatore pasta and I really enjoyed that - good flavor, good amount of lobster, calamari and shrimp! They ordered the peach cobbler as well and said it was pretty good. Overall, we had a nice time and everyone enjoyed their food for the most part.

General ledger is amazing from service to food to drinks, it's just amazing. The blackened pork chop was perfect and the bread pudding for dessert, the old fashioned was right on the mark. We almost went here twice on our trip.

Cozy local spot in Downtown Blue Ridge - previously converted bank turned restaurant, you can even dine in the "bank safe" area/room. Food was delicious and fresh, inviting ambiance and friendly staff.

My party and I attended the General Ledger for some dinner reservations last Saturday night. It was very busy but they were able to accommodate us about 10 minutes early and give us a relatively private area for a large group. The service was very kind and attentive and our waitress was able to effectively and efficiently serve our table with a bright smile! The food itself was great! The cordon blue sandwich had so much flavor. I loved the addition of the red peppers as it really took it over the top. The white cheddar croquettes that I got as the side were tasty but needed a little salt. I tried my sister's burger and the patty was HUGE. You definitely get your moneys worth with any of these sandwiches. Overall, worth a visit if you're in the blue ridge area and looking for your next dinner stop.

What a cute place! Just left the bank field. We were sad right away. We went in early for lunch. The server was top-notch spot on water filled to the rim plates cleared very attentive. He did a excellent job. We ended up splitting a salad with steak and it was so delicious. But we also split the cornbread, which was like dessert. It was so sweet and yummy. Lots of butter! Super cute place great food great service highly recommend.

Pecan Crusted Trout

Great service from Cheyanne! Food was delicious. I had the Caesar salad and shrimp and grits and both were fantastic.

Poor service. Our server was impaired. Food was bland and lacked flavor. Out of many popular items.

I ordered the trout. The portion was huge, and it was delicious. Wish I knew the cocktails my friends ordered, but I know they enjoyed them!

Well I apologize for the very long delay on submitting this review. Yanno life gets in the way…read more.. Anyhoo, this place.... Wow... Really really enjoy this establishment. Not only it was on my birthday in which we celebrated. But our excursion to the mountains for the long weekend was a fantastic time. As you can see through the pictures we really went all the way my dish was as abundance of seafood that you could have with an amazing cioppino sauce that was also soppable with crusty garlic bread. The beverages were on point, they have a great menu of bourbons. Will not disappoint. As a surprise they gave me a flourless chocolate Bundt cake to take home with a candle. Being with the family is always a warm unforgettable experience. There is something to be said about being surrounded by people who care and love so much. I'm in bliss. Until next time ...

We recently visited Whiskey and Water Seafood and Bourbon Bar and had an overall enjoyable…read moreexperience with a few standout items. For drinks, the Sweater Weather was the clear winner--well-balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The combination of Bulleit rye, La Pommiere Calvados, and sorghum created a smooth, seasonal cocktail with nice depth. The Properly Poached was decent but didn't quite impress in the same way; the Brugal Añejo, pear liqueur, dark wildflower honey, and pink salt made for an interesting profile, though it leaned a bit flat compared to the first cocktail. We started with the broiled sweet crab dip served fondue-style with pita chips, which was a great opener. It was warm, creamy, and rich, with good crab flavor that made it easy to keep going back for more. For entrées, the blackened mahi fish tacos were fresh and flavorful. The mango pico added a nice brightness, and the cilantro crema tied everything together nicely on the corn tortillas. The smash burger was another solid choice--juicy double patties with melted American cheese, crispy onion rings, house sauce, and house-made pickles that added a great tangy crunch. Service was ok waitress took a bit to bring the drinks and then the food took about 30+ minutes luckily we were entertained by talking to locals that we really weren't concerned. Overall, the restaurant delivers a pleasant upscale-casual dining experience with well-executed comfort favorites and creative cocktails. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the crab dip and the Sweater Weather cocktail and the fish tacos those were my overall favorites. Prices are mid range. Note that the restaurant as most restaurants in the Blue Ridge close early.
