She explained that she has an allergy to Mango Habanero sauce. Mango Habanero is one of the chicken wing sauces. We ended up having a conversation about allergies with the waitress. Their chicken wings are juicy and you get many sauces to choose from but my favorite meal was the Mahi Reuben Sandwich which was fantastic. Sweet, tangy and creamy so much better than corned beef. It did not taste fishy at all and the rye bread had the best buttery crisp edges. River Street Tavern is cozy, casual and it has a compact lay out. You get to relax and can have a conversation over a few beers and good food. Place gets busy but is not loud. Whether you're one of the locals or just passing by, leave your mark by pinning a dollar bill to the ceiling.

I have a very restricted diet due to allergens and almost never eat out because of it but our servers, Tony and Josiah, completely changed that for me. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe, thoughtful, and still absolutely delicious. That level of care and attention meant more than I can put into words. The steak was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. And the olive oil... I genuinely wanted to buy a bottle and take it home it was THAT good. Tony and Josiah didn't just provide great service they made the entire night feel easy, special, and memorable for everyone at the table. We felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish. We did get the ribs with regular BBQ sauce because we didn't like the flavor of that house sauce but the ribs themselves cooked to perfection. They were even delicious plain. Not only it was on my birthday in which we celebrated. But our excursion to the mountains for the long weekend was a fantastic time. As you can see through the pictures we really went all the way my dish was as abundance of seafood that you could have with an amazing cioppino sauce that was also soppable with crusty garlic bread. The beverages were on point, they have a great menu of bourbons. Will not disappoint. As a surprise they gave me a flourless chocolate Bundt cake to take home with a candle. If you are anywhere near Blue Ridge, GO TO ROSE'S SMASH HOUSE. Seriously…read more I'm going to say something I don't say lightly: Rose's Smash House may have just ruined burgers for us everywhere else. We've been dying to go ever since we heard it was opening downtown, so we showed up right when they opened for lunch and decided to try several menu items. I'm SO glad we did. This is not just another burger joint. This is what happens when professionally trained fine-dining chefs decide everyone deserves ridiculously good food without the ridiculous fine-dining price tag. We started with the French Dip Smash, a special, and it was phenomenal. That perfectly crispy, caramelized smash-burger crust, incredible beef, and rich French-dip flavors came together in a burger that made us look at each other after the first bite like, "Oh... WOW." Then came the elote fries, another special, which were comfort food turned up to 11. The fries themselves are on another level because Rose's uses grass-fed beef tallow, giving them that deeply savory, old-school flavor you simply cannot get from ordinary fryer oil. The portion was huge, and they stayed hot and crispy throughout our entire meal - even through dessert. And then there was the Gutter Dog. I consider myself something of a hot dog snob, and I can honestly say this was the best hot dog I have ever eaten. Not the best hot dog in Blue Ridge. Not the best hot dog I've had on vacation. The BEST hot dog. Period. We also had Rose's Special Lemonade, made with local vodka, peach, and strawberry. It was ridiculously refreshing and the perfect pairing for an outrageously good meal. And PLEASE do not skip dessert. The sundae with strawberry sauce and crumble was the perfect ending. The vanilla soft serve is unbelievably delicious - creamy, rich, and nostalgic in the best way. And that strawberry sauce?! It tastes like the best homemade strawberry jam you've ever had. Intensely strawberry-forward, not artificial or overly sweet, and so good we scraped every last bit from the bowl. What impressed me most, though, was the level of care behind everything. The owners are professionally trained chefs from high-end kitchens, and you can absolutely taste that experience. Their kitchen was also SPOTLESS - genuinely one of the cleanest restaurant kitchens I've ever seen. From the quality of the ingredients to the execution of every component, there is an attention to detail you simply don't expect at this price point. They use 100% local Georgia Wagyu beef, an ingredient you'd expect to pay a premium for at a much more expensive restaurant, yet the prices are incredibly reasonable. That may be my favorite thing about Rose's. You get thoughtful, chef-driven food made with excellent ingredients, but there is absolutely no pretension. It's fun, relaxed, welcoming, and accessible. Their philosophy that great food shouldn't be reserved for special occasions is something I LOVE. The hospitality was just as impressive. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care whether we were enjoying ourselves. The owners personally came over to talk with us, check on us, and make sure everything was perfect. That kind of personal connection is increasingly rare, and it made the experience feel special. There are plenty of places where you can get a burger. Far fewer places offer exceptional ingredients, serious culinary technique, immaculate attention to detail, genuinely warm hospitality, and a fun atmosphere - all without spending a fortune. Rose's Smash House is one of those places. If you're visiting Blue Ridge, put this on your must-do list. If you live here, I honestly don't know how this isn't already one of your regular spots. We left thinking, "We HAVE to come back." So you'll probably see us again this weekend. Rose's Smash House isn't just serving burgers. They're proving that great dining doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, it just has to be done exceptionally well. 10/10. Five stars. Would happily eat here multiple times per week. Blue Ridge is VERY lucky to have Rose's.

The double stack burger was outstanding -- perfectly cooked with that classic smash burger crust and packed with flavor. The onion rings were absolute perfection: crispy, golden, and exactly what you hope onion rings will be. The gutter fries were equally amazing. The atmosphere deserves a special mention. The mechanic-shop-inspired theme is incredibly cool and gives the place a fun, unique personality. It's clear that a lot of thought went into creating a space that's just as enjoyable as the food. A quick tip for future visitors: come early! The place gets busy, and for good reason. Also, keep in mind they're still getting established, so a little patience goes a long way. The team is working hard, and it's worth the wait. I can't wait to come back and work my way through more of the menu -- the hot dogs and salads are definitely next on my list. Blue Ridge has a winner on its hands.

Such a cool touch. Our server Ben was outstanding. It was our first visit and he spent time walking us through the menu and helping us decide. He was funny, attentive, and every recommendation he gave us was spot on. The carpaccio appetizer was amazing -- presented traditionally and then mixed tableside into perfectly balanced bite-sized pieces. It was both beautiful and delicious. Both of our filets were cooked perfectly, and dessert was a highlight. The warm peanut jelly & butter cake is a must-order. Truly one of the best meals and service experiences we've had.
