At first the balsamic smelled strongly of vinegar but it worked so well with all the ingredients, it was not overpowering as I thought. Such a well-balanced dish. I had to end the whole experience with the last bite of toast because everything else was pretty sweet, and it was just that amazing. We got two lunch specials (two slices, any type, choice of breadsticks or house salad, and a drink) and two slices of cheese pizza and a drink for Cora (our 3 year old granddaughter), all for around $26.00. Salad was fresh and crisp with lettuce, onion, cherry tomatoes, black olives, pepperoncini and croutons, topped with shaved Parmesan. I had a Basalmic Vinaigrette that was very good. The breadsticks were light with a crispy crust generously covered in Parmesan and garlic butter, served with Marinara. The Pizza was the star. The slices were huge. One of the guys came to the table and cut Cora's in half so she could handle it; very nice. The Margherita pizza was delicious, perfectly balanced with tomato, mozzarella and the perfect amount of basil. The cheese pizza was a hit with Cora. They certainly do not skimp on the cheese on any of the pizza, and it's delicious. The Supreme packed a punch, loaded with toppings and cheese, and also delicious. The sauce was very good. The crust was about the perfect thickness to me, and although I like it a bit crispier, it was still very good. The pizza was cooked perfectly and I'm afraid if they'd cooked it any longer to crisp the crust, the top would have burned, so I was ok with it and enjoyed it. My only knock on any of this is that they have canned drinks/bottled water. I tend to drink a lot, and I love ice, so I might deduct half a star for that, but that wasn't enough to outweigh the value or the food. The guy cutting Cora's pizza for her and different people coming by and checking on us was nice, and I appreciated the inspiring Bible verses on the wall; kind of gave the place a "homey" feel. So, if you're wanting to eat at the restaurant, you may want to call ahead and ask about available seating. There's only 1 unisex bathroom, and it was noticeably slick. I assume it's due to the material the floor is made from as it wasn't wet, so be mindful of this so you don't lose your footing. That bathroom itself was spacious and offered paper towels. Had there been available seating to eat at the restaurant, I would've gotten the lunch special, which I did confirm that the 2 slices you get as part of the special can be any kind of pizza (not just cheese or pepperoni). However, I opted to get a 10-inch Alfredo Pizza and a Peach Cinnamon Roll. Said cinnamon roll normally would've had a glaze but the one I purchased had cream cheese icing instead. Also, I was informed that the recipe for the cinnamon rolls had recently changed, which resulted in the cinnamon rolls being bigger. However, they also are $1 more than what the menu says (so a regular Cinnamon Roll is going to be $4, and a Special Cinnamon Roll will be $5). They said they will update the menu to reflect that price increase as soon as they can. Anyway, my pizza took 14 minutes to cook. This is an establishment that prefers you paying in cash. I don't know if they include a surcharge if you pay with a card, but I had cash to pay for my food. Before I left, I asked if they did anything special for people's birthdays. The person I asked said that as of now, they don't do anything special for people's birthdays. The pizza was the size it was meant to be, the slices weren't flimsy and held their shape, and it was overall a tasty pizza. As for the Peach Cinnamon Roll, I honestly didn't really taste the peaches. That was probably due to the cream cheese icing overpowering the peaches. However, as someone who is fond of big, dense, and not cakey cinnamon rolls, this is what I was wanting. In the end, I was satisfied with my experience at Slice & Ice.
