Incredible flights of whiskey!! Food will blow you away. Had a Reuben. In-F'n-credible!! Candace is a phenomenal bartender. Best stop by far on our trip to Tennessee!

This is absolutely a restaurant with a distillery! The menu is amazing and everything our table had was out of this world! The carnivore omelette was packed with good sized pieces of meat and full of flavor. The cheese grits were great. The other dish was the Crabcake Benedict. I was blown away about how large the crab cakes were and the flavor was unlike any crab cake I have ever had. We came here for the brunch, and it did not disappoint. This place is a must visit for their brunch, but assume other meals are equally as good. The distillery part was an after thought to be honest, and that's the reason we initially came here for!! I am trying to complete the Tennessee whisky trail, which is why I came here. This is the least memorable distillery I have been too... but again the food was amazing and worthy of coming back for. Highly recommend... but reservations would be a good idea!! Enjoy.... You won't regret the drive out here!

Quite a find with great prices and fantastic service. The ambiance of a moonshine shack at the entrance to the distillery was a fun touch, and if it wasn't raining, we would've done a tour! Well thought out tasting room with such friendly and nice staff. The $10 tasting fights was such a great introduction to the whiskey. Loved just about everything I tasted - they really have fantastic organic whiskey. I also ended up sipping on a Manhattan that was extremely tasty as well. The food here was outstanding, The fried green tomatoes and charcuterie board are great shareables, and SO good. All of the house fermented and house pickled veggies were so good and paired so nicely with the meat and cheeses. I ended up with light fare going with the spinach salad with pesto chicken, which was YUMMMMMMMMMY. So much chicken, such fresh greens and I love the sweet and savory notes. So good. The rueben I was told was also fantastic and the pork sandwich was a highlight as well! Big fan, they really are doing a great job with this distillery and I would recommend to any and all in the area!

A fun spot in a beautiful and historic part of Cannon County. The drive there is leisurely and yes rural as you pass Century Farms, historic churches, Cemeteries, and rural schools. The distillery has been in business for several years now and has moved from moonshine solely to a nice bourbon. We went today for Saturday lunch and enjoyed it immensely. Fun cocktails, decent beer selection too. I had the Pearl Mule with a strong moonshine kick. The better half had the Rosemary Lemonade. Nice presentation on both. The menu is not vast but plenty of choice among appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. We opted for the burgers--well prepared, tasty, cooked to order--but tried different sides, the man and cheese and mashed red potatoes. Both were thumbs up. Look forward to the next visit.

Happened upon this place for a friends birthday and boy it did not disappoint! I had the smoked old fashioned and the rosemary gin drink and my friend had the raspberry white chocolate. We sat at the bartender and the bartender was fantastic! I would go here frequently if I lived closer for the drinks and atmosphere alone. 10/10 would recommend.

Sun shine brunch cocktail

For a sunny Sunday we decided to take a drive to try out Short Mountain distillery's restaurant. Nestled in Cannon County Tn. It was a pleasant drive thru the countryside to get there and we really enjoyed the music and atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome. I ordered a Sun shine cocktail and I had thought it might have more lemon drop flavor but it was still pretty tasty. We ordered a chicken waffle meal with biscuits and gravy, and home fries. The order was served in about 10 minutes which gives yoU a chance to talk and look around. The waffles were good, the chicken was ok, gravy and biscuits came in a small iron pan. The home fries needed some salt and ketchup. Overall it was good but didn't impress as much as I had hoped. I wilL definitely return again and try something different. Hope to tour the distillery as well. I enjoyed the visit.

I love distillery tours and we did this one with the mixing class. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Loved learning the history of the local alcohol development and the uniqueness of the spring that feeds the Short Mountain moonshine. A very personable, engaging, and entertaining activity.

Our company, of about 10 of us, did the tour and tasting and our tour guide Jake was fantastic. We enjoyed learning about the history of the company and his humor throughout the tour. Also, he answered any curveball questions we threw at him. The staff at the bar walked us through the flight and were able to educate us on all of their products. We will definitely be back and booking more tours in the future for our company.

They do offer a tour and tasting and tell you to plan around 1-1/2 hours totally. They start on the hour and we arrived to late to join a tour and due to time constraints could not wait until the next one. Luckily we were still able to do the tasting for $18 per person ( same price as the tour and tasting!) and absolutely worth it!! We had Keely as our guide through the tasting and she was amazing! There was another bartender as well, Kalani ( spelling?) and the two of them worked amazingly together making sure everyone sitting at the bar was taken care of. The tasting included 6 and they allow you additional as well so you can try others you didn't get or just get another of the ones you enjoyed. All were really good with that smooth whiskey burn that warms from the inside out well being full of flavors! We had a hard time picking out which bottle to buy since we enjoyed them all but finally settled on one and headed to our event. Absolutely put this on the list if you are in Chattanooga!! You won't regret it!! Will absolutely go back, amazing experience!

I love me some cinnamon whiskey so I thought cinnamon would be my fave. Wrong! My fave turned out to be mint chocolate chip, and I'm not even a chocolate fan! This moonshine is very flavorful and rich in taste. I would drink it as an after dinner drink, served on the rocks but I think it would also taste great added to coffee. They also have moonshine "whiskey" in 2 flavors but these were a bit too strong for my taste and didn't really taste like whiskey although a lot of people enjoyed it. The owners are great! So approachable. Raymond the owner even pulled out a prohibition whiskey bottle to show me. Never been opened and he has been offered a hefty sum of money for it but he still keeps it. Doug - his soon - is very knowledgeable with the process and can answer any questions. I was here for an after wedding party so we had our own music and could bring our own booze in, too. Take a not, you can rent out the space for your party. Overall: highly recommend. They offer free samples so you know what you are buying.

My wife and I just finished this tour and would recommend it without hesitation. Our day started at 10:35, when we met our tour guide, Justin, and the small group we'd be spending the day with. After a brief introduction and a quick photo, we boarded a shuttle bus and got a quick look at some historical Lynchburg landmarks. Then we enjoyed lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's Restaurant. It was family-style, southern fare, and simply outstanding. We walked through town to the distillery and enjoyed a fun, fascinating, super informative tour of how Jack is made, stored, bottled, the whole thing. This tour is the one opportunity for visitors to see the inside of one of the barrel storage facilities. The day ended with a tasting session, where we explored some of the finer points of a selection of Jack Daniel's whiskeys and their individual qualities and personalities. Plus everyone received a gift bag with a framed version of the photo taken earlier in the day, some chocolates, and a bottle of Miss Mary Bobo's Hot Sauce (which I had earlier on fried Okra and it was tremendous!). It was nearly 4 p.m. by the time we were done. So I meant when I said "if you have some time." And it costs a little more. But worth every penny and every minute of time. Extra shoutout to Justin who was knowledgeable and engaging and an all around good dude.

Again, nice place and we will be back, but when you have an intimate/small setting like they do, I would make a small suggestion of being a bit more personable, and being able to keep better track of customer checks.

I like a little of everything - smoky, peaty, sweet - as long as its reasonably smooth and well balanced. Given this preference, I tend to know better than to go with cask strength whiskeys, but I tried their maple wood finished cask strength to be a good sport. And to my surprise it was just perfect - like the extra concentration (57.7% vs the standard 40%) added more flavor rather than more burn. I think it was about $100 a bottle so I grabbed one and decided to check a bag so I could bring it home - it was that good.
