First time trying Middle Ground Brewing and won't be back. This establishment needs to tweak their establishment to make it enjoyable between the food, atmosphere (inside) and prices. We arrived in the afternoon to try this local establishment. We ordered at the counter and tried the beer, root beer and a pizza and churros. I was handed an off brand of root beer $3.00 for 12 oz. and I had to ask for a glass of ice. Which I got. Note, any restaurant with beer on tap should have a soda machine or sodas on tap. The atmosphere is very sterile and and reminded me of a school cafeteria. Seemed like they catered to the kids that were running around and even to the fact that the kids were rolling their toys on our clean table after rolling it on the floor and not one parent stopped them! So when our pizza finally came after about a thirty minute wait, it was ok, I had better. It reminded me of a Tombstone frozen pizza. So far the experience was not pleasurable. Then came the dessert, churros I ordered. They were soaked as you can see in chocolate sauce which was ok, but not traditional. The worse part is that they tasted like propane! I ended up throwing them away, wasting $7.99, after trying a few bites thinking it was me..nope! I was hoping for a better experience eating local. In times like this, when you spend over $40.00 to eat out, you want more value and a pleasurable experience and a place where you would like to frequent often. Sad to say this didn't do it for me.

Murfreesboro definitely needed something like this on the residential side of interstate 24. Huge props to the owner for attempting to fill that void! The brewery is tucked away in an unassuming strip-mall beside Sam's Club and is easy to miss if you are not looking for it. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon which just happened to be during happy hour (4pm-7pm) so I was able to sample a wide variety of their drafts at discounted prices. The interior décor is simple if not a little bit bland and maybe that is something that they plan to change as they grow. There is a nice little beer garden area where you can enjoy your beverages or food outside and a majority of the patrons who were there when I visited were congregating in the beer garden. The bartender who served me was super friendly and made a few recommendations on food and beer. I enjoyed their IPA, Honey Ale and their Saison along with a turkey pesto sandwich with chips. Everything was tasty and the service was fast. I plan to come back frequently!

Friendly staff, good beer and great pizza. Pesto chicken pizza was excellent. Good vibes and outdoor picnic table seating was cool.

The place feels pretty sterile for a taproom. The staff was great. Recommended a great IPA.

He was super helpful and informative. Highly recommend this establishment for its ambiance. The pizza was better than BoomBozz Pizza. It makes it taste like Chuck-E-Cheese Pizza. The beer and pizza both delivered, and the space offers some excellent people-watching, especially when it's busy. We went over Thanksgiving weekend, so the place felt packed and energetic, which probably pushed it beyond its usual crowd level. Service was friendly and upbeat, though slower than I expect for this type of casual brewery environment. Nothing disastrous, but long enough waits that I noticed. The ambience leans "indoor picnic": * Bright lighting * Long communal tables suited for large groups * A central stack of kegs arranged in a pyramid, likely doubling as a seasonal "tree" It feels like a natural fit for happy hours, big family outings, or a group of friends meeting up. There were a few kids running around causing minor disruptions. Given the family-friendly vibe and location, I considered it more of an expected annoyance than a real problem, but it's worth noting if you strongly prefer a kid-free environment. Overall, I recommend TailGate Brewery as a casual, lively spot with good beer, good pizza, and a social atmosphere--just go in expecting some noise, a crowd during peak times, and service that leans more friendly than fast.

In the future, I would definitely stick to outdoor events here. Inside, the space is quite small, so the sound mix was very loud and actually easier to enjoy from outside. The music carried better outdoors, which ended up being a plus. Drinks were around $15 and the server was quick - we couldnt stay inside for the show and because there was smoking on the patio, we moved out to the nearby field and watched the kids play football, which worked out fine. One small heads-up for visitors: avoid sitting on the railroad tie near the seating area that is covered in oil. It will ruin your pants. The other ties are weathered and fine. Also noticed chewing tobacco left on one of the rocking chairs, which reflects more on patrons than the venue itself. The line for the food was long, we actually wanted a burger but had to leave because we stink of oil ... but we wouldn't have waited in line ... so come a little bit fed. Overall, a fun spot with a great outdoor vibe. I would return, especially for outdoor shows.

Me and a few buddies drove a couple hours to get to the disc golf park and my one buddy showed up early (10:15a ish). He met a gentleman at the gate who said the park isn't open until maybe later in the afternoon. (Website says 8a-sunset) The guy said he was the only one there and he couldn't be bothered to sit outside while we played disc golf. Ummmm what? We don't need you to sit outside or babysit us? What is it that you think we're going to do that you need to watch us play disc golf? I will NEVER go there again. Mind you, I did call and was told it would be open. Then I called a couple days before and of course, no answer. Highly do NOT recommend traveling a good distance to go there. Also, if they're going to hire some one who can't be "bothered" to help, maybe they hired the wrong person. PSA: don't work in the SERVICE industry if customer SERVICE annoys you

There were some big sporting events on and from our table we were able to clearly see several TVs. A fun and lively atmosphere! We ordered side salads and a Farmer's Market pizza. The salad ingredients were fresh and both salads were delicious. The Farmer's Market pizza had always been my favorite pizza so I was happy to see that it was still on the menu. It was just as tasty as I remembered. We both wished that we had room to share a hot chocolate chip cookie but sadly we did not. Maybe next time. Our server was very friendly and personable. The manager treated me extremely poorly and the situation escalated for no reason. They ended up calling the police and trespassing me from the property even though I did nothing wrong. I felt completely disrespected and humiliated by how it was handled. Because of how serious the situation was, I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and reported my experience to the state commissioner. No customer who spends their money at a restaurant should be treated this way. Based on my experience, I would not recommend going here.
