The name reflects its status, the GOAT! I've been a few times now and they do not disappoint! The food is unique and delicious! If you go, you have to get the home made tatter-tots, they are incredible! It's a good vibe inside, like a mix of fancy and hometown! It feels comfortable and fun! Used to be my favorite restaurant in Murfreesboro, but they changed the menu recently and removed all of their old staples. BRING BACK DEVIL ON GOATBACK PIZZA (and Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza). On a positive note the service is great. Bring back the goat back and it's 5 stars. read more

It's been a minute since we have gone to The GOAT in the day time but it was worth it. The food was good and the place was not as bustling as its night life. I like their night life too but for a brunch it was nice. The server was very attentive and helpful. The bottleless mimosa was a great and you can get choose your flavor. I don't think any of the food disappointed us this morning. It was a nice change of scenery to see the patio and gaming areas in the day light. A great vibe in Murfreesboro??? YES!! The Goat has the energy of a Friday night and the easiness of a Sunday afternoon. We started with the pizza rolls and ended with a Gyro sandwich. Drinks were yummy and the service was excellent. There is outside dining along with a fire pit and parking right beside the restaurant. The only thing I didn't care for was the fact that they split the cost of appetizers with everyone at your table. I don't agree with this rule since many times people don't share appetizers due to allergies or just difference in taste. If I don't order an appetizer I shouldn't have to pay half of someone else's order. In a town where Cracker Barrel is a night out, the Goat is a welcome escape. I also tried the appetizer plate but to be honest it was much more bland and the cheese sticks and pizza rolls were uninteresting. My friend had the 3 Shrimp Tacos and said they were very good. The restaurant is large and open with several TV's and a nice bar area. I can't say enough about the strawberry lemon drop martinis--Zac recommended them, and WOW! The homemade strawberry purée took it to the next level. So refreshing and perfectly balanced. We sat out on the patio and loved the chill bar vibes--great music, good energy, and just an all-around perfect spot for a fun night out. I am so glad I came back because the experience I had today has me already thinking about the next time I will be back. Our waitress was very nice and checked in frequently to make sure we didn't need anything. I ordered the Double Dip which had queso and black beans in it which I couldn't stop myself from scraping the bowl to get the last bit out. For my main course I had the shrimp tacos which were very filling. I thought I could do the jalapeños on it but the first bite I knew it would be too spicy so I removed them from the other tacos and they were perfect. Food was just ok. Burger way over-cooked and didn't have the pimento cheese on it. Watched it and chicken tenders sit in the kitchen window for a very long time before served. Also forgot our daughter's meal, so had to wait longer for that. Slow service, sat for a very long time waiting to pay and leave. Waited a while for refills on water and tea.
