When I came in to pick up my order, a server asked the name of the order and when I told her the name, she let me know it was her who took my order. She was super nice and my order was already in the to go bags but she double checked to make sure everything was in there. When I want diner food, this is where I travel. It's a chain restaurant but it doesn't give those vibes. Hailey was our sever and she was really good. Attentive and knows that menu very well! I went with a friend and her mom and they both enjoyed their food as much as I did. I had huevos rancheros. I always order that, it's not like the traditional ones but I like it. Very tasty and the tortilla chips are homemade! We did have the mimosas flight and that was nice. We have 4 different mimosas and they were all good. This place is consistently good and the service is also on point. Weekends tend to be a little busier than normal but that's no issue as I expect a little wait on weekends. Nothing too crazy. Waitress made eye contact with my wife never came to the table waited 15 minutes and left. They were more worried about their carryout orders. This is the 2nd bad experience with this Metro diner. My go to spot for the best Club Sandwich! I pair it with the potatoes and am impressed by the amount of food. Easily two or more meals! Stopped in here for brunch after fasting labs. My best friend ordered the Big Kahuna Hash browns and a Bloody Mary.My friend said that her meal was delicious. It was just enough food so that she was full but not overly full. I had a Western Omelette, Home Fries, Wheat Toast and a Dr. Pepper. If I would have known I was going for breakfast I would have gotten coffee. We were seated quickly and our drink orders taken. The Dr. Pepper was a little bit flat. And my friend said her mild Bloody Mary was hot, so she knows not to order it hot. Or orders were taken and brought out in a timely manner. While it's not local to the area, we love coming here for breakfast since it's served all day. The food is always consistently good and we love the diner feel! We had a group of ten. We had tried two places with over an hour wait so we tried Metro Diner and the host took it in stride and worked with the servers to get a table set up. Our server was great. They took our drink orders and returned with drinks and took our order. We had the range from avocado toast to waffles. The food was delivered as ordered and delicious. The staff are literally the most friendly people in Rutherford county. My best friend had never been here so today was the day I told em hey you looking for a good meal let's go to Metro before you go to work and that's exactly what we did. This is a place where you are definitely going to get the bang for your buck! We went during our visit to Murfreesboro. It's a cute little dinner with a traditional and modern flare. We started out with our beverages. Let me say that's the biggest cup of cranberry juice that I have gotten from a restaurant and least expensive. I ordered the Southwest Scramble Bowl. It is loaded avocado, black beans, corn, diced green and jalapeño peppers, onions, tomatoes, scrambled eggs served over hashbrown potatoes, drizzled with salsa and sour cream, and topped with green onions. Hubby had the Fried Chicken & Waffle Half a fried chicken and a Belgian waffle, topped with powdered sugar and sweet, strawberry butter. Served with our signature sweet and spicy sauce. We had about a 25 minute wait at around 11:00am on Saturday morning. The place was buzzing with people. So glad we waited, as the food was very good. I had the "Bissell" which is the traditional breakfast. 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, grits, toast or biscuit and a short stack of pancakes. The pancakes were so fluffy and light and tasted amazing. We ordered the blueberry lemon waffle for an appetizer, and though I was hesitant at first- the flavor was remarkably light and just sweet enough to not leave a heavy sugary aftertaste. After that, I got my meatloaf, pictured below. Let me just say, when I think mom's meatloaf as a kid, this is what I think- cranked up to 11. What a great find during my time in town for work. I always try to support local diners versus chains. Great service, really good portions and prices -especially with the way things are currently (inflation). I visited 3 times this past week.
