First time. Came recommended. I would come back because I don't know where else I can go and get a gluten free savory or sweet crepe. I had the original sweet crepe w/strawberries. I enjoyed it. Iced coffee was good. I was told they recently expanded. Went at peak time..around 11am on a Saturday and it was packed. Sat on newly expanded side at the counter side near the coffee pickup part. My only feedback is the coffee order callouts were obnoxiously loud. Lol. I think there might be a different approach that can be taken because sitting there was wild.
This is the most interesting avocado toast I've ever had. I like my avocado toast with alot of feta cheese and I only like salad that has cheese, tomatoes and balsamic vinegar dressing. This avocado toast had everything that I loved. I also got a white chocolate hot chocolate because I don't drink coffee and that was even amazing. The service was great. I love how they have sections for people who are people watchers and or introverts. I love the design of the restaurant. It's a coffee shop and restaurant but has more or coffee shop vibes. I also love a good spacious coffee shop so I can read a book or work on my laptop.

Modestly yet tastefully decorated place on the gorgeous Murfreesboro Square. You enter and grab a menu, then head to the counter to order. The menu has many options. The food is delivered to your table. While waiting, I noticed that the old building has a faint mold smell that would have set my wife's allergies off. I was alone on a lunch break. I ordered their Greatest American Hero burger with Cajun fries. The fries were crispy and perfectly cooked. They were great. The burger was perfectly cooked and had enough lettuce that the fresh crunch came through. Joanie's Magic Sauce was served on the side. It was good with the burger but not the fries. This was my first trip here and I can recommend it. The burger was better than average. I'd give it a 7.8 out of 10. Other than the moldy smell, I can recommend it. The condiments are in small packets on a wall, which I didn't care for, but not the end of the world.
Out running errands and stopped in for lunch. Greeted as we arrived. We grabbed a menu and walked to the counter and were greeted again. Ordered and received a table stand to guide the server to our table. As always the food is great. This location is in a historic building on the square. It is interesting to see the marks and shadows of the previous users of the building.
We've been to Joanie's quite a bit over the years. It's consistently good service and food. The staff are nice and the food comes out in a timely manner. We usually go on Saturday for breakfast before we go to the farmer's market in the square or we will stop in after the farmer's market closes. There are free street parking spaces all around the square. This is a scratch kitchen serving their full menu all day, so you can get a burger for breakfast or a crepe for lunch. They have a wide variety or Gourmet Coffees, Craft Beers, Wine and Mimosas. They also offer French Toast, Scrambles, Tacos, Sandwiches, Wraps, Crepes, 1/2 pound Gourmet Burgers and Entree Salads. You place your order at the front counter and they bring your food to the table. If you order coffee they will call your name to come and pick it up when it's ready. It can get busy, especially on Farmer's Market Saturday at lunch with above average noise level. It's definitely worth checking out for a delicious burger, breakfast or just to get a Gourmet cup of Coffee.

I've tried two different lattes from their creative menu and thoroughly enjoyed both -- robust and flavorful (none of that watered-down flavor you get at some places). Service is quick and the staff are friendly, and it's a comfortable, inviting environment -- great for meeting people or for hanging out awhile to do some work! Overall, I enjoy this space and it's definitely a spot worth checking out in Murfreesboro
Running errands in Murfreesboro and decided to try Joanie's for breakfast. We had fresh brewed coffee, specialty coffee, iced tea and coffee for drinks and Montecristo with fries, Big Dawg Burrito and Avocado Toast. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. Service was quick and friendly and the restaurant itself is clean, open floor and very relaxing. We will definitely make this a stop whenever we're in Murfreesboro.

Food Tried several different items. Bacon, Java the Nut latte, The Count of Monte Cristo, French Toasted Waffle Pancake, scrambled eggs. Everything tasted incredible! The French Toasted Waffle Pancake was the most interesting thing we tried from the menu. It really felt like multiple breakfast items at the same time. Bacon was crispy, Monte Cristo (the key was adding the preserves to the sandwich). Service When you go in, you can grab a menu then choose where you want to sit. Go up to the counter to order then they'll yell out the name on your table holder. Also, grab your napkins and silverware from this water station. Only issue we had was all the food was hot except the scrambled eggs. Felt as if they were cooked first waiting on everything else. Ambiance Cute, not too many tables, liked the interior setup. Bathrooms were clean. Water station nice feature. Overall, would definitely go back to try some of the lunch/dinner items. Entire menu is available all day.

Had Joanie's on my list for breakfast spots in Murfreesboro and happened to be in the area from this location since the Saturday farmers market is right across the street! The restaurant is a good size, has a nice farm decor vibe going on. The place looked clean and well kept from what I could tell. Upon walking in customers can grab a menu from the basket they have placed on a table. You then proceed to the front of the restaurant to place your order. They give you a placard to place on your table so they know where to deliver your food. My husband ordered the Not your mama's grilled cheese which is basically a grilled cheese with bbq chicken inside. I got the chickadilla, a bbq chicken quesadilla. Both of us enjoyed our meals. The quesadilla is definitely big enough to share with others. Service was great! The young gal that brought us our order was friendly and made sure to let us know where to get utensils and condiments. Will definitely be back to try more from their menu!
I really admire how consistent the service and quality are across all of their locations. Even with the current expansion at this spot, nothing seems to be slowing them down. My go-to drink is the Dirty Hippie--it never disappoints. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It is on the pricier side, but the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. Parking can be tricky but we always get lucky and find something around the square. read more
First walk in has the old business feel of the town, it faces the court house square. The ambiance is great but the tables and chairs could use some repair as every table we tried wobbled a lot. I did not take pictures of the inside as it is a very busy weekend here. First complaint is there is no guidance for people who are from out of town on how to order or where to go. I have been watching the out of town parents confused as well trying to figure this place out! The iPads set up to order are not sales leading or helpful. When we picked up our coffees is when we FOUND the full menus to read (AFTER we ordered). Not only did they lose sales but we did not see any meat options to add to our order! The lattes tried were a make your own and are better than Starbucks. I had the regular with sweetener (had to ask for a little more sweetener as you can not choose more than one of the same item) and prefer a light to no foam but it is not an option. The second option was the golden girl with honey and cinnamon. Good but different. The first food was the Susie Basic ($11 +$0.50 for strawberries) the crepe that is too thick for a traditional crepe, did not come filled with the strawberries or anything else it was just folded into quarters and topped with the equivalent of 4/5 whole strawberries and whipped cream on the side. The second food item was the French toasted waffle pancake ($15) this is a great concept but it was under cooked and doughy but more than enough food for a meal. It would have been better with a breakfast meat included! Over all the rating is a 3 because of service, the confusion, and the immediately asking for a tip when you order not knowing you really get no service before or after you get food! Even water is a self serve dispenser! It's a great place, different concept in food service. It wants fast food as far service but set up to be table service. After our food arrived we were directed to the silverware and napkins. No one checks on food quality or needs after you are served your food! read more

Joanie's is a nice place to grab coffee, brunch, and even dinner! I appreciate their hours since there aren't many coffee shops in the area that are open past 5, or on Sundays. My favorites from here include the Happy Harvest salad (it is FABULOUS, especially in a wrap w/chicken!) and their side of potato salad! The staff have always been kind and helpful. read more
Joanie's stays packed but the service did not take too long. I had the Joanie's Super Club with fries and it was very good. I especially enjoyed the fries. My wife had the Tom's cinnamon roll and it was very good and not too sweets. The ambiance was nice and the staff were very friendly. They have lots of coffee options to choose from as well as a very robust menu full of various sweets eats, sandwiches, burgers and more. read more

Decided to brunch today and decided it was Joanie's! We had the best time catching up with old and new friends. Our brunch turned into a 3 hour event! We enjoyed the bottomless mimosas and all all the great food! A must have - the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. A very chill and relaxing atmosphere. Thanks for not minding we were there all for hours. Come early because they get busy! read more

We've been to Joanie's several times. I've enjoyed it every time. I appreciate that they are consistent with their food quality and service. Adorable little breakfast place right in the heart of the square. My friends who live here always bring me here at least once a visit when I'm in town. I love their specialty coffee drinks- always served hot. My friends always get the burrito and share it since it is so filling. I go for the spinach and feta crepe- it's so yummy and filling. I always get 2 meals out of it. When I came on a weekend we enjoyed the Manmosa - that time we ate in and our order name was Big Foot... so fun the theme names here. Always is clean when we come in here to get food, both for dining in, or to go. Definitely will be back whenever I'm in town read more

My husband and I went here on our way out of town and it was so good!!! We found it using Yelp and hope to make our way out there again. It's located on a cute little square (much like a cute small downtown) which I love. The food and coffee were great! My husband couldn't stop talking about the bagel sandwich. We hope to bring the kids back soon and are looking forward to our next visit. read more

Small restaurant with very good food in a cute town square! The only employee I saw was nice and helpful. They also sold iced sugar cookies made by a local bakery! Those were really good too! My kids got a grilled cheese which was made with garlic, they didn't love it bc of that but I thought it tasted good. We all loved the fries! read more

Awesome Spot! Ambience: spot on with lots of rustic elements. Service: Friendly and helpful! Greeted promptly and served quickly. Coffee: Latte was Perfect! Lavender syrup () and the perfect temperature with a beautiful foam cap! Smooth and delicious! Food: it's outside my taste zone but I was pleasantly impressed with the savory crepe! I had a spinach, feta, mushroom and bacon crepe. It was so good! The crepe was a bit crispy and slightly sweet and complimented the fillings very well. I might try a sweet crepe next time -- because there will be a next time and soon! read more
