Cuuuute coffee shop; I visited here to get some fuel for the drive home from Murfreesboro. First of all...I love owls. So the name and the mascot/branding had me hooked immediately. I was so excited when I found that they sold stickers with the little owl on them. An immediate buy, lol. There's decent parking and the inside is quite spacious. This would be a great "3rd space" for hangouts, quiet work, or relaxation. Wish I had a spot with the same vibes nearer to me. The barista was super nice and happily answered my questions and made recommendations. She was patient and kind and wore a pleasant smile. I wound up ordering the bonfire mocha. It was very tasty and smooth. Maybe a little heavy on the maple flavor for me, but ultimately quite enjoyable. They have several pastries and more complicated bagel sandwiches. Tea, matcha, and pretty much any remotely common coffee beverage you can think of. Again, hard to overstate how cozy and welcoming the space feels. I'd happily return if I'm ever in Murfreesboro in the future. MTSU has a gem here! read more

Coffee Snob Approved I'm definitely a coffee snob--gas stations, hotel coffee, McDonald's... not for me. I need the good stuff. I found this cute little coffee shop called Diaper Owl (yep, unique name!) and decided to check it out. Super clean, very hipster vibe, and friendly folks. I got the Campfire Iced Latte from their specialty menu--pretty good! Not the best I've ever had, but definitely worth the drive past all the big chain coffee stops. Only thing I'd change is their breakfast snack options--could definitely level up there. But overall, happy I tried it! Always love discovering new coffee spots. read more

Now this is a come-and-stay-awhile kind of coffee shop -- which is great for all of you students over at MTSU! But really, great for anyone on all counts. It is a comfortable space with lots of seating, and warm, quirky decor. I tried the lemon lavender tart and the bonfire latte which were both delicious, and thoroughly enjoyed some good reading time. She's not basic. It's such a relief to have a coffee shop with real personality in a town dominated by chains and sterility. I do lean toward European-like experiences so I suppose I was a little swayed when I first walked in the door. The place is inviting and the seating was cool. I loved the option to try multiple drinks by way of a flight. The potato pasties are yummy, yummy things. To the owners - nice work on this place. This is the coffee shop Murfreesboro needed. All we seem to get around here are chains and so this place is a must visit. The food is made from scratch every day. I had a bagel (made fresh every morning) and it was amazing with the maple spread. I also had the campfire latte (I believe that's what it's called) and it was great! The atmosphere is also exactly what I'd hoped Murfreesboro would eventually get. It's dark and cozy and feels like you're in an English pub! The owner was so nice and helpful and all the staff we interacted with were awesome! This will be my new go to spot! read more

This is by far my favorite coffee shop to date. Such a cool vibe inside with fun various areas to get comfy and relax with the best cup of coffee and a pastry too! We were welcomed in right away and she provided us with recommendations since it was our first visit. We tried out the vanilla latte and the Bee Hive which were served at the perfect temperature for immediate enjoyment and the cheddar bagel..... the BEST bagel I've ever had! I really like the ambiance of Dapper Owl. The coffee I have had there has been very good as well. The reason for the lower score though is that the two times I've been there, they have been sold out of food. I've really been wanting to try their hand pies and while it's great they are selling out, it's also not ideal especially when you are driving 20+ miles to visit. The Dapper Owl may be a bit out of the way and off the beaten path, but well worth the visit. At the counter I met Hannah and Autumn who were very friendly, took my order, and provided excellent recommendations and service. I ordered an Americano (the medium is a 3-shot drink), blueberry muffin, and a chicken Oggie (hand pie). The coffee was good and hot...I would probably add another shot next time. The blueberry muffin was for me "old school"...a muffin loaded with blueberries, mildly sweet, and no extra crumbles or sugars on top. I really enjoyed the flavors of the cake and blueberries...mild, fresh, and not overly sweet. The Oggie is really good and I will make the trek out there to try the Cornwall (beef, potato, & onion) next. The pastry was light, flaky, and didn't get soggy from the filling. I enjoyed the filling and would characterize it as "earthy" while the gravy really gave the filling a nicely balanced flavor. The décor here is welcoming and comfortable and I love the variety of seating options. It was a pleasure meeting Tracy...it's always nice when the owners come out and mingle with the customers. Gives them an opportunity to learn more about what their customers might like and look for. Great food and wonderful service!!! read more

Genuinely, I mean it when I say that every single person in Murfreesboro needs to visit this coffee shop. The decor is amazing. It feels homey the vibes are immaculate. After me and my boyfriend visited twice they already remembered our names and the entire team is just incredibly kind. The drinks are amazing and you have a mix of the classic coffee shop drinks and food but also some options only found here (you do absolutely need to try one of their hand pies.) I'd recommend a favorite drink but to be honest everything I've had is phenomenal. Over all an amazing experience every time I've come (about fifteen times at this point) and just the accepting, aesthetic, cute little coffee shop everyone should be frequenting. read more

Ya'll need to run and not walk to Dapper Owl. They introduced their Coffee Flights this week. You can get their Signature lattes or you can customize your own coffee flight. I customized mine with their Free Fallin, Lavender Honey Latte, Mocha and Pumpkin Spice w/ Salted Caramel. And they come with chocolate chip cookie pieces. This place is definitely my favorite place in town. Everyone is so nice, if you have any questions, Megan, Emily and Autumn would be more than happy to assist you. I met their owner Tracy and she is just as amazing, they honestly make you feel like family. Their food is delicious, they have homemade scones, pumpkin muffins and s'mores bars that are all delicious. I also have tried their spinach and ricotta hand pie that is just as yummy. We went to check it out and they still had 2 hours and 40 minutes before they were to close and they had no food items left and to be honest there iced coffees were not that good at all to spend $20.53 on 3 small coffees.
