I don't eat at BJs often, but when I do, the experience is usually the same: standard food, good service. I was in town visiting family and we had such an underwhelming experience at this location. They were out of many menu items which the server failed to disclose from the beginning, I was served the incorrect beverage, my brother in laws food came out lukewarm, the server did not offer refills on any beverages and barely passed by our table. The restaurant itself was not too busy at the time, the restroom smelled gross, like mildew and parts of the floor was slippery - a young girl slipped and fell walking out of a stall to the sink. The staff here aren't that friendly either, a staff member was cleaning a table and bumped into me as I was walking by and didn't say anything to me at all. Needless to say, I was disappointed with the overall experience. Should've gone somewhere else, definitely not worth the $$. I visited BJ's when they first opened here and never went back...I just wasn't impressed. I was really craving a Wedge Salad and a friend said they serve one so I decided to try them again. My server Kayla got me set up with a Hefe while I checked things out. Decent Happy Hour here with $5 pints and $7 appetizers. I ordered the Chicken Pot Stickers and the Steakhouse Wedge...I would rate the dining experience to be "average". The Pot Stickers were OK but the rice sticks they piled on top were annoying {hard to eat} and removing them is a pain. The slaw was a nice feature and had a good flavor while the ginger sauce didn't have much flavor. The Wedge was a weak imitation...the lettuce was crisp and fresh but the tomatoes were diced small, purple onions shaved thin, and the bacon had little flavor. There was minimal Blue Cheese chunks and the dressing was weak. The steak was tender and cooked medium, but the chimichurri flavors clashed with the wedge flavors. Came here on a Wednesday at 2:00 pm. It was dead. Here's the good and bad. Good: Ambiance, the beer was phenomenal (had the hefeweizen), and the service was great. Bad: the food was mid. Had "hot" wings that tasted like my mom's baked chicken when I was a kid, and the artichoke dip had a hard crust cheese top. The bathroom smelled like a sewage plant. Off the menu Pineapple Margarita has never failed! Sounds boring but those are my go to drinks. As for food, they have such a range of food types that even a big crowd can be satisfied. My daughter and I were staying at a hotel down the road, and we were starving! I know this is a chain, but we had never been to one. We shared the nachos, and they were good! After cancelling, the waitress walked out with an email printout from DoorDash (regarding my order cancellation), so Lo and behold they did get my order. They were out of everything to make most of my order, so I just left. The waitress was nice but told me they were super busy. I looked around, only half the place was full, so hire more staff, manager, if you can't handle a half full restaurant. Also, order more inventory and interface with DoorDash better. This is a nice looking establishment with a warm ambiance and if you sat at the bar it offers great view of tvs. I visited the establishment 3/9 and was very unimpressed. I did order an old fashioned (very basic) and Tray has a sweet attitude but could definitely work on being more attentive. I had to request a water and flag another server down for napkins. I order the medium well steak that came out well done along with shrimp scampi which was ok. From the time my food was brought out no-one checked on me for about 15mins (at an almost empty bar) I was ready to just cash out and leave by the time I was asked how my food was. We've been twice and impressed with the service, food and ambiance. I also like the selection of beers. Fries are hot, crispy and plentiful! (Reheating for 4 minutes in a convection oven restores them to their magnificence, should you take them home.) I've had both a burger and steak - both cooked to perfection. We've also enjoyed an appetizer - the avocado egg roll is tasty be messy - and a desert - the cookie sampler was great to too much for two people! I stopped by this location while in Murfreesboro for work As with all of the BJ's locations I have been to, this location is large and open with lots of flat screen TV's. Windows and overhead/garage doors provide quite a bit of natural light. The food is good. I had the BBQ Tri-Tip Sliders & fries. They have 8-10 house brand beers that are brewed off site, and 20ish taps of other craft beers. On this visit I had the Piranha Pale Ale, and a Nutty Brewnette Brown Ale. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was attentive and friendly, and checked in often BJ's is pretty consistent from one location to the next, you always know that you are going to have a good experience. read more

Not one to usually leave bad reviews but haven't been impressed with this BJ's location. I'm from Southern California where there are several of these and this place just isn't the same in regards to quality of food or service. Most times I've gone there hasn't been a long wait which is good and I wanted to wait until I went a few times to leave a review. Went back for the 3rd time today and our "deep dish" pizza was hardly a deep dish pizza and silverware was dirty. During my second visit here we sat down and it took over 15 min for someone to come and start serving us. The first time I visited was right after they opened so ill leave out the details and not let the effect my judgement. Lastly, today they were out of their seasonal beer and spooky pizookie. Not bad. Not great either. My appetizer had a hair in it. It was replaced with one without it. For the entree, we ordered steak. Our party intended to try the Prime Rib special, but they ran out. So we ordered the rib eyes and a filet. It didn't go so well after that. The temps were all wrong. Since it was a late dinner and already had one issue, I didn't want to make too much of a fuss and ate it. But then everything tasted a tad salty. The vegetables, the sauce on the steak, and even the mushrooms and onions were all salty. I don't want to bring down my experience, but when that check came out...OMG I can't believe mediocre food is so expensive. We were never provided with the cutlery and napkins. I have now visited BJ's twice and was disappointed on both occasions. The first time I decided to visit for a dessert after a friend had urged me to try one of their classic "pizookies". After being seated, we waited for 20 minutes without being served. There were other tables being served, and when we asked someone walking by if we could place our order, we were told that they would grab our server, but to no avail. After a few more minutes, we decided to leave instead of continuing to wait. The second time I visited was for a coworker's birthday. I came in wanting to redeem BJ's experience, but I was disappointed. When our food arrived, one of the members of our party had to point out to our waiter that her food hadn't arrived, and she had to wait 10 more minutes for her plate. When we were ready to leave, it was a struggle to get our waiter's attention to ask for the check. I had hoped that the food would make up for the service, but that was not the case. One of the sandwiches ordered was nearly burnt, the salmon was slimy, and my chicken was undercooked. I really wanted to love BJ's, but it's unlikely I'll ever visit again. read more

So this BJ's redeemed my experience with BJ's after a really bad visit at the one in Huntsville (see review). I would definitely return to this location again. The food was hot and fresh. We ordered to go so can not speak to the eat in experience. But my lanta our to go was delicious. I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and coleslaw. Both the chicken and fries were fresh from the grease. The meat was juicy and flavorful. My mom ordered the pizza and side salad. She said this was one of the best pizzas she had. Good job! We were driving back from Florida and spent the night in Murfreesboro. There were a lot of places to choose from and we decided to give BJ's a try based on a review of their menu. The inside of this place is really nice with a beautiful bar and very comfortable booths in the bar area. Happy Hour prices were really good for House Wines and 1/2 off on some of the apps. The Chicken Won Tons were delicious, I thought they tasted more like beef/pork, it must have been the seasoning. They had a bit of a char on one side which I think added to the flavor. I ordered the Avocado Egg Rolls as I had never had anything like that before and was curious. Avocado smashed on toast with salt and pepper is delicious. Avocado inside an egg roll that is fried is not delicious. The crunchy bite of the egg roll is ruined by the mush of flavorless avocado. Not sure this would ever be good. My wife ordered the Prime Rib sandwich and really liked the meat, however, the bread was a bit stale. The Coleslaw that came with it was terrible - had a real bitter taste to it and with large dices of coleslaw. Here dinner salad was good. I was excited about the Shrimp, Chicken and Andouille Sausage Jambalaya over pasta (which was my request versus rice pilaf), however, the spice flavor was off. I'm not sure what it was but I suspect it was spiced with Cayenne Pepper which I don't find as interesting as something like Tony Chacheres. Service at the restaurant was excellent. I saw someone with a plate of ribs they looked good. I would give BJ's a second chance because of the service and ambiance and try a few different entrees. read more
