In my previous review, I intended to try this place again because there will be the occasional off day. Ordered a CHOP CHOP BLUE SALAD with chicken for carryout. The salad was packed well with the dressing on the side. The staff was friendly and the service was efficient. The salad was fresh and crisp and the blue cheese vinagerette dressing was wonderful. The grilled chicken was nicely seasoned but I have to withhold the fifth star after having to extract something harder than grilled chicken from my mouth. Waldo's was just above average. Nothing special. Chicken was tender and had a good mild flavor. The list of add-on flavors was very nice. Def did not taste like frozen chicken strips thawed and thrown on a plate. Shoe string fries were average. Potato wedges are def preferred. Beer list is adequate but not spectacular. Did not have any of the other premium sides nor deserts. Maybe next time. Service was quick and extremely friendly. With a small hiccup of switched side orders, but quickly corrected. Manager came by (at least i think it was, no name tag, or introduction) asked how everything was and glaringly walked away. Just a odd encounter honestly. All in all they appear to try and set it up like a five guys with the fresh potatoes and buns on display but the atmosphere just came up short with all the nats flying around. After visiting a few other locations, I was thrilled to see Waldo's was opening a location closer to home! We visited on a busy Friday night - the parking lot and drive thru were full, and the line to order nearly went out the door. My friend and I shared the 6 finger feast with potato wedges and tomato cucumber salad and loaded queso. The chicken plate came out steaming hot, and the sides were delicious. We tried the rooster sauce, a sweet chili sauce, but decided to eat most of our food sauce-free due to the perfectly spiced chicken. The only hiccup during our visit was that our queso arrived 20 minutes after our food. When it arrived, we were able to get it to-go. We also noticed that the location of the drink station creates a lot of traffic between the register, kitchen, and bar. Will definitely be back once they've been open a bit longer. read more

I ordered the FRIED 1/4 DARK plate with Mac and cheese and fries for pickup. Pickup was not very efficient. I waited a long time. I believe there was miscommunication between with my pickup order. They did make up for it though. The food itself was great. Chicken was fried perfectly, juicy, and flavorful. Mac and cheese and shoestring fries were also yum. I have tried the location in west Nashville prior to this and my experience there was not great. The food was so bland. However it was a completely different food experience at the Murfreesboro location. I would return. read more

So let's talk about how I went to this new chicken spot in the Boro and it was excellent. Yes I ordered the Fried Chicken which came with fresh cut fries and a choice of sides. Another good option was the chicken tenders which my daughter said was very good. You could also choose a dipping sauce. The service was very good as I was greeted and they had someone delivering orders as well as checking on the customers. It's an open seating place with a covered patio if you wish to dine outside. I decided to visit is Waldo's Chicken & Beer today about 12:45 PM. I was hesitant at first because this place was packed. The line was from the register to the door. Despite being very busy, the line moved fairly quickly, and our food did not take very long at all to come out. I ordered the four piece chicken tender box with french fries and slaw, and an order of their onion rings. The tenders were not super huge, but they were definitely packed with flavor. Their signature sauce is definitely a hit. Their french fries were very good, just lots of smaller pieces. The slaw was OK. Now the onion rings on the flipside are huge. An order of six cost about six dollars, but these onion rings are monstrosity. Each onion ring is between three-quarter inch to an inch in height and are about the size of a palm. They definitely pair well with the signature tenders sauce. I will say that all the employees were very friendly. Additionally, this cool little restaurant has a very upbeat ambience. This location deserves 5 stars just for their efficiency in the drive thru. The drive thru moves fast without compromising the integrity of their food and service. My go to now is the chopped chicken salad. The portion size is huge and worth the price. I substitute the dressing for honey mustard instead of the blue cheese vinaigrette it comes with. New favorite chicken tendies! No seed oils, but instead, beef tallow. The chicken tenders were so tasty and juicy! Their breading on the chicken is also so delicious. I really liked their dipping sauces because I can tell they're made in house. Service was great and everyone was so nice. We especially liked the very sweet lady at the bar! It was fun getting to sample the beers. So tasty! The atmosphere is also fun and family-friendly. I love that this is right up the road from us. I decided to try Waldo's for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I was hesitant at first only because I'm not a fan of fried food. I was happy to see some healthy and lower calorie options on the menu. I had the rotisserie chicken sandwich. It tasted really good, but the portion of meat was pretty small. They have counter service. After ordering the food came out to our table pretty quickly. It's totally casual and it looked they had a good selection of beer. They also serve cocktails. There's a new chicken place in town ya all need to try! First time trying Waldo's Chicken and Beer today and won't be the last! From the minute we walked in I was impressed with the decor. The restaurant had plenty of booths and a lot of tables in the center of the room. There is a real nice bar you can enjoy as well. We ordered the chicken basket with bar b wye sauce and fries and my husband ordered the chicken strip sandwich and fries. The breading on the chicken strips was really good! The chicken was moist and the pieces were pretty big. There were ample enough fries as well. My husband's chicken sandwich had a sauce on the sandwich which enhanced the flavor overall. The portions were plentiful. While there the manager came to our table and greeted us. She talked about the locations and told us the chicken is cooked in beef fat. That was interesting. She talked about the Mac and cheese and brought us a sample of it and a couple of biscuits. Both were very good!! We were not disappointed the meal was very good and the price was reasonable as well. You need check your scheduler being as though he always schedules employees on their days he KNOWS they cannot work! My wife, daughter, and I each had the 4 piece chicken tender basket. The tenders were delicious. The breading was crispy and savory. The variety of sauces were awesome. The fries were delicious. Don't know a lot about tallow, but it made those fries so tasty. I had the Mac and Cheese. It was creamy and delicious. Also, the service was extraordinary. Servers were moving quickly, whether cleaning or delivering food. We loved our meal and will be back. read more
