Got seated promptly, but after about 10 minutes we had to ask another server where ours was. He promptly brought us water and found our server. She seemed a little preoccupied with something else , we had to repeat our drink order twice until she got it. No drinks but she came back for our food order. Fried fish with fries for me Turkey Swiss Avocado Grill for the wife. Ordering Pretzel bites for an appetizer. Drinks came shortly after. The Pretzel bites were very good. Chewy and not too salty. The cheese dip was ok but could have been better. Meals came over, wife's sandwich was missing the remoulade and the mayo that she asked for. Once she got the dressing and tried her sandwich it was good. She had coleslaw for a side which was also good. My fried fish was ok. The batter was excellent, but the fish itself was "mushy ". It lacked texture and flavor and was greasy. We never even had the opportunity to order dessert seeing that our server brought us the check when we were halfway thru our meal. If you're going to order a drink on the Roxy, be prepared to pay extra for the ice. Which I feel is ridiculous. On Veterans Day, many places have a promotion for vets; Drake's was very generous. Despite the promotion, there was no wait for a table for two. Our server was "in training" and other than an occasional check-in by another server we would not have known. Our server was very attentive and proactive with drink refills. I had the salmon which was cooked just right with a side of broccoli and my wife had the fish and chips. The fish had great taste but lacked the crunchy bite we prefer. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. It's a sports bar and grill and very much has that vibe. We've always had a good experience at this location. Drake's is a nice little spot in Murfreesboro and I can't say enough good things about the pretzel bites... however! Service was pretty slow and I understand it was a little busy inside but it took quite a while to get our food and drinks. The queso burger was... nothing to write home about. Not a bad spot at all. We came on a Friday evening so we expected it to be packed. It was about a 45 minute wait to get seated. The service was kind of slow for how busy they were so that was to be expected. They had a pretty big menu with different things on there. I got their steak and California roll combo. I really didn't have any complaints on my California roll. It was rolled nicely and tight. I felt they did good on it. Our food came out kind of warm/cold. My steak and fries were pretty much almost to the cool side. Tried Drake's out for the first time this past weekend. The parking lot was packed, but we were seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered sushi which I was surprised at how good it was. We also ordered a burger and this is where the 4/5 stars came in. Great place with a diversed menu for everyone. It's a pretty big place with a cozy chill vibe. Love the warm fireplace and decor. The food served as both our palette. I know you're asking why sushi? We were also curious so we had to try. It was actually pretty good. All the food was good. I don't think we left any crumbs. The service was awesome our server was very attentive and easy going. The drinks were great! We are definitely going back and trying out other dishes as well as the beer tower. I was told the fish sliders were good but we ordered so much food and drinks for only 2 we couldn't fit anymore in. We've been to Drakes in Cool Springs and had a so-so experience but we decided to give this one a whirl after I was out in Mt Juliet showing a house and then looking at a propperty in Lebanon off of 840. Didn't want to wait any longer as the sun was down and it was getting cool and I hadn't eaten so I met my wife and my daughter and son in law to enjoy some food and fellowship! Here's what we found: Ambiance: Sports bar theme but super clean (newer location) and lively as it was a Friday evening! Food and Drink: Food was good, ample portions and hot when it came out - did take a little longer than usual but that happens based on how full they are. Drinks were less than good..they were out of the IPA i wanted and the once they brought me was grainy because they didn't ch age the keg and tried to pour the bottom of the keg where the sediment is...but after a while I got a new one and it was better.. Prices: Average for this level sports bar - not too high but not cheap. Beers are too high just plain and simple - liquor is always a huge profit but making a pint $8+ dollars is just robbery! Service: Our server was nice but a bit absent minded and lackluster with follow up to be honest. We weren't high maintenance but some lack of refills and caring for sone details that were requested of food was disappointing. Overall: Still a good place to get food. I'd push for happy hour if possible if your going to drink but none the less a solid choice for a sports bar in an easy location to get i and out of in Murfreesboro! Keep Munching!!! read more

My friends and I stopped by here for a late lunch early dinner, note to self, they were super busy because it was college football on all of the televisions... We were there about an hour because we were not interested in watching the games. We were able to get a high top table very quickly. Our server came by and got our drinks order. 3 iced sweet teas. The first round of tea didn't taste like it had any sugar in it. The second round was on point. There was a Pattie Melt ordered, the A Brunch BLT, a Surf and Turf roll and a Sunset roll ordered. The food was delicious and we all left satisfied. The music was loud enough that you could hear it but not have to yell to be heard. Paid a visit to Drake's with my daughter, they just opened last Thursday so they are still working out the "kinks" and training staff. First...this place is HUGE, deceiving based on how it looks from the outside. We put our name on the list for a 30 minute wait and sat outside. One of the managers came outside sharing samples of their Crab Rangoon Roll...impressive dish. Great flavors, warm and crispy, and the sweet chili sauce was delicious. We were seated and our server Bailey got our drink orders while we looked over the menu. Baily was very patient with us trying to figure things out and we decided on the Fried Pickles for an appetizer, the All American Mini Burgers with sweet potato fries, Mushroom Swiss burger and as a side the Blue Cheese and Apple salad. My daughter loved the pickles, I'm personally not a fan of fried pickles but the batter is really good and the ambrosia ranch dipping sauce is friggin' incredible. The Mini Burgers were really good with sauteed onions added...the name "Mini" is misleading as these are double patty burgers and hefty! Sweet potato fries were very good with a nice crispy exterior and a solid sweet potato flavor. The Mushroom Swiss burger was packed with mushrooms and the burger was good but seemed to be missing something. I finally figured out there was no sauce so I grabbed some of the ambrosia ranch dipping sauce and WOW...great flavor enhancement and something I would add to any sandwich here. The Blue Cheese and Apple side salad ($2 upcharge) is well worth it and I would enjoy this as a salad all on its own. This is one of the best "specialty" salads I've had in a long time. Next time I will get this with grilled chicken...this salad is that darn good! This place is in training so there are many more servers than normal along with trainers getting everyone up to speed. EVERYONE from the greeters, servers, trainers, and managers were extremely friendly and made you feel welcome. Our server Bailey took excellent care of us and we met Chaz...one of the partners who chatted with us about the place and he seemed very proud of what they have opened here. Not a bad place the vibe is kind of cool however it's only so much you could do with burgers and there seems to be burgers or Dyme-A-Duzin burgers get more expensive as we build more restaurants so there's not a really good bargain to meet the deal so it makes it hard to pick you know where I would go for for a burger and a beer however, the service was decent. The decor was cool overall cool vibe Was expecting something more of their own for the experience that was different than say the other restaurants around Murfreesboro, but overall, I would come back. Eh, I usually don't review restaurant chains but I've never been to or heard of Drakes. You going to get what you expect out of these big chain restaurants. Loud overstimulating environment, semi affordable prices, a million TVs and a slightly below average burger choice. Just wish Murfreesboro added some diversity in what it has to offer besides another large chain restaurant. Nothing against Drakes but there is a lot better options for foodies in the area. Based on the awful quality of our take-out order a few days ago, Drakes desperately needs to improve its offerings! We ordered the Quesadilla, which was overcooked and quite dry, even uneatable. Frankly, less than half of it was consumable; we resorted to scavenging our refrigerator to replace the late-night meal. In addition, we bought the Chicken Asada Tacos, which was even worse. The tortilla shells were hard, seemingly microwaved, which rendered them brittle and absolutely uneatable as well. Buyer beware if you anticipate that the order comes with grilled onions and peppers; there were a few overcooked peppers and one or two pieces of onion included. To make matters even worse, the included guacamole was practically black, while the chicken was dried out and extremely salty. Sadly, all of the lettuce included had been frozen, consequently unusable too. I tried to salvage the meal by discarding the wraps and chopping up the nasty chicken to eat with chips that we had at home. Overall, we are hard-pressed to provide the "meh" rating! Regretfully the meal fell real short of the $34.10 costs. read more

Wait time can be long but they do a great job on keeping tables full and have a great system you can view on your phone to see when you'll be seated. We had salads and burgers which were good.
