The food was absolutely delicious. I wish I could've eaten more. The quantity and quality were both above my expectations. They also have a house made jelly, which was very good to add a little sweet to my savory. Atmosphere was quiet enough that you could carry on a conversation and not shout over music. Tried this place for the first time and had the egg plate. Little different than most sit down places as you order at the counter there are no waiters or waitresses. Fine by me less overhead and no pressure to tip even though I did. Owner took my order and was friendly and helpful helping me find the coffee dispenser and tableware. Utensils are plastic and food came on a paper plate again ok by me no dishwashers needed keeping costs down. Main thing was food was excellent eggs cooked perfectly bacon was crisp how I like it hash browns were not as crispy as I like but owner said he would cook them the way I wanted and offered to replace mine. Price was reasonable compared to some spots where breakfast for one can be 20 bucks or more with tip. I will be back to try other options like biscuits and gravy and breakfast sandwiches. Just happened upon this restaurant for lunch one day. I love eggs, so the name of the restaurant got my attention. Inside, the atmosphere is inviting and clean. Service extremely friendly. Price could've been a little less, but when I received my salad and cup of chicken salad, I was 100% okay with the price. The quality of my meal was exceptional and the quantity quite generous. I would have liked real silverware instead of plastic. But outside of the plastic utensils, I enjoyed everything about my experience. I'd go here again for lunch or to try their breakfast. First timers here! Overall rating is easily 4/5. We went late morning on a Monday and there was only one other table occupied. The service and hospitality was great & the food was up there with taste and flavor as well. The reasons I gave 4/5 stars is the paper plates and plastic utensils. Additionally, I do feel like the prices are slightly high, we spent $52 on what we ordered (photos included) and while the food as good, we spent more than anticipated on this type of breakfast. But outside of that, it was a good experience. Overall, we'll probably be back to try some different stuff. If you're in the area, it's worth giving it a try. read more

Service is efficient. I did not like my breakfast served on paper plates. I guess that is one method of reducing costs. I ordered the vegi omelet. It was served with plenty of veggies. The breakfast potatoes are seasoned well and did taste delicious. I don't believe their toast is toasted in a toaster. I believe it is cooked on the grill which I am not a fan as it ruins the flavor of the toast. I wasn't a fan of their coffee but I can be a snob when it comes to my coffee . read more

9/16/23 Today's review is dated because I am going back to try more items and maybe revise my review. The experience was very good, including the food, ambiance and service. There were also several puzzlements that I could not figure out. I will talk about them first, then get into the expected reviews. Coming from Las Vegas, I could not figure out if this mean they were top restaurateurs on the strip,or a local favorite. In any case, I figured it might be good. Their Google review showed 4.8* with 49 reviews yet they have not been reviewed on Yelp! I'm the first. In their history, they talk about have a restaurant for nine years and boasted about a similar rating for a restaurant that closed in 2019. Did their old restaurant carry over to this one? Also, the photos for this restaurant did not match the decor and images of food and how it was served. The chairs had casters only on the front wheels. Also as a clue that they are brand new is that at 8:30, the place was empty on a Monday. On to food quality. I really liked it. My order was the Three Meat Omelet that came with a place-mat sized serving of hash browns and toast. It was too much food. When my wife accompanies me on the next visit, I will ask for a plate to share. The omelet had a nice feature that I liked but was unusual. It was slightly caramelized. I liked that because it added to the presentation and mouth feel. As should be done, the hash browns were unsalted for the customer to season to taste. One reason I will return is so that I can try waffles or pancakes. Breakfast is difficult to make unique to stand out. Eggs are eggs, bacon is bacon, toast it toast. Chicken and waffles were on the menu, but the other southern standard, biscuits and gravy was not. Also missing are Eggs Benedict and the creative variations those invite. The coffee was very good. Too many times I describe the ambiance as light and airy, but this also added a touch of comedy. Artwork in dining area was cartoon renditions of the food and it made me smile. In the restroom (yes) there were two comical pieces of art. "Elvis as a Houndog" and "The Blues Brothers as a Cat and Bulldog" lightened my visit to the Necessary Room. The music they played sucked because it was not my style. Someone was signing along with it and they were not very good. (I am an experienced singer.) Both the chef and the server were very nice and polite and kept checking on me to see if I needed anything. This was not a difficult task because I was the only diner. The bill came to more than I expected, but given the quality and quantity of the food, it was a fair price. I could not verify their statements about diversity or inclusion because I was the only diner. Their story is great, but I would have preferred washable plates and cutlery. It would be more in line with other points in the story and would show sensitivity to our environment instead of filling the landfills. I can't wait to go back and see if they draw more custoners and so I can try other dishes. read more

The restaurant needs some work for sure. There was no sign upon entry letting us know if we should sit or order and no one was working the register to greet us or tell us what to do. Another customer told us to review the menu on the wall and order at the register. After looking at the menu someone finally came over and greeted us. The prices were a bit shocking they were so high but I thought it might be good so I stayed. Turns out I was wrong. The food was ok but it was just what I would make at home for myself and tasted a little bland. The food was also served on paper plates and had plastic cutlery so I know I didn't have to pay for a dishwasher so I'm not sure why the prices were so high. $15 for an omelet that wasn't even made correctly, it was just egg with chunks thrown in while it was cooking and cheese melted on top. Overall not a great experience, not to mention the health violations we witnessed while waiting for our food. Not sure how they got a high score unless it was a new hire. read more
