This part is five star: We have eaten here before & I always love the food & service. Good selections for breakfast...whether you want a traditional breakfast, something sweet (any of their French toast items are delicious) or savory. Today I had the farmhouse hash; also highly recommend the steak chimichurri hash on special menu right now (had that last time). My husband recommends the Chickichanga. Today though I would rate service a 3: first time ever for not so great service. We ordered the Million Dollar Bacon (appetizer), as we usually do & then placed our orders. I also asked for a water (we both had coffee already). When our waitress brought our plates out, my husband asked where the Million Dollar bacon was. She said she'd go check. She brought it to the table & said it was sitting there. I asked about my water & she left. Our bacon was COLD...assuming it had been sitting the whole time while our entrees were being made. Couldn't even complain because we never saw her again until we were finished & got our bill. I never got my water either. Again, this is not the norm for service there. We eat at this location a lot. The food is great here. The service is great, especially the managers. Everyone seems to have a smile on their faces as we walk in. The ambiance is great. The food smells so good. The only thing I'd recommend is checking your order before you leave. It always seems like with my or my wife's order something is always missing but regardless the team always makes it right. Mistakes happen and they correct those mistakes every time. read more

Having to downgrade my previous review of this place as it is so expensive. Be prepared to pay 20 plus dollars for breakfast here especially if you tip reasonably. Food is good but portions are not that great eggs are small and you can get better value at a place like Twin Yolk. Nice concept and menu but pricing has gotten unreasonable so I visit here less often. read more

Highly recommend First Watch if you're looking for a breakfast spot in the 'Boro! My family and I tried it for our first time today and we were all impressed. Make sure you arrive early because they get busy! We had a 30 minute wait for a party of 4 around 10am. Next time we'll make sure to come earlier and hopefully beat the crowd. We all had good things to say about the food though. Our party shared the bacon and cheese cornbread. SOOO delicious! Very light and airy with just the right amount of bacon and cheese. I got the classic eggs Benedict and a side of biscuits and gravy, my husband ordered the Chickichanga. Both of us liked our dishes! I will say that the hollandaise sauce on mine was a bit too lemony though. But I did really like the biscuit and gravy. The potatoes I got with my main dish were nice and crispy too. Our waitress may have been spread thin with how busy they were but she did take a bit to come around initially to take our order. They also completely missed the sauce for my husband's Chickichanga dish and our waitress was nowhere to be found for quite some time so we had to flag down a different waitress for assistance. Then when it came time to get the check we waited for a bit. But again, they were busy since it was a weekend morning so that was likely the cause. Hopefully next time it won't be as bad. My husband and I have visited this location twice. We came back today (7/19) around 9:30 a.m. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing. Although it was busy, we sat in our booth for 5-8 minutes without a single server stopping by to greet us, introduce themselves, or even offer water or coffee. Meanwhile, the empty booth directly in front of us was seated after us, and a waitress immediately came over to introduce herself and bring them water. I flagged down a nearby employee and asked if she knew who was assigned to our table. She said, "Let me go get them," but moments later she walked right past us without making eye contact or saying a word. After waiting a few more minutes while multiple employees continued to pass our table, my husband and I decided to leave. I've never felt so ignored at this restaurant. Whether it was poor communication or something else, the experience left us feeling invisible and unwelcome. We won't be returning. read more

We tried the new First Watch here on the south side of Murfreesboro and it was an enjoyable experience. The food was wonderful, fresh, hot, and delicious. When we arrived there was a wait, estimated at twenty minutes. We were seated in about ten minutes. Under-promise and over-deliver is a practice I like. I visited the First Watch on Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro today during my lunch break to place a simple to-go order, and unfortunately, my experience with the first employee at the register was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was inconveniencing her simply by ordering in person. There was no line behind me, yet she acted as though I should have placed my order online instead of allowing me to order at the counter. I began by ordering a beverage, but before I could finish telling her everything I wanted, she abruptly walked away. Another employee stepped in to help me, but when the first employee returned, she continued to be dismissive, before I had the opportunity to finish ordering. Even after returning, she chose to help customers behind me before allowing me to complete and pay for my order, despite the fact that I had been waiting first and was on a limited lunch break. Thankfully, the shorter blonde employee recognized what was happening. She was kind, patient, and genuinely professional. She took the time to ask if I needed anything else, got the fruit cup I wanted, apologized for the experience without being prompted, and even insisted that I not pay for the fruit. That small act of kindness completely changed what could have been an even worse experience. She demonstrated exactly what customer service should look like. As I was leaving, I also heard her telling the other employee not to walk away from customers before they've finished ordering and to give them a chance to complete their order. That confirmed I wasn't imagining the situation. This review isn't about getting free food, it isn't about the fruit cup. It's about how customers are treated. The tall black haired employee should not be the first person greeting guests. Her attitude was dismissive, impatient, and unwelcoming from start to finish. The only reason I'm giving more than one star is because of the professionalism and kindness shown by the shorter blonde employee. She deserves recognition for stepping in and treating me with respect when her coworker would not. I hope management addresses this because first impressions matter, and today, one employee almost guaranteed that I would never return. The "elevated egg sandwich" was a single cooked egg that was "ground floor," not elevated. We were here for my son's Birthday breakfast and it was a regrettable choice. The food was ready on time and the service at the restaurant was very friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend first watch because they are consistently okay there's nothing great about it unfortunately It's just somewhere good to go Just good I'm not saying that the service isn't great The issue for me is the food is never consistently good and it's never been great but my friends love the place so I'm there frequently. Unfortunately for me I always want to get potatoes and the potatoes are never cooked through they are always starchy and hard in the middle, The other issue is they cannot for the life of them figure out how to make a soft scrambled egg It's always a clump of dry egg there's nothing moist about it. I will say however the place is always clean and the restrooms are always usable and I appreciate that. The ambiance is usually chaotic and I wish they would see people with children in one area like they used to see smokers in one area and non-smokers in one area because as a person and a group of people without children it's absolutely unnecessary for us to be seated so closely to children every single time I would suggest you move families to one space and non-families to another space hoping that there's equal space for both sides So everyone can enjoy their meals. People who choose to bring their children to brunch should be able to enjoy as much as those of us who do not bring children to brunch because we want mimosas. read more
