I decided to stop in at Toots South. I must say to my surprise the food definitely surpassed my expectations. The fried pickles were incredible. They were fresh, hot, with a nice crust, and were super light. I ordered the buffalo tenders, un-sauced with ranch dressing. They were very good and the french fries paired perfectly with them. The ambience of this restaurant was very lively. And despite the fact that the restaurant was fairly full, service time did not take super long. The only thing that could've made this visit better, would have been if my actual server would have at least been a tiny bit more tentative to our table. When we came in our server was on break, which is fine. So our order was taken by a fellow waitress and delivered by other staff members. With that being said, our waitress did not even check on us to even offer a refill of water. read more

It's a lot of fried, so be aware of that. and everything that is fried is really good. I particularly like the Buffalo Bleu Chicken salad because Toots allows you to flavor the tenders with any of their 13 signature flavors. Lots of variety. Super happy with their Kettle Potato Chips, which I actually like well enough to order extra and bring them home being fresher than store bought. Service has always been excellent here with knowledgeable staff and friendly and expedient delivery, hot and fresh. Family friendly and full of kitchy details, reading the walls and tables will fill up an afternoon and makes for great conversation starters. Tuesday burger special, that was a no for me. Service was really bad, I mean terrible. The burger was very dry and apparently they only have mayo packets, according to our server. How is beyond me. Toots has been in business since 1985, how do you not have mayo? It was clearly a frozen burger patty with lots of grissel. They also changed their sweet potato wedges to frozen sweet potato fries. I really wish they strived to serve quality food and cared about the service we as paying customer get, unfortunately not. We will not be back. My wife and I are big Toot's fans. This was the first time we went to this location. Quite dissappointed Started with the fried pickles. Probably the best part of the meal. A little soggy. But edible. I ordered a grilled chicken cajun salad and a dozen oysters. The chicken was fine. Seasoning was not my favorite. The actual salad part went untouched. It was old and brown. Shocked it would come out of the kitchen like that. When I told the waitress, she said its not old, I watched them make it. The oysters looked like they had been sitting out all day. First of all, great food! This was our first experience at Toot's, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Second of all, amazing service! Sophie was our server and she took great care of us. She recommended what drinks, appetizers, and entrees we should order. She had some great picks, as we enjoyed all of it! She was very kind, attentive, and did her job well! Have always been a fan of toots, but this location is awful. Tried it out again today hoping it was better. Waitress was very nice. But didn't seem to actually care. Asked for ranch 3 times for my wife before finally getting it well after we received our food. My wings came with the wrong sauce. So I asked for a side of the correct sauce. Never got it. Gave up. Decided to eat the, now cold, wings anyways. Ate one and realized the others had feathers on them still. I don't think I've ever left a negative review for a restaurant. My family and I decided to order a quick meal from here today and ordered to go. I ordered a kids meal for my 2 year old with our order. We spoke with a cashier named Kole and was told there will be an "adult up charge" for the kids meals to go. It caught us by surprise because we regularly order from here and he stated that it was only going to be a $1 up charge. Mind you the kids meal is usually $6.99 and displays that price online as well. When I went in to pick up my order and pay, I found that there was a $3.00 up charge for the kids meal for the "adult up charge" which brought the total for just the kids meal to $9.99. Look I know yelp only lets you review to 5 stars, but I would give it a 6.7/7. I had a great experience at Toot's! I had just got done playing golf at Indian Hills with some of my buddies and we were all starving. So we decided to go to Toot's! We walked in the door sometime between 6 and 7 PM and I told my buddies that I was going to eat 6 wings, but I guess it was my lucky day because the Toot's waitress gave me 7. The food was a solid 6/7. Not the best, but if you are starving, it hits every time. Also, the service was very good! We were only waiting like 6 or 7 minutes on our food! Another positive to Toot's is that it gave me a Buffalo Wild Wings vibe with the 67 TVs they had up on the walls. This is the type of place where you stop in for 6 minutes and end up leaving 7 hours later. With that being said, thank you Toot's for the wonderful experience! Trying to figure out why we never went before since this one is closer to the house. Each location is quite different from another, from the decor to the service. On our return home to IL, my mother said she wanted to stop at "...Toots...." because of all the billboards on the highway. We're so glad we did. The food was really good. We ordered: onion rings, fried pickles, barbecue full slabs, fried oysters and barbecue wings with ranch dressing. Staff was really nice, service was quick. The restaurant looked like a cross between a sports bar and Crab Shack Floridian type eatery. This is a place we will visit again when we drive through again. read more

I'll start with the service...... It started with us placing an order for an appetizer and drinks. Drinks were quick on coming out but no sighting of the appetizer (fried pickles). Then server came over to get our food order and we asked about the appetizer. The look on her face was oh no, I think she forgot to place the order. She said they should be out soon. Finally got the appetizer and just a few minutes later, our food showed up. We ordered a few different meals with chicken strips with different flavors. The chicken was served slightly warmed (definitely not hot or fresh). One of the chicken strips flavors was incorrect so it was sent back. The manager came back with the correct ones. I asked him if the chicken should be hot and he said "yeah". I mentioned that a few of the orders were not and he said he would make us fresh ones. When we got the remake, they were SO MUCH better tasting. We told the manager he did not have to do that as we were hungry but he still did. The server continued to check on us to insure we were good. Sometimes, a little too much checking in. Overall, the food and service were just okay. I have been going to this place for years but his was the first at this location. It is just as good as the others. Straightforward sports bar food. They have really great wings. A must have. It's their special power. This time I opted to get the appetizer sampler. Mozzarella sticks, mini-corndogs, and onion rings. All fantastic and delicious. I freaking love Toots! I loved in Murfreesboro a few years back so this location wasn't around but I had been to the others plenty of times. I still had my order memorized from then. Chicken finger basket, shaken in hot. Ranch on the side. On our trip back home, we stayed the night in Murfreesboro so naturally I had to share the deliciousness with my fiancé. She got the sampler with pickle chips (MY FAVE) and I got my classic order. We ordered for curbside pickup which was super quick and easy. As soon as we pulled up I barely had time to get the car in park and they were bringing out the order. We used to like Toots. I'm in Murfreesboro every once in a while and pick up an order to go. The last three times have been terrible. We never get what we order. We live an hour and a half away so can't take it back. Today she repeated the order on the phone exactly like i ordered. When I got home, we got wings instead of fingers and the 2 orders of tater tots were sitting on a paper towel and of course the towel got saturated and couldn't get the tater tots out of the paper towel so the whiole$25 dollar order went in the trash, AGAIN.
