If you're looking for a place that absolutely delivers, Fish House Kickin Coop knocked it out of the park tonight. My husband and I went all in and ordered 10 tenders, sides of ranch and buffalo, baked beans, hush puppies, and mac & cheese and every single bite was perfectly seasoned, hot, and downright delicious. And I don't say that lightly... this wasn't just "good," it was crave-it-again-tomorrow amazing. Yes, the wait was a little longer than usual, but the sweet lady working let us know she was holding it down solo, and honestly, we weren't in a rush. One bite in and we both agreed, it was 100% worth it. Great music, free refills, a relaxed vibe, and all that food for just $37? That's a steal these days. We'll definitely be back. The food was excellent. They were out of hush puppies so go earlier if you want that. We went for dinner. This place was very busy with Togo orders but that didn't seem to impact our visit. Our food was brought relatively quickly. I'm not sure I like the Mac n cheese, I couldn't figure out the flavor and the server had no idea when I asked about it. Ambiance really lacks. This appetizer was incomplete and not worth the $19.99 price for what arrived. Sadly the manager was going to offer to make it right by adding three vegan wings. This is not okay and he admitted the person sent the order out being short. Yet he will not make it right because he claims three vegan wings will do that. I ordered the $16.99 catfish plate which the okra contained was the same amount as what was contained into the sampler box. That was 1/3, not 2/3. Yet I am insulted by the offer that I would take the time to call and report this without an apology when he knew and admitted the order was incomplete to gain three vegan wings. No matter how good your food maybe be or not be this is the first and last time I will be interacting with you. Who needs this kind of unnecessary petty torture? There are far too many other honest and reasonable business to deal with. Ordered through door dash but never again. Door dash gave a credit of $8. We visited back in february and i have always loved their food. We had a different server than usual(can't remember her name), husband ordered wings, i ordered catfish. This was around 6 or 6:30 on a friday night. Husband got wings in about 15 minutes or so yet i didnt get my food. 15 miore minutes pass and i still dont have my food. He asked the server what was up and she said oh we ran out of catfish and they went to get some. Ummm why didnt yiu tell me up front, maybe i would of ordered chicken instead. Anyways, got my dinner when my husband was pretty much done with his and the catfish they served me was not the normal catfish they serve. Taste and texture were off. Came home to visit family and friends for Christmas and this place was HIGHLY recommended. Got the Buffalo and Hot Honey BBQ wings. The wings were a decent size and very saucy. Definitely a 10/10 in my book. The waitress and owners were very attentive and served our party quick! Looks great in there and definitely clean. I ordered whiting fish sandwich with cheese, pickles, mustard, and onions. I did not receive cheese, the bread was soggy, the fish was over cooked and smelled like bad grease. Also was cold. The menu was pretty basic fried fish or fried chicken tenders. But they did Gabe a lot of sides listed to go with your plate. Hot cabbage to French fries and as far as drinks it's all non-alcoholic but they do make a mean kool-aid. That's right I said kool-Aid, never thought I'd see this in a restaurant but glad I did it was yummy. The fish was good and service was friendly. I really enjoyed the Fish House. I was invited out to lunch here by a buddy who said that their wings were the bomb and that Thursday's was 60 cent wing day. I love good wings and he was right, these were some of the best wings I've had in Murfreesboro. But being that they are called Fish House, I had to try the fish and decided on the White fish platter with spicy cabbage and Mac n Cheese. I will tell you, the fish was superb! The cornmeal breading was delicious and the fish was tender and juicy. The cabbage was great and the Mac n Cheese was excellent too. I will certainly be back. One of the great unique things I liked about this place was the drink selection. They had your normal coke products, and sweet and unsweetened teas. Decided to come here to pick up some lunch to go. I have read many mixed reviews. Negatives on slow service, and unknowledgeable staff. And positives great service and staff. To say the least, during my visit the waitress was very friendly and helpful. I placed my order for some cat fish strips and chicken tenders. Waitress told me they were out of fries, but had other sides to choose from. I asked for the slaw with the fish strips. After placing my order and another guest came in. He too placed an order. Moments later, The Cook came up and expressed that he was going to quit. He said he was not getting enough hours. Needless to say, he prepared our orders. I was a little bit questionable as to eat the food or not. Any rate, I ate the food and it was delicious. The service was fast. Unlike all the reviews stated. My waitress was super sweet. I got there and called to let them know I was outside. A guy answered and said he would bring it out. 5 minutes later he never showed so I went in. There was only one girl working the tables and to go orders. She went to get my food. I told her that a guy answered the phone and said he would be right out but never came.
