This Gumbo Bros just opened in Murfreesboro on Friday, so we headed out to try it as I've been wanting to get to the Nashville location and haven't made yet. This is a scratch kitchen and they do everything in house except the Leidenheimer French Bread, which they ship in from Louisiana. The bread is the bomb BTW. Everything came out hot and fresh. Flavors were on point and the staff were welcoming and friendly. There were some things that aren't on the menu yet like Fried Geen Tomatoes and Cajun Pasta. We were told the full menu will be available in a week or 2. I just wanted to let everyone know. There are still plenty of dishes and side to choose from. We tried both of the Gumbos ( my favorite was the Chicken & Sausage and my wifes favorite was Nanny's Seafood Gumbo ) They have about 6 covered outdoor tables and the weather was beautiful today so we sat outside. The interior is has a casual sports bar type of feel. Very clean and brand new. They serve Apps, Sides, Po Boys, a Burger, Gumbo, Etouffee, Desserts and some House Sauces. I tried their Comeback Sauce and their Jalepeno Tartar. Both delicious. To finish the review I will say I'm going back in a few weeks when they have the full menu as I want to try the Cajun Pasta and they have Crawfish Sunday Boil from Noon until Sold out. You can get 1 pound or 3 pounds of fresh Boiled Crawfish. Let's Geaux !!!

Excellent Cajun food. We had the pu-pu platter ( fried okra, fried pickles, fried green tomatoes) and then the sampler of ettouffe, red beans and rice, and gumbo. Everything was delicious. Service was really good. Nice decor and good music.

Service was quick and friendly. Bread on the Poboy was soft and fresh. Shrimp were big and cooked well. Okra had a nice light batter and were cooked perfectly. The ranch was really tasty. Overall was a pleasant meal.

Gave The Gumbo Bros a try today. Yesterday was the grand opening, so I am glad we got here early because this place is starting to get packed. The restaurant has an up beat vibe with friendly service, and lots of cool decor. I ordered alligator bites, chicken and sausage gumbo, and Cajun waffle fries to get things started. Our order did not take too long to be prepared. The alligator bites were absolutely delicious. The Cajun ranch had a nice heat to it. The gumbo was ridiculously delicious and seasoned to perfection. The Cajun fries were also super tasty. Overall, extremely satisfying lunch. I will definitely be back to try the red beans and rice.

The dark roux gumbo was absolutely horrible. It did not have a pleasant taste. However, all the other food we had was phenomenal! I was willing to go into a sodium coma for this food. The light roux, appetizers, and sweet tea was all on point. The servers were really nice.

As a lover of Cajun food I was excited to try The Gumbo Bros. I had the seafood gumbo which was fresh and had the perfect amount of spice. I would also recommend the fried green tomatoes. Overall the food was good but was a little pricey. Service was good however some food took a while to come out. Great experience!

Loved the Saints and LSU jerseys

Delicious! I'm from Louisiana. It was great to have some authentic food. The chicken and sausage gumbo was nice and spicy and salty. The bread was good. Shrimp etouffe was also very good. I'll be back

We originally were sat at a smaller four-person table right by the roll up windows towards the front of the restaurant, and the draft was so intense, we were freezing even with jackets on. We asked to be seated somewhere else, which they did (although that spot wasn't much better), and placed another couple at the original table. Within minutes they had the same issue... bundling up, switching seats around, etc. our waitress seemed on the younger side, and maybe even new. But she appeared visibly confused with just about every request we had. Her response was usually "uhhhh..... okay" followed by us getting wrong drinks/food. The food overall was decent. The chicken tenders were juicy and crispy and the ranch was great. Their fries were delicious. It likely wouldn't be my first choice in picking a place to eat, but I do believe it deserves a second chance. I'll be going back when it's warmer to hopefully have a different experience.

They occupy a great corner in the complex, which is a stellar location and allows for a good sized patio in addition to the dining room and bar area. That patio also makes bringing the pups a lot easier. As with all Neighbors, they are all about sports and with walls and walls of TV's, you cannot miss the game or event you are after! Food and drink here are solid. If you have never been to Neighbors, it is true sports bar food with wings, nachos, burgers, sandwiches, pretzel bites, etc...and a few house specialties, but mostly your standard stuff. And that is not a bad thing, while simple, they do it well and I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered here. Service is friendly and good, but efficient is questionable as they recently introduced a flag based system where you put your number card on your stand and when your server notices it, they come your way. My only issue is this takes the natural check-in's of service away and while the idea is good in theory, execution is still a bit clunky as we had to seek out our server twice after having our card displayed for several minutes. Overall, big fan of the Neighbors brand and really enjoy this location in Frankin!
