The Nachos were delicious and had a wide variety of flavors. My burger was the second best burger that I've had since moving to Tennessee. I ordered it medium and it was perfectly cooked. Went here on a Friday night with a friend and the atmosphere was great! There was a live band performing and the food was very tasty. I will say, the tables were super close together but the space was small so I understood, however it did feel a bit crowded. The bbq sandwhich was so yummy, as well as their Mac and cheese. Going out in downtown Murfreesboro. This place was very cute and the liveliness of the people and area made this even better. I like the open air feel of the bar. Pretty cool hang out. When we came, they didn't have their liquor license yet, but they had beer. We pretty much just parked in the square and walked here. It wasn't too packed when we came so we got a table right away. It is a really cool hang out spot. They have TV's so you can watch the game. On the entrance side, that whole window opens up. I liked that a lot. They don't really have places like that in the boro. Usually we go to Nashville to have a hangout like that. We went on a hot day, so since the whole side opened up, it did get kinda hot in there. Food wise: I tried their buffalo wings. I don't have any complaints about it. I felt that it was cooked perfectly. It wasn't dry or over cooked. I also tried their bologna and cheese cubes. I actually liked this one a lot. The presentation was really nice on it. It came out on a nice board and the bologna wasn't at all like what I imagined. it was very yummy. I also tried their pickle fries. Pretty much- fried pickles. It wasn't bad at all. Service was pretty good. Our server was very nice and sweet. Will be back to try their bourbon once they get it. read more

Visited the newly opened Boro Bourbon & Brews just off the square. Very cool location and interesting history...the space used to be the Murfreesboro Batery Service Station in 1934 (battery intentionally misspelled, see pictures). The garage doors all open, so in cooler weather it would make for an interesting venue for music and watching sports on the big screen televisions. This place is bright and inviting although with a crowd a quiet conversation might be difficult. Even better is this place is not a chain...families realizing their dreams and contributing to Murfreesboro. I went for a late afternoon lunch on Friday and they are still in their soft opening. They do not have their liquor license yet, so no bourbon but they do have beer on eight taps and bottles. Haley and Dewey behind the bar took great care of me and went over the options available. I went with the Craft Cheese Burger with Bacon and the fries. The burger was cooked as requested and the bacon was thick and crispy. There was a nice grill char on the burger and it was larger than I expected...cutting it in half made it easier to handle and there were a ton of fries. The burger was good, juicy, and had a nice grilled flavor while the seasoning had a bit of a peppery backend. The fires were seasoned, crispy, and a good compliment to the burger. This is a welcome addition to the Murfreesboro Square, looking forward to the expanded menu. read more

We visited with a party of seven people, so I will cut them some slack as I know large parties can be a pain. We came mid-week for lunch and disappointingly many items on both the drink and food menus that we tried to order were out-of-stock or unavailable. The food we did end up getting was either pretty bland, or overcooked and dry. Multiple people in our party left half finished plates because of this. The few cocktails that we ended up ordering were not great so we stopped ordering alcohol after the first round. The price of their menu items was pretty steep for the quality of what was served. The menu for the burger was a bit confusing because it seemed like it was charging exorbitant fees for garnishes, but it was just a misprint or poor grammar. It was my mistake for not ordering the burger rare, like I prefer. It came out well done, but still excellent. The beef flavor was great and it was presented with nice grill marks and tasted flame broiled. Instead of carbohydrate loaded fries, I was offered a delicious cole slaw. It was unique in that it was mixed with pineapple and just enough jalapeno. Our bartender was very helpful and prompt on service, but a bit hyperactive and boisterous. That was fine for this atmosphere and she constantly checked on the status of my order. She was quite knowledgeable about the bourbons and whiskeys, I am particular about how I want my bourbon - chilled over ice and strained. She complimented me on my specificity. It is an open, airy bright sports bar. There is a small stage that looks to support weekend performers as many locations on the square do. I have been a regular of another burger and brew establishment across the street. At that location, I joined their beer consumption "club" and have several awards, however, I think I have found a new home here at Boro Bourbon and Brew. read more

Tons of craft brews and ipa's. Food is a bit pricey but does have good flavor. Their French fries are absolutely worth visiting for. I'm not sure what type of seasoning they use but WOW! Unfortunately the service was slow as they only had 1 waitress and 1 bartender working. One of the co-owners stopped by to check on us, that was very nice. Outstanding food! Ya all gotta give it a try! My husband and I visited Boro Bourbon and Brews over the weekend and loved it. We ordered the Philly cheese steak, which had plenty of meats and peppers and cheese. No mushrooms which was good! The fries with it were really crisp and seasoned perfect. The portions were spot on! My husband had an ice cold beer which was served in a tall cold glass. I had the burger and fries, I will say that the meat patty did not spread out across the bun but the burger was think, cooked to perfect, seasoned sooo good! I was very impressed. What I did not like was the lettuce on the burger was really limped and not appetizing. The fries were awesome and were a perfect pairing with the burger. The burger bun was branded with their logo which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was what you can expect in a bar and grill. Football was on the many screens among the facility. There are garage doors which were opened and letting the fall air in. Apparently there is live music there as well. Missed it this time since it was Sunday afternoon but will try and see the band/singer another time. Stopped in for lunch during the week, first time we have been. We got there right when they opened and we were the only ones there. Service was really good. Our waiter was attentive, and very friendly. If my review was off that I'd give it a 5. The food however was very disappointing. I got the Borbon Brews burger with onion rings. The onion rings were watery, and I've never experienced watery onion rings before. The burger was hard to eat and very tasteless. I couldn't even finish half of it. My husband got the Spring Roles and a side of rice. The Spring Roles were garnishes with shredded cheese, which we thought was weird. The rice was tasteless and the Spring rolls tasted pretty generic. There are definitely better restaurants on the square, but I can see where the rolling windows would be great. Awesome new restaurant!! They are in their soft opening awaiting their liquor license, but they have great beer options and other bottled and canned options for those that don't care for beer. Love the atmosphere and the food presentation is terrific and tastes great. Our waters were never refilled or our other drinks. The bun for my burger was burnt. They do not have their liquor license so they have no liquor and currently can only serve beer. Quickly becoming one of my favorites and a great addition to the square area. The food is always high quality and the menu is evolving. The ambiance is very inviting with a friendly local vibe feel. The servers are great, always smiling and able to generate conversation. The owners are great people and really care about creating a place where anyone can come and hang out, enjoy good food and drinks, and feel welcomed. My only suggestion would be to cut down on the wait time for drinks when you are at the tables. If you haven't been to Triple B's, you gotta check it out! read more

We thought it wouldn't be too bad since the place is small they wouldn't have a loud band. We couldn't hear anything. Not our server when she came over. We decided to try Boro last night on the way home from a party. Never been to the square later at night. Was excited to see the energy in general and Boro was busy as well which was exciting. We found a table and we were approached quickly by a server. Overall service was good. She was polite and friendly and answered questions as we had them. The layout of the place was pretty cool, whiskey barrels, rustic style wood trim, lighting was pretty cool. Overall a decent vibe. I asked for a whiskey list, they do not have it. Server apologized and suggested we take a pic of the bar. I honestly feel a "Bourbon" place should have a list. Had a decent selection and seemed reasonably priced for what we ordered. We ordered food at 9:55, I know the time because when the server told us the kitchen closed 10 minutes ago. 9:45? On a Saturday night with a full place? Maybe slim it down to the wings and apps but I feel that if you are open till 11 you should be offering food until close or very close to close. Personally speaking for myself and my friends we would have had more than one drink if I had some wings or curds in front of me. So why the 2? I was unable to try food which a lot of people say is good, no Whiskey list. Most of all I feel like because the kitchen closes early. I looked at the website and I might be missing it but I see no reference to the kitchen closing early.
