We didn't realize this was more of a coffee shop ambiance and we love it! It's a great place to come do some work while you enjoy one of their incredible specialty lattes. The Sister Hazelnut latte was delicious. All their syrups are house-made and they have dairy alternatives, for all my lactose intolerant friends! The Boro Breakfast Sammy is nothing short of amazing. I got it with bacon and the everything bagel and I could easily eat multiple. Just simply delicious! Their Cajun fries are decadent and worth a try. They've got a great menu with options for breakfast and lunch, beer, wine, mimosas (hello, brunch!). For my ranch lovers, their ranch is not the best. Was actually looking for somewhere to have mimosas at 930 but didn't realize you can't have alcohol until 10. The food was good. You order at the counter so I can't say much about the service but it was pleasant enough. Place was clean. I had the breakfast tacos, my husband has the monte cristo. The tacos were really good. I looked up photos on yelp and they looked really appealing so I'm glad I went with that. My husband liked his sandwich but the potatoes were the best part. The sandwich we both prefer a monte cristo to be fried or just like crispier not so soggy. I enjoyed the food but unfortunately I looked at the reviews for the other location and saw a response from the business owner that didn't seem right but I assumed the tone didn't translate well over text yet when I came to this page I see it's a trend. I do not patronize businesses where the owner cannot take criticism in a professional manner and instead chooses to be rude and condescending so if you feel the same consider this a warning. This is the cutest little spot to stop in for coffee and a tasty bite to eat. Tons of beverage options including seasonal coffees. The crepe was delicious and packed full of flavor. Service was prompt and they offer mostly indoor seating with 2 outside tables perfect for 2-3. They also have bar type seating which seemed to be a popular area for those dining in while working. So this is a where you look at a menu and then walk to counter and order/pay type place. I wasn't expecting that for some reason. I always feel rushed in those situations and makes my anxiety peak. Weird, I know. Anyway, we ordered some coffees, a breakfast burrito and the cubano sandwich. Employees were very friendly. The restaurant definitely feels more like a small coffee shop. Had a small issue with finding a spot to sit (they were pretty busy), but found a corner when others left. The food was tasty. Hubby was pleased with the size and taste of his chorizo burrito. The cubano came with fries which were nice and hot. The only thing I was (mildly) disappointed with was that the cubano wasn't made with a roll and pressed panini style, but on normal toast. I don't understand this place specialize in coffee. You should do it really well and I just got a standard latte no syrup or anything because I prefer not to kill myself with chemicals but God the coffee was so bitter and sour. It was just awful and I don't understand how you could screw up coffee if that's your business.. very rarely do I throw out my coffee, but I did this time. It was just not worth drinking and it was more on the gross side. How did it take us so long to find this place?!? I can't say it's a hidden gem because everybody was telling us to try it and it's right in the middle of the town square. Located on The Square in Murfreesboro, this adorable little restaurant has a great atmosphere, pleasant employees & a varied breakfast/brunch menu. Seating is limited, so we don't always luck out getting a table (seating is first come, first serve), but you can request your order to go. The lattes are delicious (the seasonal drinks are like a warm hug), with multiple flavors & milks to choose from. The food is hot, delicious & served to your table (or to go) fairly quickly and we love the order tags provided so you're not giving out your name (it's fun to hear the barista belt out "Latte for Scrooge!"). Joanie's Café has a lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff and a large menu. It's clear the team has put thought into creating a cozy spot to enjoy a meal or a coffee. That said, the tables didn't seem to be wiped off regularly as customers left and the food I tried was a bit underwhelming--on the bland side for my taste. However, I'm looking forward to coming back to give their coffee a try, this place seems pretty popular. I also have to mention the table markers because it gave me a good laugh. Today while running to Dr appts and just running errands, we stopped for a quick coffee that turned into a quick breakfast. I have been to Joanie's quite a bit but today it was very good. Everything we ordered came out super tasty. I'm also glad it's early in the week because on the weekends this location is jam packed and it's obvious why. The service was quick and easy! After you order they give you not a number but a table sign, mine was Maverick from Top Gun! Yea, I was wearing my Aviator's that morning! Wow, the coffee/espresso menu, that was a hard decision, so many to choose from. I got the Tenacious Toffee, bam... so good. My wife got the Almond Brother, another good one! Sooooo many more I want to try! On to breakfast, I got the Count Monte Cristo, amazing! French Toast with Smoked Ham and melted Swiss cheese with a side of strawberry jam to dip in! It was amazing! Sunday afternoon, 3 people, menu choices look great, busy, staff screaming across the restaurant ( more on that later) Grab a menu, at front, walk thru the long restaurant to service counter on back, place order (get presented with a tip request), get a placquard..try to find a seat then the screaming starts. You are expected to get your drinks, silverware napkins etc. The problem. Is the high ceilings , lots of customers..one cannot hear...yep... more screaming. Anyone who cares about basic cleanliness on the front end which puts the kitchen in question...just stop here and find somewhere else. I didn't like sticking to my seat, the sticky dirty table, my sandals sticking to the floor, the additional fork and knife I needed to get, the lack of cleaning....this place screams health inspector visit STAT. Why I haven't reviewed this place is beyond me. I've been a loyal client for the last two years because it's walking distance from my house and it has a homey feeling to it. It's a very decent size place with about 3 tables outside but plenty inside. Everything I've tried has been just perfect. Perfectly cooked, big portions, family friendly & unique flavors. Hard to pick my favorite or the best because you can't go wrong with anything you try. I have visited other locations and I have to say, their service here is the BEST. Why? They are always smiling, helpful with options/dietary needs and honest with their suggestions. Enough parking in front and this is the place to be on Sunday brunch & their mimosas are a generous size and really well mixed. Is it pricey? Uumm Sure, but you get what you pay for. Customer Service was a bit poor, they don't have servers to take your order when you walk in, you just seat yourself, and order upfront and they bring your food to your table with a table placard. We got the chicken and waffles. Food was bland as far as taste so definitely season to your liking. 7/10. read more

I had a previous good experience at the other Joanie's in Murfreesboro , however, the one on 13 S Public Square was disappointing . I had a chicken and waffle Sammie and one side the waffle had raw dough oozing out. Someone in my party ordered a 16 oz can of beer they poured into a small mug. When I asked where the rest of the beer was, they said it was in the mug, which was a lie. When asked why the entire can was not provided I was told "because they don't want people walking outside with beer cans". Heck, then keep the other 1/2 of the can by the counter and let the patron come back to get the rest, don't charge for a 16 oz can and pour the rest out! I will return to the Joanie's 1733 St. Andrews Place, but not this one again. In regards to manager response: The first beer was a large 16 oz can and yes, it filled to the very top. It just did not look like it came out of the large can in the small mug. The person then got a 11 oz can of beer, and it actually did not fill the mug like the 16 oz can. Thank you for pointing that out. I did mention to one of the girls I had a raw waffle but no one asked how to make it right. I would have liked some offer, but nothing. read more

First off don't trust the pictures. That being said I don't mind paying $20 for a burger but at lease give me the option of how I would like it cooked. The toppings on the big Lebowski burger were obviously sitting around and slightly warmed before it was placed on the burger. My wife ordered her burger with the pretzel bun which is an up charge but for the regular bun. As far as the side the baked potato salad, it is obviously served from a big plastic container delivered by their food service provider, the Kroger version I used to get was far superior. I guess spending almost $50 for lunch which was two burgers I was extremely disappointed and would not go back. On a side note when this place was under a different name we brought out of town guests for breakfast and that too was extremely underwhelming. I feel like it's the same owners with a new name. I almost never write reviews, this is the first one in many years but like I said I was highly disappointed with not only the prices which I know are high everywhere now but the quality of the food was just really not up to par in my opinion. Also I know the truth can hurt sometimes so Jason feel free to leave one of your snarky comebacks. Visiting from out of town and needed a place for brunch and that was quick service. Red Bicycle was the place! It was easy to find and on the corner of a plaza. The decor is cute and the place was clean. Some tables were spread throughout inside along with some high top bar seating. When we visited it was fall and they had special fall drinks to try. The menu had a little bit of everything some sweet and some savory. Breakfast and lunch options. When we placed our order we were given Mrs. Doubtfire as our order character. Staff were friendly. There was a utensil station along with a jug of water. I went with the Funky Monkey crepes and they were so delicious. Good portion size. My pumpkin spice latte also hit the spot. A side of bacon rounded my meal and the bacon was a good size and tasty. My husband got the Go To Scramble which was a yummy bowl of eggs, hash browns, and choice of meat. My actual rating would be 3.5 stars, if that was an option. Location: Not a bad spot to get a fancy coffee drink especially if you live in the area. I would not recommend this as a family location although it is kid friendly and has kid menu. Given the location, it is easily accessible but a hassle to get there taking the winding road through a mostly residential area. Parking is rather limited and they appear to stay pretty busy. There are 2 small tables outside but they are on the sidewalk basically in the walking area to the restaurant which is located in the end of a strip retail location. Food: Breakfast/brunch is probably my all time favorite meal option. This was good but not the best I've ever had. The food was piping hot and filling. However, the breakfast burrito left me needing something as it was 75% egg (actually felt like 1/2 dozen) with a single sausage cut into pieces and some sprinkles of cheese with a container of Pace salsa. I had expected more flavor in the burrito to not need the salsa but that wasn't so. As I said it was filling as I only ate 1/2 but I'll need to add seasoning when I consume the other half. One thing that stood out as 4.5 stars were fries. Imagine that! They reminded me of the pomme frites of Germany---delish! The Breakfast Tacos looked good and were devoured by my 10 year old. Yes please!!! Everything, the place is super cute inside and it's very open so you don't feel cramped. Perfect for social distancing and spend a nice time enjoying a meal. They offer a water station with nice slices of lemons and utensils, napkins, sauces, etc'. The atmosphere feels fresh and clean without the cleaner smell. They were playing music videos on the TV from the 80's- early 2000's and it was very nostalgic and awesome for my friend and I. They have two unisex bathrooms on the back. They offer a few bar like seating as well as a mixture of tables and 3 booths at the back of the restaurant. You order on the front and they give you this picture as your identifier as they bring the food to where you are seated. The menu has plenty of options and the taste is soooo yummy. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon (let me tell you, hope you come hungry for this one). We shared a cinnamon roll crepe because how could we have resist? (on point with the taste but maybe just a bit extra drizzle (in the inside so the look stays the same) wouldn't be a bad idea ;) ha) and my friend had the Spinach crepe. I had a bite of it and let me tell you... don't slap your mama with all of these explosions of flavors, please. Portions are definitely a "we're not in East Nash anymore" kind of good so come hungry. Prices are definitely worth it and fair. Of course we tried their coffee! I had the Macaroon x2 (don't judge me) and my friend had the French toast. Definitely delicious but I like my coffee stronger so I wouldn't have mind adding an extra shot but just like that is delicious too and I don't need the extra shot, ha! Been here several time. It can get busy during weekends, but there's plenty of parking. It's an order first, pay, and get your food concept. There's a large variety of food and drinks. They sell coffee, cocktails, and American food. Seating is plentiful. There's just one thing that's missing...flavor. I'm not a spice-hound. If you ask my kids, they'll say I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food. But every time, I've been here, the food has been very bland. Yes there's salt and pepper but, it can't fix everything. Sadly, it didn't fix the burrito I've ordered. There are redeeming qualities. They include the professional staff. They take your order and deliver your food in a reasonable time.
