Such a beautiful spot! This wine bar and creperie feels like a dream plucked from Paris and dropped into Nashville. The owners are so nice and knowledgeable about French wines. They do weekly wine tastings on Tuesday's that are fun, welcoming and informative! I also recommend you stay after the tasting and order their crepes and other cocktail options. This is perfect for an after dinner drink or even a lowkey date night. I have to come back and get their crème brûlée!

Omg this place is so cute and the guys behind the bar are so fun, interesting, and knowledgeable. Would recommend for wine lovers and for cheese lovers. All the food we had was fantastic and paired well with the recommended wine. Brock will not lead you astray and he's honest about pricing too which is nice because so many people are just worried about selling you the most expensive pours. 10/10!

Cute and cozy spot! Everyone who worked there was super nice, constantly checking in on us. The meat/cheese charcuterie board was divine! The bread that it came with was so so good! The steak tartare was amazing. Had to end with with the Nutella crepe with bananas. Needless to say we had no leftovers!

Enjoy a Parisian Bistro with friendly, French speaking staff, with a diverse, European wine bar, in a small, clean Paris style bistro. Dining also has European emphasis on charcuterie and small plates. The Cheese and Charcuterie is well curated, with excellent cheeses and meats, but could use more fruit and nuts other than peanuts. Confiture de Fraise with extra strawberries is excellent.

Attended a French wine tasting and had the best time. Brock was so knowledgeable on the histories of the wines and the owners were beyond friendly. Charcuterie board was demolished too!

My friend and I enjoyed our first trip (definitely not the last) to The Authentique last night and it was truly lovely! We got to meet the proprietor Alex, who is multi lingual and so charming! He also happened to be the one who made our crêpes, croque monsieur, and crème brule.... Which were all exceptional! My friend had a delicious white wine and I had a flight of the bold reds. The wines were wonderfully curated and the food was fresh and delicious. I cannot recommend this establishment more highly!

Went to The Authentique for their "Tour de France" wine tasting. Alexandre was an absolute delight, extremely knowledgeable and such a joy to learn from. The wine bar is cozy and intimate and I made some great connections!

This place is truly a Nashville gem! The restaurant immediately makes you feel like you've left East Nashville and entered into a beautiful 1920s French themed wine cellar. The interior design alone is captivating and if you visit during their live Jazz hour, it adds even more to the experience. The owner is extremely knowledgeable of all of his wines and makes you feel very welcomed the moment you walk through the doors. The food is also amazing and they all pair so well with the unique wine selection. This place has easily become of of my favorite East Nashville Gems

The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.

Located at the back of the building you can enter through going around back or walking through the building. Its a small place, but they have tables and bar seating. The wine menu is glorious. So much to choose from. I like how you order at the bar because it gives you a chance to see what everyone else is drinking as they keep the open bottles up front. I asked the staff what I should order based on wanting a chilled red. They gave me tow options. I chose a Nebbiolo and loved it! We ordered two "bread with stuff". We got the pumpkin and the french onion. Both were amazing! We went at 2 pm so it was the perfect snack. They did have a fairly diverse menu. Music was upbeat and chill and at the perfect volume to have an enjoyable conversation. They also sell loaves of bread to go, which of course we got.

Food was good, starting with their pimento cheese and chicken bcnuggets. I found the chicken to be most interesting out of the two - a fun and elevated take on a chicken nugget, especially if you like dill! For the entrees, we split the Spanish octopus and chicken forestiere. Octopus had great flavor, but we found it to be a bit small for its price point. The chicken forestiere, on the other hand, was a great portioned dish with phenomenal flavor. A must have from our perspective! We ended the meal with the banana pudding, which was fantastic. Drinks were very good, however, we felt the old fashioned was a bit overpriced at $25. We also felt the service was a little lacking - food was timely, but drink service was slow....waited for a second glass of wine for quite a while. Overall, giving this one a 4/5.

It's a great wine bar with an amazing selection of natural wines, delicious food, the best service, and an amazing ambiance. What's not to like? Sauced works a little bit differently than a lot of wine bars. We walked in and were welcomed right away. When we grabbed seats at the bar (there are also tables), our bartender (I feel terrible that I'm not 100% sure of his name since we had such a great time with him - but I'm pretty sure it was John) asked us about wines we like or are drawn to. They don't have a printed menu - they ask you what you like or are in the mood for and then they they'll pour you tastes until you find something you love. Then they have several fridges of bottles you can purchase and open. And their selection here is also great. We saw bottles by several winemakers we stalk (when we see, we usually buy). The wines our bartender recommended (based on our tastes and preferences) were great, too. They also have a great menu of food items - great for a meal or a snack. We ordered their mortadella sandwich, which will likely go down as one of my favorite sandwiches of the year (great bread, tons of mortadella, pistachio cream, gooey melted cheese)... I think I covered this already, but the service was excellent: attentive (we didn't have empty glasses for long at all before we were involved in a conversion about what we wanted to pour next), friendly, helpful... The bar itself is also great - tons of character: walls with smoke from candles, great lighting, little intimate nooks for seating... I had a great time at Sauced: great wine, great food, a great time. I'm not in Nashville as often as I should be (in laws), but I'd be happy to visit Sauced every time I'm in Nashville. Sauced might be an outpost of a Brooklyn wine bar, but Nashville is still so lucky to have it. Most cities don't have a wine bar as great as Sauced.

While I enjoy getting to talk to the bartender about what I like or may want to try, if they're busy, I don't want to just spend all of our time asking them the price of things. We definitely had a little sticker shock at the end of the night, but this was also my first time here so that could be something I just wasn't expecting! Aside from that, the service and wines were great. So while it isn't somewhere I see myself putting in my weekly rotation, it's a nice option for a special occasion or nicer evening.

For food we ordered the bruschetta, whipped goat cheese, and meatballs. The whipped goat cheese was the clear standout--it came with blueberry compote and hot honey so you could go sweet or slightly spicy. The blueberry compote with the goat cheese was honestly to die for. The bruschetta was also really tasty with great flavor, and I appreciated the thinner crostini slices. The meatballs came with three generously sized meatballs and were good, but not quite as standout as the other two dishes.
