Spicy ham sliders

Finally got to Martha My Dear! The location is very unassuming but it's a great "upscale dive" where you can still get great cocktails. And Shelby was an amazing bartender but everyone we encountered was great! All of the cocktails were really good but the holiday special menu was our favorite with the Blitzen and Toymaker's Vacation topping the list. And don't sleep on the spicy ham sliders! An elevated bar snack that's the perfect treat while having a couple of drinks.

Tipsy jitters was like an offbrand espresso martini and was delish!

We LOVED this spot. There's a small lot and the drinks were all delish. The bartenders were also amazing! There were some pool tables as well which gave a little bit of activity for the boys. We will be back!!

The vibe was laid-back. the service was quick and professional. And the drinks were great. Only downside was it was pretty crowded but the bartenders were very fast.

Athletic brewing and their bar setup!

At first glance you'd think this was a dive bar. But I'd call it an elevated and clean dive bar with craft cocktails. Two of my favorite things combined into one. An old coworker of mine works here though he wasn't in tonight. Brendan and Alex were both great bartenders and gave me awesome recommendations for live music in the area. I had a blast thanks to them! Next time I'm in East Nashville I will definitely be back!

Girls night out & Shelby was here again to save the night for us! Ordered from their speciality Winter Menu (see pic) & if you're a bourbon lover go with Frostmaiden's Rime, if you're a citrusy or marg person go with I Don't KNOW Margo-rita. Friendliest crowd around! OMG, it's not on the menu but ask for their homemade Egg Nog, it's the best I have ever had in my life! We just sampled it with shots but coming back to get a full glass soon!

The best atmosphere and the best craft cocktails. Seasonal menu was a hit with great bartenders! Great place to stumble upon visiting from Iowa.

Really cool interior space and very friendly bartenders, especially Shay and Jason. This picture is early in a Saturday. Great neighborhood bar

Great happy hour spot! Bartenders were super friendly. Kind of a divey atmosphere but in a fun clean way. We came for happy hour on a Monday and it wasn't busy at all. We got some drinks off the cocktail menu but also had them make some other drinks which they were happy to do. I got the Besito which was super tasty and then I got an aperol Spritz. I would definitely be back! Only thing is they are very strict on happy hour, I ordered my second drink right before 7 but didn't end up getting the happy hour deal.

Atmosphere is great and great drinks!! Highly recommend this bar if you are in East Nashville looking for great service and cocktails.

The Authentique truly feels like a little piece of France tucked into East Nashville. The décor, the vibe, hearing so many different languages around us, it honestly felt like being back in Europe. They have one of the most impressive wine lists I've seen in the city, and if you're indecisive like me, the wine flights are the way to go. We did the Tour de France flight, my husband went with the whites, I did the reds, and everything was incredible. The Beaujolais, Pinot Noir, Chards (yes, because we of course shared haha)... just wow. We paired it all with steak tartare (yes, they have French bites too!), plus they offer charcuterie boards, crepes, and more. Definitely coming back for those. Bonus: every Tuesday they host wine tastings at the bar led by their sommelier, each week with a different theme, mostly French and other European wines. tickets can be purchased in their website Huge thank you to Alexander for walking us through the whole concept. We finished the night with a beautiful Blanc de Blanc to toast our anniversary. What a gem in Nashville, can't wait to be back.

We're getting married in Italy so we specifically were interested in the Italian themed tasting, but they do different themes every Tuesday and the owner Alex seems just as enthusiastic about French, Italian, and just any wine really. We ordered the raclette charcuterie board (for 2) which was a special, and it was so fun! You get to melt the cheese right in front of you, and eat at your own pace. And OBVIOUSLY we had to end the night with a Nutella banana crepe, which is the lightest, tastiest thing to ever grace your lips.

The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.

I thought both were ok, nothing super memorable, but tasty nonetheless. Maybe it was just my taste, but the sprouts were a little too charred for me. Found free street parking not too far from the restaurant. Our waitress gave us good wine recs which I appreciated! I liked all the Van Gogh artwork, especially the paper mache ear!

Well, this place was suggested by a friend to catch up. I completely miss judged butterlamp- of course, I should've known to give it a try. Located at the back of the building you can enter through going around back or walking through the building. Its a small place, but they have tables and bar seating. The wine menu is glorious. So much to choose from. I like how you order at the bar because it gives you a chance to see what everyone else is drinking as they keep the open bottles up front. I asked the staff what I should order based on wanting a chilled red. They gave me tow options. I chose a Nebbiolo and loved it! We ordered two "bread with stuff". We got the pumpkin and the french onion. Both were amazing! We went at 2 pm so it was the perfect snack. They did have a fairly diverse menu. Music was upbeat and chill and at the perfect volume to have an enjoyable conversation. They also sell loaves of bread to go, which of course we got.

Food was good, starting with their pimento cheese and chicken bcnuggets. I found the chicken to be most interesting out of the two - a fun and elevated take on a chicken nugget, especially if you like dill! For the entrees, we split the Spanish octopus and chicken forestiere. Octopus had great flavor, but we found it to be a bit small for its price point. The chicken forestiere, on the other hand, was a great portioned dish with phenomenal flavor. A must have from our perspective! We ended the meal with the banana pudding, which was fantastic. Drinks were very good, however, we felt the old fashioned was a bit overpriced at $25. We also felt the service was a little lacking - food was timely, but drink service was slow....waited for a second glass of wine for quite a while. Overall, giving this one a 4/5.

It's a great wine bar with an amazing selection of natural wines, delicious food, the best service, and an amazing ambiance. What's not to like? Sauced works a little bit differently than a lot of wine bars. We walked in and were welcomed right away. When we grabbed seats at the bar (there are also tables), our bartender (I feel terrible that I'm not 100% sure of his name since we had such a great time with him - but I'm pretty sure it was John) asked us about wines we like or are drawn to. They don't have a printed menu - they ask you what you like or are in the mood for and then they they'll pour you tastes until you find something you love. Then they have several fridges of bottles you can purchase and open. And their selection here is also great. We saw bottles by several winemakers we stalk (when we see, we usually buy). The wines our bartender recommended (based on our tastes and preferences) were great, too. They also have a great menu of food items - great for a meal or a snack. We ordered their mortadella sandwich, which will likely go down as one of my favorite sandwiches of the year (great bread, tons of mortadella, pistachio cream, gooey melted cheese)... I think I covered this already, but the service was excellent: attentive (we didn't have empty glasses for long at all before we were involved in a conversion about what we wanted to pour next), friendly, helpful... The bar itself is also great - tons of character: walls with smoke from candles, great lighting, little intimate nooks for seating... I had a great time at Sauced: great wine, great food, a great time. I'm not in Nashville as often as I should be (in laws), but I'd be happy to visit Sauced every time I'm in Nashville. Sauced might be an outpost of a Brooklyn wine bar, but Nashville is still so lucky to have it. Most cities don't have a wine bar as great as Sauced.

While I enjoy getting to talk to the bartender about what I like or may want to try, if they're busy, I don't want to just spend all of our time asking them the price of things. We definitely had a little sticker shock at the end of the night, but this was also my first time here so that could be something I just wasn't expecting! Aside from that, the service and wines were great. So while it isn't somewhere I see myself putting in my weekly rotation, it's a nice option for a special occasion or nicer evening.

We came by for happy hour and light bites and were pleasantly surprised by their great deals. The $5 glasses of wine (plus a few other happy hour options) made it an easy choice. With the amazing early spring weather, we opted to sit outside in their patio garden area, which was such a cute and relaxed spot. For food we ordered the bruschetta, whipped goat cheese, and meatballs. The whipped goat cheese was the clear standout--it came with blueberry compote and hot honey so you could go sweet or slightly spicy. The blueberry compote with the goat cheese was honestly to die for. The bruschetta was also really tasty with great flavor, and I appreciated the thinner crostini slices. The meatballs came with three generously sized meatballs and were good, but not quite as standout as the other two dishes. It's also one of the rare spots I actually crave coming to when it gets a little chilly outside because the outdoor fire pits and flannel blankets make it such a cozy fall vibe!
