The place is calm, chill and very intimate, very good place to get to know someone. The drinks were very good . I had the jalapeño margarita it was one of the best I've tasted in Nashville . It is made with peach schnapps to add sweetness to the heat . My one gripe is the service, it was very slow it seemed as if they weren't expecting that many people for just two bartenders. I'm Going back possibly next week lol . This is still a great spot to visit out east .

We always have fun here. We came for brunch and it was sadly, empty, but it didn't stop us from having a good time! We enjoyed several apps, salads, sandwiches, and appreciate that they have vegetarian options as well. We had some tasty bevs and played games (that they have in-house) with our friends. The seating is plentiful and vibe was cozy with the fireplace.

Love and Exile is my favorite spot to hang and get drinks. The playlist ranges from 90 hits to today's biggest hits. The bartenders are the best and take really good care of you. They are the best multitaskers I've ever met. My favorite is the frozen espresso martini! This is a spot you can take a friend or a large group for drinks, conversations, and vibes!

So I went to Love and Exile on a slow night. Not too many people inside or out. I have been before and I enjoy the intimate ambiance of the bar. Service was prompt that evening. They had the tvs playing sports. Baseball on one and the wnba finals on another. Not much of a drinker so I can't speak to the drink menu. But the food was delicious. The meatballs were tasty and you can not go wrong with the wings. I enjoy my experience everytime I go and this time felt 5 star worthy.

This was my first time here and I was immediately in love with the decor and the vibe of the place. They do happy hour all day on Mondays so that's a huge plus. There are drinks and food. I tried their Paloma and their chips and queso. My friend got a prosecco and the whipped goat cheese which was delicious. This would be a great date night spot or to meet up with friends and hang out. They have tvs throughout the bar for gamedays and they have board games at the front for you to play. I will say, it can be very loud inside (due to music not the people there) which can make it hard to talk to the people you are with.

Prosciutto and Goat cheese flatbread should be called Goat Cheese pizza with Prosciutto bits

The ambiance, staff, the bar, and the potential earned this 4 stars. The food flavors almost earned it 3. Chicken Gnocchi Soup 5.5 stars!! This was th first thing we had and it was a very promising start. Meatballs 3 stars. The marinara sauce mixed with balsamic was way too sweet and missed the mark. More parmesan cheese and fresh parsley would have made it better, but less sugar would help too. Prosciutto and Goat Cheese flatbread was also disappointing. These are entrees I was *sure* I would Love based on the ingredients listed but I'm sad they fell short. H-O-T-T-O-D-D-Y was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S and the Me & Yuzu and Gimme that gimlet cocktails were spot on! Would come back for the drinks and chicken gnocchi soup, by quite frankly afraid of trying any other plates based on their description. I'll have to do a close my eyes and point method next time....

Just stopped by for a quick beer, was impressed with the decor, nicer that expected and interesting flavor to the place overall. Full outdoor seating area that felt very roomy and fairly dog friendly. Ordered from the bar, bartender seems nice.

This is prob a top favorite bar in east Nashville for me. I haven't been since I first visit, but you won't be disappointed. Drinks are really good and the overall decor and ambiance of the place is so sultry and pleasing. Service was prompt and the drinks were superb. I highly recommend if you're in the area

Great food and drinks! *Caroline was great and her French 75s did its job!! Looking forward to going back!

Went here for drinks and apps with a couple friends and the food was great! The goat cheese has hot honey and blueberries with it, delicious. The pita bread was soft and the cheeses were good, I wish it came with some sort of jelly/jam, but overall worth it. I ordered a vodka Moscow mule drink and I barely tasted the alcohol, but the flavor was very good. The bartenders were chill and pretty nice. Overall, The atmosphere is why we picked this place. It was so pretty with the colored cloud lights and disco balls hanging from the ceiling. Check it out if you haven't!

Tried this place on a rainy Sunday and so glad we did. It was not very busy yet and we were able to immediately order drinks and food, which were absolutely delicious. I recommend the hummus! The bartender was very knowledgeable and helped us with our drink order. Also, this place has a great atmosphere and is very cute for a girls day, which is exactly what we were looking for!

A vibe always! Love this little spot. Most of the time you have to flag down a waiter or waitress but once you have their attention you are good to go! They have food trucks that pull up but the house food is solid too! Good little pre dinner spot or late night spot .

Love that it's dog friendly and has a large patio. Tbh their patio furniture is a little wonky lol but it does the job. I would give their sushi 3 stars at most, but to be fair I'm a little bit of a sushi snob. The last time few times I've been there I had to go to the bar to order. They have good drinks and overall a cool vibe.

Dill and Ruby the Teddy Roosevelt Rat Terriers loved the vibe, and the meatballs from Jenna, the wonderful, dog-loving bartender!

Are dogs allowed outside?

Totally!! There is even a dog park attached to the patio where pups can roam free, play with toys and most of the time there are plenty of dogs to play with! They are also welcome anywhere else on the patio, even on the couches!

It's a great wine bar with an amazing selection of natural wines, delicious food, the best service, and an amazing ambiance. What's not to like? Sauced works a little bit differently than a lot of wine bars. We walked in and were welcomed right away. When we grabbed seats at the bar (there are also tables), our bartender (I feel terrible that I'm not 100% sure of his name since we had such a great time with him - but I'm pretty sure it was John) asked us about wines we like or are drawn to. They don't have a printed menu - they ask you what you like or are in the mood for and then they they'll pour you tastes until you find something you love. Then they have several fridges of bottles you can purchase and open. And their selection here is also great. We saw bottles by several winemakers we stalk (when we see, we usually buy). The wines our bartender recommended (based on our tastes and preferences) were great, too. They also have a great menu of food items - great for a meal or a snack. We ordered their mortadella sandwich, which will likely go down as one of my favorite sandwiches of the year (great bread, tons of mortadella, pistachio cream, gooey melted cheese)... I think I covered this already, but the service was excellent: attentive (we didn't have empty glasses for long at all before we were involved in a conversion about what we wanted to pour next), friendly, helpful... The bar itself is also great - tons of character: walls with smoke from candles, great lighting, little intimate nooks for seating... I had a great time at Sauced: great wine, great food, a great time. I'm not in Nashville as often as I should be (in laws), but I'd be happy to visit Sauced every time I'm in Nashville. Sauced might be an outpost of a Brooklyn wine bar, but Nashville is still so lucky to have it. Most cities don't have a wine bar as great as Sauced.

While I enjoy getting to talk to the bartender about what I like or may want to try, if they're busy, I don't want to just spend all of our time asking them the price of things. We definitely had a little sticker shock at the end of the night, but this was also my first time here so that could be something I just wasn't expecting! Aside from that, the service and wines were great. So while it isn't somewhere I see myself putting in my weekly rotation, it's a nice option for a special occasion or nicer evening.

The ambience is still nice, but we were seated so close to other tables it was a bit uncomfortable. The server was great (super sweet waitress) but the food was inconsistent. Even she seemed to be aware of this. Here's what we tried: Steak Tartare: 1/10 - Hated it. Worst steak tartare I've had. It tasted literally ONLY of capers and mustard. We couldn't even see the color of the meat. Even our waitress said it was so inconsistent and sometimes bad. Keep in mind they did comp this which was very nice of them. Whipped Ricotta: 9/10 - Okay this was AWESOME. The pita bread was soft, the ricotta was smooth and sweet, and all the toppings on it were just perfect pairings. Chefs kiss. White Bolognese: 5/10 - Pretty mid/bland. Just kind of tasted like pasta with Alfredo sauce and some meat. Eh. Truffle Fries: 5/10 - Standard fries. There is parmesan and truffle at the top but none on any of the middle or bottom fries, so you don't really want to keep eating them. Brussels: 8/10 - Lovely fry on these. They tasted very rich, but could've had more depth to them in my opinion. More crunch perhaps, or even a zingier sauce. Beef tenderloin: 7/10 - I mean it was good beef, but nothing special. The steak just kind of tasted like an average cut of beef. The au jus was good, though, along with the mashed potatoes. Chocolate cherry cake : 4/10 - They offered this to us for free for our anniversary, but I didn't love it. The chocolate flavor was super mild, and the cherry was kind of sickeningly artificial. Not for me. See what I mean now, by inconsistent?

The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.
