Really wonderful wine bar in the heart of the Edgehill neighborhood. Barcelona is a tapas style restaurant with cute low lit ambience. The service is always friendly, though it's sometimes hard to get a reservation and we end up dining late in the night on account of this. Some of their standout dishes include the salad, which always features perfectly crisp vegetables, and the eggplant, which pairs so well with the complementary bread which is served in a bucket and is so fresh and soft! The last time I came here, the food was quite salty, and I was drinking water for the rest of the night, But other than that, I've never had an issue!

Always a great time here! My friends and I decided to do a double date here and it was perfect. The place was crowded in a good way with so much energy. We wanted to try a bunch of items and our waitress suggested the Aperitivo Board, which had a little of everything (picture below). She also helped with the wine pairing.

Food 5 Ambience 5 Service 10 Barcelona Wine Bar is located in the cool Edgehill neighborhood in a historic industrial laundry building sandwiched between several boutiques and restaurants. Inviting outdoor seating greets you on the street but try to grab a seat at the bar or one of the many booths or tables. I prefer tapas dining at the bar and we were not disappointed. Jackie our server, was attentive and so gracious. She listened to our Valentine's Day story and topped off our evening with an anniversary dessert. The wine list is eclectic but not overwhelming and compliments the menu offerings perfectly. Bonus-Valentine cards in the restrooms just in case you forgot to buy one for your special someone!

I've not had Barcelona in years, so it was delightful when a friend and I dropped in while on a walk. It was a Sunday afternoon, so not many people were dining. We got seats at the bar, and everyone was attentive. The restaurant is comfortable - great for anytime of the day. There's some parking in the street in the neighborhood. Love: bacon-wrapped dates (sweet & salty); roasted sweet potatoes (crispy in all the right places, sauce to complement)

I was surprised by how much I liked this tapas restaurant, but it impressed me. Our waitress Paige was wonderful, we were unsure what wine to get and her suggestions were wonderful! They have 1/2 off bottles on Sundays so it's a great deal. My favorite was actually the cauliflower with a garlic sauce, the shrimp, and the mussels. But everything was very good and hot. The olive oil cake was divine and I recommend that too. I love when restaurants put a little extra into their dishes for a special occasion so that was a nice touch. It's a nicely decorated restaurant, and it wasn't too loud to talk. It was busy so get a reservation, and you may need to walk a bit for free parking but there's a paid lot across the street. It's a great date night out, and reasonably priced for a higher end tapas place.

Absolutely love love this tapas place!! This is our frequently date night place. The place is upbeat, lively and beautifully decorated. Every dish is yummy. Rather you sit at the bar or at the table, they will take care you!

This place absolutely lives up to the hype, one of my new favorites. Tapas-style spot with a huge selection of wine and cocktails. Definitely try their Spanish wines -- these are the kind you won't find at the grocery store or local liquor shop. Heads up: main dishes like the paella take about 45 minutes, so order those early. We skipped it this time and just went with tapas since we were heading to a concert afterward. Here's what we tried (and loved): - Mahon Cheese: 4-month aged from the Baleares Islands - Wagyu Cecina: Perfectly smoky with a bold flavor. - Eggplant Caponata: Excellent spread for the bread on the table. - Brussels Sprouts: Crispy, glazed. They're seasonal, but apparently so popular people ask for them year-round. - Albondigas: A must-try, the jamón sauce is incredible. - Pork Belly: Served with a spicy mojo - Jamon & Manchego Croquetas: Crispy on the outside, soft and creamy inside. One of my top picks of the night. - Chorizo with Sweet & Sour Figs: As delicious as it sounds. - Grilled Pulpo: My absolute favorite, tender, smoky, perfectly grilled. - Gambas al Ajillo: Classic garlic shrimp, always a winner. All of it well paired with a bottle of Primitivo Quiles. For dessert, we shared the Basque Burnt Cheesecake and my personal favorite, the Olive Oil Cake, both were fantastic. I've heard great things about their brunch and happy hour, so I'll definitely be back to try those next time. A fantastic spot overall, highly recommended. Make a reservation because it gets busy every day. We went on a Wednesday evening and there was already a waitlist!

Great vibe and ambiance with delicious food. The cocktails, on the other hand, need some work. I started off with a Cosmo that was in a coupe glass and half full, yet I paid $15. My husband's Old Fashioned was extremely small, in a glass with crushed ice rather than one block of ice, and was charged $27 for it!!! That's way higher than even the fine dining we've been to. I moved to the Guns and Roses Sangria which was better and more reasonably priced for what you get. The food was yummy but with all of the small plates it was hard to fit everything on our small table. It was also very loud in the restaurant so I didn't feel like it was a relaxing night out. Parking is also limited and it stays pretty busy so I would recommend a reservation and extra time to park. Service was excellent and all of the food recommendations from the waiter were good. My favorites were the Roasted Chicken, Flank Steak, and the Potatoes. The salad though was phenomenally delicious...very fresh. Overall, it's a fun restaurant and great if you're craving some good tapas!

Our group just stumbled upon this spot and I'm so happy we did! We had a large group but they were able to accommodate us on the patio. I had an espresso martini and it was so delicious and creamy - perfect for me. We ordered a few bites to share around the table and everything was great, especially the charcuterie. Our waitress was also so nice and put up with us coming in late and being a bit loud, much appreciated!

This place is absolutely incredible. It was some of the best food I've ever had. They were about 20 minutes late to seating us (8:30pm reservation), but the food was out very quickly once we were seated. We got the dill carrots, whipped sheep's cheese, roasted chicken thigh, gambas al ajillo, and spiced beef empanadas. This was the perfect amount of food for 2 people. My favorite was the whipped sheep's cheese, but I really enjoyed them all! Barcelona Wine Bar is a chain that I had heard of but never checked out, and now I will be looking for it in every major US city I visit!

We have been to this restaurant before, a few years ago. Again, this place was fantastic. The vegetable paella and their tapas were delicious. We met up with a couple friends this time and they also enjoyed the food. Definitely a fun tapas place to visit with an excellent wine menu. The wait staff provide excellent service, attentiveness and are extremely friendly. We ate outside and the weather was great. We will return again.

Food 5/5 Lamb ordered medium - perfectly seasoned Ed and tender. Cauliflower was nestled ontop on a red sauce and very flavorful. Mussels were juicy and just right! Sangria (red) added a nice touch to our meal. Service 4/5 With reservations we still waited over 20 minutes for seating. This is high volume restaurant and everyone loves to dine here. Waitress Jennifer was nice. Ambiance 4/5 They could use a larger space. Waiting area is tight with high volume of patrons waiting for seating. Dim lighting makes it sexy and fun. I enjoy the vibe.

Barcelona is always going to be a fun, delicious time. Lots of space but reservations are always a good idea because it gets busy! And then later in the evening things get very lively. The wine and food is always good, love this spot.

Ask the Community - Barcelona Wine Bar

Do they serve beer, or just wine and cockails?

    Yes they do!

Are they still currently doing social hour/happy hour?

Sadly no. I went a few weeks ago in the hopes that they were but they seem to have stopped during the pandemic.

    Is there gluten free options?

Yes my roommate has celiac and it is one of her favorite restaurants in Nashville!

Is there a menu for what's on their 3 to 6 happy hour with $4 tapas?

Is There a happy hour, and if so during what times?

    Is there a dress code?

No, but it's kind of a nice place so I wouldn't wear shorts. Jeans & nice top are fine!

Does the Nashville location have the mimosa and Bloody Mary bar?

Are dogs allowed? I have a registered Emotional Therapy Dog.

They do not allow dogs at Barcelona but they are allowed across the street at Edge Hill Cafe, a few blocks away at Fido in Hillsboro Village (at the outside tables), and Bar Louie patio in the Gulch.

Is this from the same restaurant in Atlanta?

    Yes! Same!

Do you need reservations for dinner on a Saturday?

    Is there valet parking?

Yes. Valet parking just began and it is complimentary!!!

It's a great wine bar with an amazing selection of natural wines, delicious food, the best service, and an amazing ambiance. What's not to like? Sauced works a little bit differently than a lot of wine bars. We walked in and were welcomed right away. When we grabbed seats at the bar (there are also tables), our bartender (I feel terrible that I'm not 100% sure of his name since we had such a great time with him - but I'm pretty sure it was John) asked us about wines we like or are drawn to. They don't have a printed menu - they ask you what you like or are in the mood for and then they they'll pour you tastes until you find something you love. Then they have several fridges of bottles you can purchase and open. And their selection here is also great. We saw bottles by several winemakers we stalk (when we see, we usually buy). The wines our bartender recommended (based on our tastes and preferences) were great, too. They also have a great menu of food items - great for a meal or a snack. We ordered their mortadella sandwich, which will likely go down as one of my favorite sandwiches of the year (great bread, tons of mortadella, pistachio cream, gooey melted cheese)... I think I covered this already, but the service was excellent: attentive (we didn't have empty glasses for long at all before we were involved in a conversion about what we wanted to pour next), friendly, helpful... The bar itself is also great - tons of character: walls with smoke from candles, great lighting, little intimate nooks for seating... I had a great time at Sauced: great wine, great food, a great time. I'm not in Nashville as often as I should be (in laws), but I'd be happy to visit Sauced every time I'm in Nashville. Sauced might be an outpost of a Brooklyn wine bar, but Nashville is still so lucky to have it. Most cities don't have a wine bar as great as Sauced.

While I enjoy getting to talk to the bartender about what I like or may want to try, if they're busy, I don't want to just spend all of our time asking them the price of things. We definitely had a little sticker shock at the end of the night, but this was also my first time here so that could be something I just wasn't expecting! Aside from that, the service and wines were great. So while it isn't somewhere I see myself putting in my weekly rotation, it's a nice option for a special occasion or nicer evening.

Despite the hotel setting, it feels a bit more 'for the locals' than lower Broad does these days. So whether you are entertaining out of town guests or want to have drinks Downtown, this just might be the spot you're looking for. I had something to celebrate and I wanted to do so in style. It was mid-spring and the weather was perfect so I wanted to take advantage of the short window. I took a ride share to the hotel bc ain't no one got time for Downtown parking rates and bee-lined it to the Lou/Na elevator at the back of the lobby. Once I hit the rooftop, my Friday night began. The atmosphere is every bit as dark, moody (in a good way) and smartly-illuminated as expected. Since I was here for views and good weather, I asked the hostess for an outdoor table. She obliged and I was soon perched along the edge of the roof, staring into the twinkling lights of our ever-expanding skyline. It was well-past the dinner hour and I was craving something sweet. After chatting with my helpful server, I decided on the creme brulee and an espresso martini. Both were excellent. The brulee had a perfect crust and delectable custard that paired well with the martini that veered closer to dry than sweet. I appreciated that. It showed effort went into making the cocktail. I was in my own head so I minded my business and didn't do too much people watching. Despite the time of year and good weather, the roof wasn't too packed. It wasn't empty but it wasn't bustling. That was fine by me but I'm sure the management would disagree. I would point out that Lou/Na has gotten even more popular since when I visited so I'm confident that the crowd on good weather nights has increased. If that's your thing, head over on a Friday. If not, check it out during the week. But if well-made cocktails in a beautiful environment outside the madness of Lower Broad but still Downtown is on your radar, you know where you need to go and what to do. Lou/Na should be in your rotation.

For the entrees, we split the Spanish octopus and chicken forestiere. Octopus had great flavor, but we found it to be a bit small for its price point. The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.

Cute little place to sip some wine and try some small plates. We tried the Brussel sprouts (half…read moreserving was more than enough!) and the caprese. I thought both were ok, nothing super memorable, but tasty nonetheless. Maybe it was just my taste, but the sprouts were a little too charred for me. Found free street parking not too far from the restaurant. Our waitress gave us good wine recs which I appreciated! I liked all the Van Gogh artwork, especially the paper mache ear!

A friend and I stopped by around 4 PM on a Thursday evening to take advantage of their "Golden Hour" specials. There's a good amount of space to spread out if you have a bigger group, but we just grabbed a few seats at the bar. The owner, Taylor, was also tending the bar during our visit, and he walked us through the concept while also providing thoughtful wine recommendations. We both started with a glass of crisp and cold prosecco, and then switched over to try Vino Volta, which kind of tasted like a good craft beer's bubbly cousin. They even have a few light bites on their menu if you need something to snack on - but since they're located in L&L Market, there's plenty of other food options nearby as well! This is a special place to sit and sip on high quality, curated wines with good company, and I'm confident I'll be back again soon.

Prices for a glass of wine are reasonable as is (I mean, where can you expect to spend less than 14/glass in most cities these days, no less Nashville?), but the Golden Hour is the luxardo cherry on top. We sat at the bar for some late afternoon spritzes and enjoyed speaking with the very knowledgeable owner. His version of a Hugo Spritz is literal perfection.

Originally when I heard about this place I thought hmmm why would I go to a ~just~ a bread place? I thought, Im a girl who likes to eat I need more. Well, this place was suggested by a friend to catch up. I completely miss judged butterlamp- of course, I should've known to give it a try. Located at the back of the building you can enter through going around back or walking through the building. Its a small place, but they have tables and bar seating. The wine menu is glorious. So much to choose from. I like how you order at the bar because it gives you a chance to see what everyone else is drinking as they keep the open bottles up front. I asked the staff what I should order based on wanting a chilled red. They gave me tow options. I chose a Nebbiolo and loved it! We ordered two "bread with stuff". We got the pumpkin and the french onion. Both were amazing! We went at 2 pm so it was the perfect snack. They did have a fairly diverse menu. Music was upbeat and chill and at the perfect volume to have an enjoyable conversation. They also sell loaves of bread to go, which of course we got.

I now know what a jaffle is and can tell you it's a toasted sandwich that you should definitely try. We sat inside since it was a bit chilly but would love to come back again and share some wine and small plates on the patio.

The Authentique truly feels like a little piece of France tucked into East Nashville. The décor, the vibe, hearing so many different languages around us, it honestly felt like being back in Europe. They have one of the most impressive wine lists I've seen in the city, and if you're indecisive like me, the wine flights are the way to go. We did the Tour de France flight, my husband went with the whites, I did the reds, and everything was incredible. The Beaujolais, Pinot Noir, Chards (yes, because we of course shared haha)... just wow. We paired it all with steak tartare (yes, they have French bites too!), plus they offer charcuterie boards, crepes, and more. Definitely coming back for those. Bonus: every Tuesday they host wine tastings at the bar led by their sommelier, each week with a different theme, mostly French and other European wines. tickets can be purchased in their website Huge thank you to Alexander for walking us through the whole concept. We finished the night with a beautiful Blanc de Blanc to toast our anniversary. What a gem in Nashville, can't wait to be back.

We're getting married in Italy so we specifically were interested in the Italian themed tasting, but they do different themes every Tuesday and the owner Alex seems just as enthusiastic about French, Italian, and just any wine really. We ordered the raclette charcuterie board (for 2) which was a special, and it was so fun! You get to melt the cheese right in front of you, and eat at your own pace. And OBVIOUSLY we had to end the night with a Nutella banana crepe, which is the lightest, tastiest thing to ever grace your lips.
