We are from Denver and a friend of mine, native to Nashville, highly recommend Sixty Vines (he also recommended Prince's hot chicken, I ordered the xxx-hot and my entire body is giving my friend a one star review. Sooo hot, anyway) Sixty vines has an amazing vibe you can feel as you walk up the stairs. We were greeted by two hostesses and given a table right away. Our waitress, Julianna, was amazing. Very kind, engaging and knowledgeable. I am very much the person, that when I trust the waitperson, I ask them to bring me what they think is great, don't tell me what it is, dealers choice, surprise me. Julianna brought us a fig and prosciutto pizza, followed by a braised pork shoulder pasta dish and a tequila drink (can't remember the name, my wife had an espresso martini) It was so good. I've been coming to Sixty Vines a lot recently and it's become one of my favorite places to bring people visiting town. The drinks are always great, especially the frozen espresso and the espresso martinis. The salted foam on top of the espresso martini is such a good touch, and I love that the drinks aren't overly sweet. The food has been great too. All of the pizzas are delicious, and the French fry potato stacks with the amazing sauce are a must try. Unfortunately, they were sold out the last time we came, so I'll definitely be back for those. The salads were good, but I do think the portions are a little small for the price. The service is always great, and it's a perfect spot for larger groups. I've been with groups of five or six people both times and it's worked out really well. It may have just been an especially busy night, but that was our only disappointment. There are restaurants where the food is good, and then there are restaurants where you start planning what you're going to order the next time before the check even arrives. Sixty Vines falls into that second category. The first thing that grabbed us was the atmosphere. A great bar, creative cocktails, a fun wine list, and a vibe that makes you want to slow down and stay a while. We started with the beet salad, and wow, those beets were the star of the show. Fresh, perfectly ripe, seasoned beautifully, and every bite had a little pop of flavor. Next came the fig, prosciutto, and arugula pizza. The crust was light and crisp and the combination worked really well. I'll admit, I wouldn't have complained if they had been a little more generous with the figs and prosciutto, but it was still a delicious pizza. We paired everything with a Pinot, which ended up being exactly the right choice for the meal. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. Five stars and we'll absolutely be back. read more

On our second (and last) full day in Nashville, we went to Sixty Vines for dinner. We like to go to at least one "nice" restaurant for dinner while travelling, and we chose Sixty Vines because it had gluten free options. Also, it was conveniently located a short walk from our hotel, within the Assembly Food Hall, near the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. My sister had the Filet Mignon (charred broccolini, cipollini onions, bacon-dijon vinaigrette, black pepper soubise), and I had the Atlantic Salmon (shaved Brussels sprouts, shallot, braised peppers, smoked paprika vinaigrette) with a side of carrots (roasted tri-color carrots, sage brown butter, dill). I also had a small charcuterie board (gouda, pita, almonds, and honey) as a starter, and we shared a cheesecake for dessert. While I didn't love the salmon (I didn't care too much for the flavour profile), I loved the carrots, and overall, I enjoyed my meal. Pricy, but worth the splurge. This is just such a reliable spot for me in Nashville. I have been here for multiple work dinners, a fun brunch or two, and some happy hour apps with friends. It's upstairs in the Assembly Food Hall and has a really nice patio as well as indoor seating. There's also a sneaky little upstairs spot inside for private parties (cool view and I have one of the pictures posted on this review). It's just a pretty restaurant and I'm always happy when I'm here. The food is always good - everything is hot or cold as it should be. There's a vast variety of options depending on what you are looking for, and a lot of it is great to share with a table of friends. Sixty Vines is located atop Assembly Food Hall in the heart of Broadway, but it's so light, open and calm, you'll almost forget you're downtown. You can be seated inside or outside for al fresco dining if you prefer. I did manage to snag a small table with my husband without a reservation on a Tuesday before a Predators game, but I would recommend making a reservation for groups larger than two. Our server was attentive and quick/mindful of the time we had before the game started. I am a carnivore through and through but 3/4 small plates we ordered were meatless and I would highly recommend each of these bites to my vegetarian friends! My favorite tapas of the night included the house made ricotta with honeycomb and the whipped eggplant + chili oil paired with charred cauliflower and pita. I honestly can't stand being on Broadway. BUT if you have to be down there for whatever reason and you are gluten free, this is an excellent choice. I had the fried chicken breast cutlets w/ caviar & the Caesar salad no croutons. Plus basque cheesecake to top it all off. Everything was good. The salad did not give Caesar flavor though. However, it was still good. The Shirley temple wasn't that great. Service was decent. Ambiance is interesting. It's super busy and the space is huge. I don't know it works somehow. I was visiting Nashville and this was the first time I've ever been. I'm sad that I went on my last day because I loved it and probably would've eaten there more than once on my trip. The restaurant itself is huge with both indoor and outdoor seating. Even though it was busy I felt like the service was still pretty good. I sat at the bar that was half outside. Bartenders were friendly and helpful. I really appreciate that they ask about allergies. I have a gluten allergy and there was plenty on the menu for me. I would up getting the filet mignon. I asked for medium well but it was a little more on the well side however still fairly tender and the flavor was delicious!!! It was so tasty I didn't even care how it was cooked. These truffled vineyard fries were out of this world! Every dish I've gotten from here has been spectacular with tons of flavor and great portion sizes. I love how unique their menu is from pasta to proteins to fun desserts. Sixty Vines in Nashville was an overall great experience from start to finish. You will find it up on the third floor of the food hall area, so be ready for a little bit of a walk, but it is worth it once you get there. We were seated in the glass exterior dining area, which ended up being really nice and quaint. The noise level was just right. Not too loud and not too quiet, so you can actually enjoy a conversation without yelling or whispering. For food, we ordered the Brussels, the Wood Grill Bavette Steak, and the Campanelle. All three were excellent. Everything was full of flavor and cooked perfectly, and it really felt like each dish was well thought out, not just thrown together. We also decided to try a couple of their cocktails and went with the Gingersnap Old Fashion and the Winter Spice Margarita. Both were fun, seasonal twists on the classics and they did not disappoint at all. To finish things off, we shared the sticky toffee cake, which was the perfect ending to the meal. We came here before a show at the Ryman and it was perfect. It's literally 60 seconds away. But if you're looking for a lot of seating, great service and astonishingly-low prices for a Nashville restaurant, this might be your spot. For entrees: The pesto pasta stole the show and I regret not getting it. Even the parpardelle was very good, as was the pizza. On our last night in Nashville during a Bachelorette party we had dinner at Sixty Vines. What a fantastic spot! The location is perfect, the restaurant itself is beautiful and had a great energy about it. It's a wide open stylish space. We had a group of twelve and they sat us together at a long table, which was great! A lot of the other places during our trip had to separate us into two groups of six at separate tables.
