First off, this restaurant is inside one of the coolest hotels I've ever seen. It's located in the Union Station Nashville Yards, which used to be a train station, and the building is absolutely stunning. The mix of old-world charm and timeless elegance really sets the tone, and the restaurant itself doesn't fall short, it's beautiful and has such a great atmosphere. I went with a group of seven, and we ordered almost everything on the menu. Some dishes were definite hits, while others I'd skip next time. For appetizers, I highly recommend the Union Station meatballs, handmade burrata, crispy Brussels sprouts, and the Caesar salad. On the other hand, I'd pass on the steak tartare. For entrées, the tagine chicken was flavorful and a crowd-pleaser. The sliced beef was overly salty, and the scallops were underwhelming (only three on the plate). So, a bit hit-or-miss with the mains. One highlight was the wine, we ordered a bottle of their Sauvignon Blanc, and it was excellent. Honestly, getting the bottle is a much better value than ordering by the glass. Overall, the ambience is what makes this place worth visiting. I was very disappointed with this experience. Despite calling ahead, we were never told restaurant guests receive complimentary parking, resulting in an unnecessary charge. Customer service initially promised to reimburse our meal and parking but mistakenly withdrew money from my guest's account. Management later changed their decision to reimburse only the parking, and we still have not received the promised check from our May 19 visit nor a follow-up explanation. The food also did not justify the price, and I would not return or recommend the restaurant. My advice is simple: honor your commitments and ensure guests receive important information before they arrive. I recently dined at Stationary for dinner for the first time and I was blown away! Hotel restaurants aren't always my favorite, but this one doesn't feel like one at all. The unique atmosphere and DYNAMITE food sets it apart from the rest. Additionally, service was above & beyond what I hoped it would be. Mike was my server and he helped explain every section of the menu and answered all of my questions in detail about the menu. Brad was the manager on duty and he checked in on me to ensure everything was to my liking. Seriously, 5-star service! What I ordered: heirloom tomato caprese, Bear Creek hangar steak, lemon balm tart & espresso. Everything I tried blew me away. The appetizer was so unique & flavorful. My steak came out a perfect medium rare, just as requested and it's from a LOCAL farm! Huge points for that. I was so full that I had to take my dessert home but it was the perfect sweet treat when I had it. Sweet but tart and wonderfully balanced. It was pretty stormy outside by the end of my meal so I decided to stay put and sip on some delicious, fresh espresso while Mike invited me to stay and wait out the storm. Awesome brunch experience! Old station transformed into a hotel and a restaurant. Unique and upscale atmosphere and decor, priced accordingly. Service was slow but good. Food and drinks were delicious, we ordered a lot to sample brunch menu. Hours are limited, so I'd plan in advance. We stopped in for a cocktail and a few bites before heading downtown and had such a great experience. Our server, Mike gets a huge shoutout from us! The food was delicious. We ordered the octopus, which was incredibly interesting and unlike anything I've had before. It was made with orange, pistachio, and Alabama white sauce and we was so surprised how well that combination tasted. My husband especially loved the char on the octopus. We also had the blue crab hush puppies, which were amazing.We tried several cocktails from the menu and every one of them was great. The overall vibe of the place is super cute and fun. Honestly, I was surprised it wasn't busier because the service was phenomenal and the food and drinks were excellent. Huge shout out again to Mike for taking such great care of us. Our group was in need of a brunch spot as most places had really long waits and ended up coming to Stationairy. So glad we came by here as it's inside a historic old train station (now a hotel) and had no wait. We were sat within a few minutes and had a nice server. He was a bit busy so service lacked a bit. I ordered an iced latte and the egg scramble with biscuits and potatoes which came with a salad. The coffee was disappointing as it was pure milk. The server had it remade and it was a bit stronger but just tasted burnt and watery. The breakfast was super tasty and fresh. The eggs were delicious as were the biscuit. Eek. I like this hotel but the breakfast hash was bizarre with a heavy creamy Indian curry (I'll smell like onions all day) and tiny diced vegetables, mostly eggplant (I think?). Avocado toast was weirdly massive piece of bread with a thick coat of oniony guacamole on top of it, and salad of wilted old greens. Hope you like onions! read more

We visited the Stationairy restaurant on May 19th, and things went downhill after I sent in a complaint. It went from "Oh we are sorry we'll make things right", to making things worse, by taking money out of my bank account when I was told they were going to reimburse us, apologizing once again, promising to mail a check which I never got, then ignoring us from there. This is what we got from MANAGEMENT, Asst. Director of Outlets and Director of Finance, after we told them about the bad service, website discrepancies, cold food, ambiguity about parking, etc, etc., I would not waste my time going back. IMO, there are restaurants in Nashville where you'll be treated much better. Don't be fooled by the ambiance. read more

Everyone from the hostess to the waitress to the bussers were super friendly and accommodating! Now for the negative .. when we walked in for brunch at about 12, there was a DJ playing house music! It wasn't bad music but just didn't fit the vibe for a Sunday morning brunch. Next, and most importantly was the food.. it was just ok. The menu items were interesting and we were excited to try the breakfast but it was just ok. The eggs were bordering cold, the coffee mug was sooo hot and coffee was ok, and the rest fine. I'm not sure I got the right drink (it was so sweet it was hard to drink), but I was afraid to send it back because I didn't know how long a replacement would take. Just so you know... Jennifer Corban Jarrell doesn't recommend Stationairy. I made a New Year's Eve reservation for dinner on 9/22/25 and received confirmation of the reservation the same day. Yesterday, 11/18/25, Stationary cancelled my reservation to accommodate a now scheduled private party....with no help for the problem they caused me. The manager was to get back to me, and guess what, he didn't. If this is their idea of customer service, I'm glad they're not getting my money. Absolutely loved the brussels, some of the best I've had, as well as the Tandoori cauliflower which was crispy and so flavorful. Disaster! I am writing this at 3AM while sick beyond belief with food poisoning! And no, I had nothing alcoholic to drink. The drink was my boyfriend's. We enjoy slow, lingering dinners but this one was an absolute goat rodeo! Everything was fine until about 30 minutes after placing our entree order, the server comes to us and says I let the kitchen know your order but just to be sure you had the sliced tenderloin and trout? Yes, we did. Fifteen minutes later the waiter informs me that the chef says they're out of the tenderloin, so I needed to make a new selection. I then choose the Company Cut Ribeye. And so we continue our wait. At this point, we have been at the restaurant for an hour and forty minutes. After they slaughtered the cow & caught the fish, we were able to chow down or so we thought. My ribeye arrives beyond chewy and just not good! The potatoes were burnt but ended up being the only thing I ate besides a couple bites of meat. My boyfriend's trout was actually salmon and overcooked. Disappointed especially with the prices. My boyfriend enjoyed his hummingbird drink. He stated it was a good value. During the dinner, the floor was chaos. We witnessed waiters bringing out the wrong dishes to multiple tables, a server's breakdown, and servers complaining how busy and hectic it was tonight. But let's be real, it wasn't that busy but it was nerve wrecking watching the chaos. The ambiance was glorious though--breathtaking architecture! Stationairy is located inside of the union station (formerly a railroad terminal). We had a reservation at 12:45 but note that the kitchen closes at 1:50. The space is a very intimate upscale feel with a relaxed vibe. We started with some spiced pear mimosas. Tastes like a bubbly apple cider, 4/5 on the sweetness scale. Overall the food was okay. The crispy brussels sprouts were a good combination of sweet with a little tang. The shrimp and grits were average. The chicken biscuit was my favorite but the potatoes were pretty bland. It was a fine experience, I'm torn if I'd ever go back here but next time I'd definitely do an earlier reservation to not have to feel so rushed! read more

Service was good but very slow on the snow day that we chose to get out to use an offline offer. The brunch cocktail was on point. My husband held the yellow cotton candy over his coffee and it melted right into it. I tried something out of the box pastrami hash. We just got back from our trip to Nashville. We made a reservation to have dinner here. We didn't know what to expect since there is little information about it. It is set in the old train station on Broadway and the ambience is great. We had an amazing experience here. It was beyond expectations. From the greeting to the thank you , it was perfect. Our server was outstanding making all the right recommendations to our group. The food was prepared and cooked perfectly. The presentation was second to none. The chef even came out to inquire on our meals. The appetizers , main meals and the desserts were all top notch. I would highly recommend making this a must when you visit Nashville. I waited to write this review because I always want to give everyone the most accurate information regardless of MY preferences and likes. I know everyone has their own opinions. I landed on giving this beautiful place 3 stars because it WAS very beautiful, and the ambiance was great. I DID have to use one of the large pillows on the couch to sit on so the table wasn't just under my chin level, but I'm kind of short, and with how cushy the chairs were it ended up not being a comfortable eating height. The menu looked like it was probably very very delicious however we never got a chance to taste it. Our server seemed new and overwhelmed with a large table near us. We waiting almost 15 minutes for our water and after another 10 minutes I had to flag him down to try to order a drink. My sister and I decided to get a bottle of wine and split it so we didn't have to wait for every drink. But when I finally found our server and made eye contact he said they were out of the wine we want. Before we could spit out what we want to eat...again, so as not to have to wait so long just to get him back...he was gone again. We waited about another 10-15 minutes just to get another glimpse of him so we could waive him over to tell him we were leaving. Every worker there was very pleasant, even our server...he seemed very aware he was being grossly neglectful. He was never ever rude and smiled often. The restaurant was not super busy when I went so I was very quickly seated. The table that had a low sofa-like seat which made the table feel a bit too high which I didn't love. It was difficult for me to feel like I was seated comfortably. Nevertheless, I was greeted by a nice waiter who told me about the menu and specials. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted and since they weren't very busy, the waiter came over multiple times to figure out if I knew what I wanted. It was a bit annoying because I don't like to be rushed, but appreciated his attentiveness. Eventually, I decided to go with the handmade burrata and crispy brussel sprouts. The burrata came with pistachio pesto, blackberry mash, and grilled sourdough. I found the outer shell of the burrata to had have a strange texture and the sourdough to be a little over toasted. I also found the flavors of the burrata, pesto, and blackberry mash didn't mix all that well together. As for the Brussels, I found them to be just the right amount of crispy and flavorful. Such a shame, this place is so stellar on the food & ambiance front, but the service was so lacking that it ruined the experience completely. First of all, the hotel lobby & restaurant are STUNNING. So light-filled & airy with gorgeous high ceilings. It's right off Broadway yet quiet & serene. Drink list only has three signature cocktails, but they're good ones. Highly recommend Lost In Paris. We started with the whipped sheep's cheese, which was an absolutely massive portion for $12 & so delicious. We also got the NY strip, which was fantastic as well, and the fried Brussels sprouts. All the food was great & actually, the portions are so large that the prices are pretty reasonable. Unfortunately, we were completely neglected with regard to service. Our waiter was super friendly & conversational, but he clearly was chatting forever with every customer every time he visited a table, and had no sense of urgency whatsoever. I notoriously love a long, unrushed meal, but our waiter literally did not come back to our table for an HOUR after we received our food. There were only four parties including us in the entire restaurant that night. We literally ended up staring at our waiter for 15 minutes straight because we had been waiting to pay for over half an hour. Have been wanting to try this place for brunch every time I visit Nashville. Decided to dine here recently. Showed up around 11am and was told there was a two hour wait, which we fully understood given it was a weekend. But we immediately checked Opentable and were able to get a reservation for 11:30! Upon getting our seats, we noticed plenty of open tables, no way was there a 2 hour wait. That as the least of our problems! Our server was really nice, but very slow. He seemed more interested in taking care of the larger bachelorette party that was just seated than taking care of us. The "make your own" Bloody Mary took 25 minutes, for just a glass of ice and vodka. All while we've actually seen another table receive a second round of drinks. The waiter then got defensive when asked where our drinks were. The Bloody Mary garnishes were a joke, half were not refilled. Had to ask the bartender for Bloody Mary mix as it was out. The food did come out promptly and was tasteful, that was the only positive about our experience. Paying the check also took forever despite the restaurant only being half full.
