No, it's not cheap. It's located in the hotel in which I was staying, so it was very convenient. I'm not a fan of the hotel breakfast buffet where the patrons are still in their pajamas devouring whatever is under the heat lamps, crockpot's, etc. Because of that, I don't mind paying a little extra for a nice dining experience to start off the day. The service was very good every time I ate there (at least 4 times). They were very courteous and accommodating. The food was excellent. For being later on a Friday night (granted, after the Nashville ice storm chaos), they weren't at all busy; my date and I walked right in and got a table. I enjoyed the canned paloma hard seltzer I ordered along with the $8 hot chicken grilled cheese burrito, which was served with tomato bisque. The burrito was flavorful and filling, and as a soup fan, the tomato bisque pairing really made it for me. I ended up taking half the burrito home as leftovers and would return for any future themed specials! Service felt genuine and friendly, making it a great low-key night out. Stopped in recently during Nashville, Hot Chicken Week and was very pleased with everything. Staff was very friendly and was quick to sit/take food orders. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Week Burrito and it was very good. Definitely something you may need help finishing. I asked the server what drinks they recommend to compliment the meal and I decided on getting a gimlet. It was very well balanced and worked well with the food. Overall experience was great; not too busy where you can't hear others talk but also not a ghost town either. We stay at the hotel for conferences and so the convenience of the restaurant here is a mainstay. I have only eaten breakfast meals here. I had the chorizo frittata and the avocado toast with bacon and scrambled eggs, and a side of potatoes. Everything was quite flavorful and filling. Don't let availability fool you. This little alcove in The Westin had lovely food for a recent holiday brunch - and they were able to squeeze in a party of 4 at the last minute. The buffet spread wasn't elaborate but what they offered was all nicely done. House-smoked salmon was great, with usual options kicked up a notch like sour cream scrambled eggs and Applewood bacon, and other options like sirloin and smoked Brussels spouts. Lots of fresh fruit and fresh squeezed juice. They offered fresh pastries, including delicious macarons, and good strong coffee. And of course, cocktails. Pro: Staff is super nice and professional Big projector and screen playing country music videos (its Nashville, cmon). Not that loud you can still talk at the tables/bar Custom: The restaurant customized my low carb eating preference at breakfasts which was awesome! Cons Bathrooms are down the stairs and around the corner ant not part of the bar/rest. Yes this is my complaint, petty it could be but personally not a fan. Went for breakfast while staying at the Westin. The coffee is gross, tasted burnt. Multiple people were complaint about it. We ordered our breakfast and it never came. Tables around us came and left and we still didn't get our food and our server never checked on us. We finally waived someone down to check on our order... it was never cooked. Finally got our food, no sorry or anything. The service was horrible, no drink refills, we eventually had to get up and refill our own drinks. As a guest of the hotel you would assume an in house restaurant with such steep prices would be a phenomenal experience, (side note it's not) They were a gracious staff but the food was atrocious . I ordered the burger medium -medium rare and got an overly well done burger back that was completely charred on the outside . Had a very awful taste and almost tasted sour for a burger, such as possibly old or bad meat. I asked for a replacement as we were getting ready to leave in a to go box to take back to the room. Surprise surprise I was given the same thing and now just after the few bites I took from the separate burgers I am wretched in stomach pain now with a wallet that is 100 dollars lighter. read more

Tonight is bitter cold out, and am staying in the new Westin downtown. Too cold to venture out for dinner, so decided to eat at the hotel. The decor is gorgeous. Everything gold and shiny. I think the restaurant has only been open a couple of weeks, and you could tell because I was the only customer sitting at the bar and there was only one table seated in the dining room. The staff were super friendly. I started with a vodka and water to drink. Good drink but of course it's an easy one so not much to comment on. Then I ordered the white bean and mushroom soup. Came out in about 10 minutes. I was surprised the white beans were all pureed in the soup but it was good, just not what I expected. I ordered the crab cake entree (pictured) which included one large crab cake on three potatoes and a spread of cream corn. Since it didn't include a green veggie besides some garnish, I also ordered a side of grilled vegetables. The crab cake was good- big pieces of actual crab and flavor was on point. Great quality. Potato was pretty standard, and cream corn was fine. I was surprised by the side of grilled vegetables - it was okra and cauliflower, which are unexpected vegetables, and were in almost a butter sauce. They didn't seem grilled at all. I don't think I would order them again as I was hoping for a healthier side without an oil or sauce, but it was tasty. All in all, the food was good, the decor was good, and I see the restaurant losing its awkward newly opened feel pretty quickly. My bill came in at $60 before tip for my vodka water ($11), soup ($9), crab cake ($30), side of veggies ($7), which is a little high but not unheard of in a city like Nashville. read more

Came here for breakfast every morning when staying at the Westin. The hostess and servers were always friendly and accommodating. Some knew what was gluten free, some just said they can make it gluten free. Either way, it is a safe place for a gluten-free diet, and the portions are very generous.
