Consistently good. Every time I come to Nashville, I specifically stop at Snooze AM for breakfast in East Nashville. My primary reason is the non-dairy pancakes that my son gets due to his metabolic condition, which required a liver transplant at 8 weeks old. On this trip, I encountered Brandon, who certainly went above and beyond to ensure my son's needs were taken care of, and my dining experience was memorable. The food was great, Branson made sure our hash browns were crispy, which is usually not done well (except for the Snooze in Denver -they perfected them). My only disappointment was the removal of the pork belly Benedict. I was really anticipating that dish, but was saddened to find it was no longer available. I fully acknowledge that this is a first-world-problem-style rant. The food at Snooze is good. I like Snooze. But I need someone to explain to me WHY, when ordering pancakes online or through DoorDash, I have to specifically request SYRUP. Syrup is not an optional pancake accessory. Syrup is a REQUIREMENT for eating pancakes. Without syrup, you have essentially delivered me dense, dry bread blocks. This is like delivering someone a fountain drink without a straw and then saying, "Well, you didn't specifically request a straw." My friend, the straw is part of the infrastructure required to consume the beverage. THE SYRUP IS PART OF THE PANCAKE INFRASTRUCTURE. I actually called the restaurant because I assumed the syrup had simply been forgotten. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. Nope. Apparently the policy is that unless you expressly request syrup, you do not receive syrup for your pancakes via DoorDash. Okay. Is that clearly stated in the description when you order the pancakes? Nope: see photo. You just order pancakes, like a normal person, reasonably assuming that the substance traditionally served WITH PANCAKES will accompany them. So now I'm sitting at my desk, staring down five straight hours of back-to-back meetings, with a container of dry pancake bread blocks that I cannot properly eat because I failed to anticipate that ordering pancakes does not automatically include the thing required to turn them into actual pancakes. Again: good food. Ridiculous policy. Snooze, please. Do better. Just give people syrup with their pancakes. read more

This place was about a 5 minute walk from our hotel so we walked there one of the days we were in Nashville and it was a great choice! My friend and I started with the 'Bacon But Different' appetizer which was just bacon with rubbed with brown sugar, cayenne, chili flakes and drizzled with house-made sriracha maple syrup. This bacon definitely had a kick, but it was delicious. My friend and I both had the Biscuits and Gravy which was Southern-style toasted biscuit smothered in house-made rosemary sausage gravy, served with two sunny-side up cage-free eggs. It was so good! You really can't go wrong with biscuits and gravy. The portion was a good size. The decor in this place is super fun and bright. As someone who embodies "Snooze in the A.M." as a lifestyle choice, I am never hyped to get up in the morning and eat. But shout out to Yelp - I found Snooze, an A.M. Eatery! Suddenly I was hyped. Started off with a Boozy Strawberry Lavender Lemonade for me (I don't drink alcohol, but exceptions were made), and OMG French Toast for the table. I pivoted to the Boozy Blackberry Mint Limeade for a second dreamy beverage treat. The server sensed that one wasn't hitting the same (the limeade was SOOOO strong), so she swapped it out for me--back to another Boozy Strawberry Lavender Lemonade! Without me asking. Figuring out what the diner needs and handling it before the diner asks (or was never going to change) - that's service! Brunch food I went for the Protein & Veggie Egg White Omelet and OMG, the chicken sausage in this thing was next-level. I even tried to make chicken sausage when I got home--and nailed it. Despite being called a "bird of an eater," I finished the entire omelet too because *determination* ya'll. The vibe was as hoped for, the outdoor seating was chill, and even my picky eater companion finished her Goldilocks porridge which looked warm, nutritious, and satisfying. I love the vibe of this place. It feels like what an old 50s diner might have looked like when it was new and not faded over the past 3/4s of a decade. Retro throwback perfection. The staff was great, super friendly and on it with the recomendations. I got the Sweet Potato Pancakes which were delish. I loved the hint of ginger in the butter. My friend got the protein bowl which actually looked better in person than the photos on the website (which is so rare!). We had a great experience at Snooze! The service was warm and friendly--although we did have to wait a bit for our water, the incredible food more than made up for it. Our server, Al, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict along with the green chile Benedict featuring shredded beef. The spices were absolutely mouthwatering--some of the best flavors I've had in Nashville! Easily one of the top Benedicts I've ever tasted. My husband got the Denver omelette, which he generously shared with me, and it was just as delicious. The side of fresh fruit rounded out our brunch beautifully. We'll definitely be back--though hopefully when it's not quite so busy. Expect a 20-30 minute wait on weekends, but it's totally worth it. The location is super convenient, but avoid paying for parking--it's overpriced. Just drive around the neighborhood and you'll likely find a free spot. We have been to Snooze a couple times, it has not disappointed. This last time, I had the Benny dual, it is a combination of any two of their eggs benedict. It was extremely good, highly recommend and the hash browns were great. My wife had the corn beef hash which she really enjoyed. Our server, Riley was great. He was friendly and kept us updated on when our food was coming out. It was very busy on a Sunday morning, but it did not take too long to get seated and the wait was not too bad to get our food. Snooze clearly cares. The coffee was excellent. The server was fabulous. The hot chocolate came with a smiley face drawn in syrup for the kids. The general manager came out at the end with a recovery plate, genuinely trying to make it right. These are good people doing good work. But the menu is an argument with itself. They have a section called "The Art of Hollandaise." It is, in every measurable way, a scream for culinary attention. Cream cheese hollandaise. Smoked cheddar hollandaise. Habanero cream cheese hollandaise. Very creative. Very much not hollandaise. So I asked the server: do you have actual hollandaise? No. Do you have anything on the menu that's just plain breakfast? There was one thing. Eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast. One. Item. My kids ordered strawberry shortcake pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes. They were so loaded with stuff -- so aggressively, sweetly there -- that neither of them could finish. And these are kids who will eat sugar straight from the bowl. I was going to pass on eating entirely, because honestly, the menu didn't work for me, but the server talked me into ordering eggs over easy. Over easy means whites cooked firm, yolks runny. I've learned to spell it out because apparently it's a different language in every region. What arrived was over medium with a brown, lacy, crunchy crust all over it. The kind of crust I specifically didn't want. I sent it back. Politely. The GM appeared 45 minutes later with a corrected plate that actually looked good. Too late. Here's the thing: Snooze is not a bad restaurant. The people are genuinely nice. The service is sharp. But the menu doesn't live in reality. It's a beautiful fever dream where simple breakfast went to culinary school and came back unable to just be breakfast. You don't need to improve the people. Your people are top notch. You need to improve the menu. Give people the plain thing they asked for. Maybe keep the artistry, but also keep the basics. You're trying very hard. Try a little less hard. read more

I arrived around 7:30 a.m., and the restaurant was empty. The staff immediately welcomed me in and were very friendly throughout my visit. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes, a side sausage patty, a biscuit, and a French toast latte. My food arrived in about 15 minutes, which was perfectly reasonable, and my waitress was kind and attentive. As you can see in the photos, the pancake portion was generous--two large pancakes that were fluffy and flavorful. They were sweet, but not overly sweet. My only complaint is the syrup portion. They serve it in a very small metal ramekin, and for pancakes this size, I think at least two or three are needed. I asked for another, but it's something they may want to consider. The biscuit was also very good. It was sliced and toasted, with a fluffy texture and great flavor. The butter served with it paired nicely, adding just the right amount of saltiness. The sausage patty was solid as well--larger than what most restaurants serve and nicely seasoned with a good amount of spice. The only slight disappointment was that the side order included just one patty, though for most people that would probably be enough. The French toast latte was unfortunately the weakest part of the meal. It wasn't very hot when it arrived, and it came topped with a piece of French toast that was so hard it was essentially inedible. I drank most of the latte, but it had an unexpected spicy finish that I wasn't a fan of. I have attached my receipt as well. For a breakfast for one, I found the price to be on the higher side, especially when compared to places like Pancake Pantry and Eggstravaganza Cafe, where the portions are often larger and offer a bit more value for the money. Overall, this is a nice establishment with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. As someone who pays attention to restaurant bathrooms, I was also impressed by the men's restroom--it was clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant aesthetic. I really wanted to love this place but I wouldn't say it's currently worth the effort. We used the online wait list, so we waited about 50 mins total for a table (30 before we got there, then another 20 to be seated). It look 1 full hour to actually get our food. This is not an exaggeration. The food was fine. I got the hashbrown bowl, my friend got the classic, and we split a pancake sampler and the habanero pork belly. The Pork Belly was actually great. Everything else was honestly just okay. The hashbrown bowl was pretty bland. Though it came with an insane amount of Hashbrowns. The hot sauces on the table were pretty good. Tons of flies everywhere which was hard to ignore. Solid coffee and very nice employees. You get 1.5hrs free parking (scan QR code at check in)but since we were there for almost 3hrs we had to pay an additional $15 for the back lot. I ordered Snooze for delivery so I cannot comment on service and will not comment on food temps (because that's unfair). However, I will say my order was EXACTLY as I ordered it. Not one item was forgotten or felt skimped on. They even made sure to use an allergy marker for my pancake! I loved the kids option for the pancake, because I don't want a massive pancake or multiple pancakes most of the time. I was one small/normal size with some sides. The kids option comes with milk/juice, a small pancake of your choice (I did blueberry), hashbrowns, and a fruit cup. The pancake was delicious and I loved the addition of the blueberries. The include butter was soft and a little sweet (which works well for pancakes). The syrup I believe is their own blend and it has great maple flavor! This is one of the top fruit cups I've had as well. Not filled with melons or grapes but instead pineapples and berries (likely using some of the pancake toppings - which is so smart). I added on bacon but different and it was amazing! Sticky, a little heat, a little sweet, and a little salty! A great balance! I also was oddly craving grits so I added a side and they are actually perfectly seasoned - which I was expecting to doctor them up because most grits are bland but these are great! Snooze might be the name, but I didn't realize it also described the pace of the service. I came in excited to try this place because the vibe is great and the menu looked amazing. Unfortunately, everything moved incredibly slow from start to finish. It took a long time just to be greeted, drinks were delayed, and our food took so long we honestly started wondering if our order had been forgotten. The food itself was solid once it finally arrived, which made it even more frustrating because this place has real potential. But when you're spending most of your time waiting with little communication from staff, it takes away from the whole experience. I totally understand that places get busy, but a little urgency or even just updates would have made a big difference. I really the loved the chicken sausage that came with my classic breakfast. The hash browns also had great flavor. The omelet was good too. Now for the pancake trio - the signature version comes with a strawberry, cinnamon, and pineapple upside down pancakes. The pancakes are very good, kind of soggy because of all the sauce, but very, very sweet. I was only able to have a few bites of each.
