    Chicken & Waffles

Came here for breakfast. The coffee is hot and the service is very friendly. We shared a chicken and waffle, which was amazing. A little bit spicy a little bit sweet and a lot a bit good. Also shared biscuits and gravy with eggs, amazing. Flavors were beyond delicious.

My husband and I are in town from Phoenix to see "The Birth of the King." We found 1 Kitchen on Yelp and chose to eat here because it advertised farm to table dining which we love. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite attractive with a lot of attention to detail ....beautiful plants, cozy evening lighting and wooden elements. Our waiter, Shreyas was absolutely outstanding! One of the best parts of the experience. He was warm, kind and attentive. He gave drink recommendations to accompany our food choices & meal selection recommendations. My husband ordered the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and the calamari. I ordered the mushroom ragu with beef and the roasted cauliflower. Everything was fabulous....by far our best meal in Nashville.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. I had a great burger. They had fantastic bread and butter pickles on the burger. Crisp lettuce and a form tomato. 10/10 I highly suggest you drop by. Lighting and music were on point! Great selection of booze in the bar of that's your thing.

Wow, this place is amazing! You'll wanna live here, the vibe is so great. I loved the food; it was one of the best meals we had in Nashville this trip. Everything was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. The service is super nice and helpful. It's not super speedy, but it's not slow either, and I love the vibe with the low lights and everything. It's really well thought out, and you definitely have to check it out. It's just a short walk from the main stuff and the bars, so it's easy to find. We also liked that it's not right on the busy street. You step away a little, and you get some peace and quiet, which is awesome.

Great spot! Very earthy aesthetic and great for dietary restrictions. The fried chicken is gluten free and it is fantastic. Juicy, crunchy, perfectly cooked and well spiced. I got the chicken and waffles and the whipped ricotta was a great pairing with it. My partner got the sandwich and fries and also really enjoyed it. Loved their lattes as well but not impressed with the cold brew. Service was good as well! Will definitely be back next time we are in Nashville, it was probably my favorite dish of the trip!

This was my first visit to 1 Kitchen, and I had high hopes--especially given the beautiful ambiance and aesthetic of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations . We ordered the shrimp à la plancha, Black Hawk beef teres major, burger, calamari, and Brussels sprouts. Of all the dishes, only the Brussels sprouts and burger were enjoyable. The rest of the food was either underseasoned or poorly cooked, which was disappointing considering our bill came to $250. On a positive note, our server was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and professional, which helped make the experience a bit more pleasant. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning, as the food simply didn't justify the price.

This restaurant is top notch. If you are visiting Nashville make sure you stop in to this restaurant. The decor is amazing and the ambiance is top notch. During breakfast they have a dj playing vinyl records never experienced a dj playing from vinyls. Our server Star was attentive and patient with us. We enjoyed our visit and everything tasted great. You will not be disappointed if you grab breakfast, lunch or dinner.

1 Kitchen had a wonderful, upscale atmosphere, and the waiters were all extremely friendly. The food was good, but nothing out of this world. Not a bad dinner, though. Here's what I tried: -Brussel Sprouts: 7/10 - I really liked the added sweetness of the dates and the saltiness of the bacon, but I felt like there was too much dressing/vinegar, which took away from the crispiness of the sprouts. I can never hate a sprout, though. Still great. -Hush Puppies: 5/10 - I wanted to like these more than I did. This isn't something I would normally order but it was recommended by our waiter and the table next to us. The hush puppies were well cooked but they really were just run of the mill. They looked more interesting than they tasted. -Scallops: 7/10 - I loved the leek puree under the scallops, but I wish the scallops were more buttery and that the sauce had been a bit richer. The crispy decorations on top were a nice touch, though. -Chicken Bolognese: 8/10 - My favorite dish that we had. It was simple, but well executed. The pasta shape was fun (mid-length twisty noodles), and the sauce was creamy and meaty. I wouldn't go again but I walked out feeling satisfied!

Nice patio view. Love this tee tiny lamp.

Loved it! But really. The prices omg. $14 for one slice of bread with bone marrow butter. This was delicious and the bread melted in your mouth, but I just think one slice of bread is really a rip off. $37 for three scallops / they were good, but just overpriced. The halibut was a little bit dry, so the waitress was really nice and brought us a complementary chocolate dessert, which was delicious

We were staying at 1 Hotel. We went down to the in-house restaurant for a late breakfast. I thought we'd be hitting the brunch. We hit the brunch menu but were too early for vinyl brunch - a dj spinning an eclectic selection of actual albums! The restaurant website says it starts at 7 but it definitely starts a lot later. We met the DJ while waiting for our car upon checkout. I'm really sorry we missed him. I ordered the omelette with fresh mozzarella and fine herbs. I added a side of bacon and substituted fingerling potatoes for the salad. The omelette arrived quickly. It was a little strange looking - exceptionally smooth - I'm not sure if it was fresh eggs or the liquid stuff from a carton. I was expecting herbs. You'll see in the photo that there were maybe 5 tiny pieces of parsley ( I guess) as a tiny garnish. There was more Parsley sprinkled on the potatoes. The potatoes were supposed to be crispy and garlic. They were neither. I brought them home, I'll throw them in the air fryer and then they should be crisp. When served I asked for my side of bacon. It was broken into bits and added to the center of the omelette. Even after all of that, you're still considering the omelette. Don't. It definitely wasn't that good and for $18 (just the basic omelette) it's not worth it. My husband ordered the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake was very small and pretty much swallowed by the bun. I thought it was risky of him to order a crab cake when we had only been home from Baltimore a week. He said it wasn't bad - it probably would have been really good had he not just had his fill in Maryland. Where our food (especially mine) fell flat, our service was stellar. Our server was a young man who was new to the States from Ukraine. We asked him about his homeland and he told us about his family. He told us about what he likes about the United States and about some of the things he's looking forward to doing. We wish him well and will keep his family in our prayers. Will we come back to 1 Kitchen for brunch? Only if it's included in our room rate. For $70 (without alcohol), we could certainly do better.

Every dish felt thoughtfully put together, and a few really stood out. I've been on the hunt for more black sesame treats, and the raspberry sherbet with cremolata and salted black sesame seed butter was exactly what I was looking for--the most perfect, not-too-sweet dessert. Creative, balanced, and completely unforgettable. I'd go back just for that. The stracciatella on toast was another standout--simple but incredibly well executed. My second favorite dish was the lightly roasted snap pea with fennel, spring onion, and chili--fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. So good. The linguini and clams was decent, but didn't quite hit the same level as the other dishes. It leaned a bit too al dente for my taste, and the flavor felt a little on the bland side. Overall, an incredible dining experience with standout dishes and impeccable service. Try this when you're in Germantown.

Grouper was 10/10; this was our favorite dish - we were eating the sauce with a spoon at the end! Linguine 9/10; lemony, light, creamy, flavorful Mafalde 9/10; the breadcrumb on top was wonderful and the sauce was amazing. Ours had several big mussels. Sourdough bread 7/10; average crusty bread, didn't taste much "seaweed" in the seaweed butter On the expensive side, but in my opinion worth it for a special occasion with great service and great bites.

The menu had a really nice variety, and everything we ordered tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared -- the combination of flavors was incredible. The service was great as well. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations when we weren't sure what to order. The inside was clean, however, isn't as lavish as some of the other restaurants we went to, and it was fairly loud at the start of our dinner, but the food and service made up for those things. We left wishing we would be able to come back again -- and that says a lot! Not pictured: roasted cauliflower appetizer -- also highly recommend

We stopped in around 5:30 PM for happy hour which is only at the bar. The cocktail is the bartender's choice and today that was a pomegranate lemon drop. It was the perfect blend of sour with a sugar rim that gave it a nice sweetness. Our reservation was at the chef's table, which is overlooking the kitchen. Perfect if you're dining alone or want what amounts to dinner and pretending you're on any of the popular cooking shows on TV. I started with that edge salad and then got the salmon for my entrée. The edge salad was a nice blend of creamy blue cheese chunks and a citrus tang with arugula and radicchio. What a great way to get your veggies! The chef recommends the salmon be cooked to medium, which was fine with me. It came on a sweet potato beignet with an orange citrus glaze and a reduced soy drizzle. It was phenomenal with the flavors being balanced and the textures on point. For dessert, we split the matcha pavlova with a mascarpone cream, perfectly ripe sliced strawberries, a scoop of strawberry sorbet and yuzu gel. My husband got the chef's special which was an elevated "fish and chips" -halibut with potato wedges and spring peas. My bite of this was delicious and from my vantage point I could see that this was the most popular entree coming out of the kitchen tonight. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation here!

The small signage made it a little difficult to find inside the Marriott (see pictures), but from the moment we walked in, heard the live piano player and saw the dining area - we knew this would be a great experience. We started off by sharing orders of Lobster Bisque (see picture) and Burrata with Toast (see pictures). We really enjoyed both of them - the Lobster Bisque was so creamy and smooth and the Burrata was cool, fresh and clean. They were a great combination to start our dinner experience and I would recommend both of them. Since it was a Friday during lent, my wife opted for the BBQ Shrimp Pasta (see picture) and I went with the Daily Fish Special on Blue Corn Grits (see picture). As we always do when we go out, we shared our plates and really enjoyed both of them. The BBQ Shrimp Pasta was rich, buttery and smooth and the Fish Special was a tasty white, flaky and blackened fish served on a bed of rich, creamy blue corn grits. Here again, both are highly recommended. While it is one of your more expensive area stops for dinner, you will appreciate the food quality and presentation at Gannons Nashville for your next special occasion.
