This place has a super cute vibe and ambiance. I love the large doors when you walk through and the dim lighting is nice. It's a romantic setting actually, even though I was here for a business dinner. Our server had a lot of positive energy, which I loved. He was super helpful and checked in often. We ordered the milk bread appetizer (I popped two lactaids for this) and the tomato salad. The milk bread was good but definitely not worth the lactaid lol I would give it an 8 out of 10, but keep in mind that I did not try the butter spread. That may have changed the game. The tomato salad tasted really fresh but desperately needed salt and pepper. With the salt and pepper, I would give it a 9 out of 10. The croutons could have been crispier--they came off a bit stale, probably from sitting in tomato and oil. But the salmon--now this was delicious. It was perfectly crispy and seasoned. Soooo good! And the greens it came with were pleasantly flavorful. I would definitely give this a ten. But if I had to give any feedback, I would suggest putting a few potatoes or something on the plate to round it out. read more

Came here for burger week with my girlfriends. First of all, love the decor and design of the restaurant, the theme from the hotel is carried out beautifully amongst the hotel and rooftop. Love all the live plants. The service was really good! Our waitress Molly was so attentive and accommodating. Came here on a Tuesday evening, not crowded, was really able to enjoy. We started off with the Brussel sprouts and hush puppies, sooo good. We all ordered the burger and shared truffle fries. Both were really good. Im not a fan of the pimento cheese, but the way it was prepared on the burger, perfection. We sat outside on the beautiful patio, the weather was perfect for it! Our server - i forgot her name - and her service was flawless. Drinks were quickly refreshed, we always had the needed silverware, dishes were quickly cleared. We got a ton of food. The hush puppies were good. The hummus chips were perfect. The burger was juicy. The fries could of used some seasoning for sure. The beet salad was delightful. The salmon was AMAZING. Crispy skin, juicy, flavorful. The pickled onions were a nice touch. Everyone enjoyed everything. We a couple peaches and waffles for dessert. The waffle was hot. The ice cream didn't taste homemade. We came here for a friend's 30th birthday! The only reason this place is getting 3 stars is because our server was really great and the vibes were really cool. So I will start with that-- the place felt like a jungle! I loved the dim lighting. Our server, Michael, was absolutely fantastic. He was so sweet, very patient with us and it was his birthday!! Happy Birthday again!! The menu looked really tasty, but I wasn't impressed. We were starving so we ordered the bread...it was very odd and I personally couldn't eat it. It was basically like a donut covered in maple syrup but then sprinkled with oregano and salt??? Nasty. A few at our table didn't seem to mind it, but most of us didn't eat it. I ordered the Seared Half Chicken and it was fine. The chicken had no flavor and the jus that came with it somehow tasted like nothing. Presentation was nice tho. Was looking for a place for brunch after participating in a 5k downtown on a Saturday morning and 1 Kitchen popped up on resy with lots of reservations available. I made a reservation for 12pm, but we ended up coming and hour early and were able to be seated no problem. I was a little worried this place would be too fancy for us to stop by after since we were definitely not dressed for a nice brunch, but I was pleasantly surprised that the atmosphere here was really casual. I started out with a caramel iced latte which was really good - i'm not normally a caramel person, but this one didn't have the overly sweet artificial taste. I ordered the burger and fries for my entree. I mean this in the most complimentary way, but both it tasted like an upscale McDonalds meal. The fries were hot and perfectly salted. The burger has two thin patties that were juicy and flavorful with pickles, pimento cheese, lettuce, and a thick tomato. For me it really hit the spot and for a burger downtown the $17 price didn't sound too bad to me. My friend got the BELT and also enjoyed it although she said the egg made it a bit soggy. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices of the menu here overall. I have been to the rooftop a few times and you definitely pay for the luxury bar experience, so I didn't expect the restaurant menu pricing to be on par if not cheaper than other brunch spots in the area. They also have a $35 endless mimosa special which I will be coming back to try another day! All in all, great vibes, quick and efficient service, and good food! read more

After dining here multiple times, I'm disappointed with the attention to detail of the culinary director, Chris Crary. While the overall ambiance and service is nice, the food is not, particularly at its price point. Perhaps the biggest example is seen in their Cajun-themed Risotto. If what you were wanton on ordering that dish was ordinary rice mixed with holy trinity, it'd be alright. But, it's a risotto, and the dish lacked any indication the rice was prepared as risotto... no creaminess to the texture, clearly either made with the wrong rice that wasn't starchy like risotto rices (Arborio and the like), or not stirred as it was made. I could go on about disappointing pasta dishes, flaccid waffles, over piled micro-greens, but the failure to prepare a basic risotto well really highlighted the failure of the kitchen the most. I guess you could say, this is 1 Kitchen I won't be returning to. read more

Additionally, our server was not friendly; she made a snarky comment when one of us wasn't ready to order but tried to laugh it off as if it was a joke. Just very unwelcoming. Ordered the omelet and wasn't impressed - especially for $18. Strange texture and cheese was pretty firm inside, which wasn't what I was expecting. Definitely wish I had gone for something else.
