Pont Neuf is a beautiful, low-key bar that inhabits a quaint corner of L&L market. Upon writing this review, it had just opened about a month ago. The owner of Amelia's Flower Truck, Mattie Bush-Martin, named the establishment after the Pont Neuf Bridge where she got married. It is a little piece of Paris and the Seine for Nashville, I can attest to that. When we arrived this afternoon, the ambiance was perfect: the sun was setting through those gorgeous industrial windows, and people were having chill conversations with the chic bartenders. They have a curated selection of wine and cocktails as well as some spritz and sparkling options. There are a few small bites here as well, but mostly snacks rather than meals. (You can find their full menu online as well as the background story referenced here. ) My friend and I weren't drinking alcohol that night, and it was awesome to see that they had both a mocktail list and kombucha amongst other options. We spent the majority of the time talking whilest doodling with colored pencils on the bar's notepads and enjoying the setting sun. If that isn't a bit of Paris in Nashville, I don't know what is. Fantastic all around.

I loved the ambiance and decor here in Pont Neuf. This was my first time visiting this bar for their Garden Read In and I loved it. The drink menu has options for everyone (non alcoholic included). This is located inside L & L market which has a lot of other shops and restaurants nearby. They do validate parking as well which was convenient. I do with there were more options for light bites on the menu. I got their bread and oil plate but it would have been nice to have some variety too. I do recommend coming here and enjoying a drink and great conversation with a beautiful backdrop. Also shoutout to Taylor who was an awesome bartender and super helpful.

Fun find on our visit to Nashville. After a fun day at the local mall, someone shared with us about this fun wine bar that we should try on our way back to Downtown Nashville. They opened at 2pm, and we were greeted with a warm hello from Taylor. The ambiance was fresh, clean and a fun flower vibe. I had to hear about how in the world they got the cute flower truck in the space. It is small, seats about 40 but the intimacy makes it a quaint local spot to support. Their wine menu is eclectic and provides boutique finds from all over the world. The snacks are an easy addition to a craft beer, fun cocktail or glass of wine. Great spot to check out if you're in the area! Cheers

This bar is the best I have been to in a long time. The ladies behind the bar decided to make me a drink of the spot that was absolutely fabulous! The ambience is absolutely a vibe! I took my whole family and everyone enjoyed it. We sat around, took photos, and had drinks while playing games and it was such an inviting place to be. Even with my little one it was very inviting which is hard being a new mom. The owners are a joy to be around and have definitely outdone them selves!

It's a great wine bar with an amazing selection of natural wines, delicious food, the best service, and an amazing ambiance. What's not to like? Sauced works a little bit differently than a lot of wine bars. We walked in and were welcomed right away. When we grabbed seats at the bar (there are also tables), our bartender (I feel terrible that I'm not 100% sure of his name since we had such a great time with him - but I'm pretty sure it was John) asked us about wines we like or are drawn to. They don't have a printed menu - they ask you what you like or are in the mood for and then they they'll pour you tastes until you find something you love. Then they have several fridges of bottles you can purchase and open. And their selection here is also great. We saw bottles by several winemakers we stalk (when we see, we usually buy). The wines our bartender recommended (based on our tastes and preferences) were great, too. They also have a great menu of food items - great for a meal or a snack. We ordered their mortadella sandwich, which will likely go down as one of my favorite sandwiches of the year (great bread, tons of mortadella, pistachio cream, gooey melted cheese)... I think I covered this already, but the service was excellent: attentive (we didn't have empty glasses for long at all before we were involved in a conversion about what we wanted to pour next), friendly, helpful... The bar itself is also great - tons of character: walls with smoke from candles, great lighting, little intimate nooks for seating... I had a great time at Sauced: great wine, great food, a great time. I'm not in Nashville as often as I should be (in laws), but I'd be happy to visit Sauced every time I'm in Nashville. Sauced might be an outpost of a Brooklyn wine bar, but Nashville is still so lucky to have it. Most cities don't have a wine bar as great as Sauced.

While I enjoy getting to talk to the bartender about what I like or may want to try, if they're busy, I don't want to just spend all of our time asking them the price of things. We definitely had a little sticker shock at the end of the night, but this was also my first time here so that could be something I just wasn't expecting! Aside from that, the service and wines were great. So while it isn't somewhere I see myself putting in my weekly rotation, it's a nice option for a special occasion or nicer evening.

The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.

I thought both were ok, nothing super memorable, but tasty nonetheless. Maybe it was just my taste, but the sprouts were a little too charred for me. Found free street parking not too far from the restaurant. Our waitress gave us good wine recs which I appreciated! I liked all the Van Gogh artwork, especially the paper mache ear!

Well, this place was suggested by a friend to catch up. I completely miss judged butterlamp- of course, I should've known to give it a try. Located at the back of the building you can enter through going around back or walking through the building. Its a small place, but they have tables and bar seating. The wine menu is glorious. So much to choose from. I like how you order at the bar because it gives you a chance to see what everyone else is drinking as they keep the open bottles up front. I asked the staff what I should order based on wanting a chilled red. They gave me tow options. I chose a Nebbiolo and loved it! We ordered two "bread with stuff". We got the pumpkin and the french onion. Both were amazing! We went at 2 pm so it was the perfect snack. They did have a fairly diverse menu. Music was upbeat and chill and at the perfect volume to have an enjoyable conversation. They also sell loaves of bread to go, which of course we got.

The Authentique truly feels like a little piece of France tucked into East Nashville. The décor, the vibe, hearing so many different languages around us, it honestly felt like being back in Europe. They have one of the most impressive wine lists I've seen in the city, and if you're indecisive like me, the wine flights are the way to go. We did the Tour de France flight, my husband went with the whites, I did the reds, and everything was incredible. The Beaujolais, Pinot Noir, Chards (yes, because we of course shared haha)... just wow. We paired it all with steak tartare (yes, they have French bites too!), plus they offer charcuterie boards, crepes, and more. Definitely coming back for those. Bonus: every Tuesday they host wine tastings at the bar led by their sommelier, each week with a different theme, mostly French and other European wines. tickets can be purchased in their website Huge thank you to Alexander for walking us through the whole concept.
