Cute spot with patio seating! Perfect for lowkey outdoor drinks. The prices are reasonable and workers are nice.

Easily one of the best spots I've been to in East Nashville. Such a warm weather vibe place as well with the picnic tables and plentiful outdoor seating. We got the whipped feta, steak, scallops, and Brussels. You order at the bar and then get a number and take a seat. The staff were all super nice and smiley which is always the best after a long week! I look forward to coming back and enjoying more menu items.

Van Gogh's has one of the best patio's in town, but if outside isn't what you are seeking the inside is spacious as well! Everyone that works there has always been exceptionally friendly! The prices are great, it's rarely too crowded, they have a great wine list but also speciality drinks! On the patio there is ample seating, they had bug spray, and citronella candles avaibile for guest to use. This place is very laid back and the perfect spot to meet up with friends. In the past I have also tried the cheese board and was impressed with the variety! Overall, it's such a great local gem!

was such an amazing experience, friendly service and genuinely the best scallops i've had. all of the food came out so fast despite servers saying it might be a minute (a lot of people walked in at the same time). highly recommend, will try to visit again as an out of state person!

I love this new neighborhood establishment. It has a lot of character, a massive back patio, and it is located in a cute old house turned into a restaurant. The house was previously a restaurant prior to them moving in, but it has been maximized in the best way possible. My hair stylist, Emaline, is a bartender here. She works at BBC Salon in the day and here by night. She is a great bartender and is able to multitask really well. I had no idea she was such a great bartender. Girl has an art with hair and drinks. That was apparent while maintaining the bar, but also serving up drinks for the waiter who was focused on the patio patrons. We saw Kevin, the owner, come out a couple of times as well. He was manning the kitchen. Kevin is one who has a lot of accolades behind him. He has been on the Travel Channel, Food Network, has a couple of cook books out, and is a well renowned chef. Granted, I did not know any of this prior to meeting him tonight. I feel like I should have being that he is a kind of a big deal in the food world. He was nice. What I think you will like about this place: - No price gauging. What you see is what you get. All glasses will range from $6 to $15 a glass. House wines taste good! Cocktails are $10-13. - Knowledgable staff. Everyone knows what they are doing here plus they offer warm hospitable personalities. - They have a good variety on the food menu. Now, as of this review, they have been open for six days. Things are working out well thus far, but tweaking is bound to happen as they learn the ins and outs of what does and does not work. I tried the truffle fries and enjoyed them. I will need to come here for a proper dinner. They have some decent offerings and the patrons next to me were enjoying their meals. - Easy to park. Park on the side street or on the front of the building. No qualms about finding anything, but a Thursday night out is different than a weekend. Use your best judgment. - Your neighborhood bar. This place is not trying to be something its not. They are focused on the neighborhood feel more than trying to be some hip place that draw in the tourists. Though tourists might find their way here and are welcomed, the focus is on the neighborhood it is surrounded by. East Nashville. In conclusion, I really hope to see this place thrive. I think they have something to offer and I look forward to see them grow into their own.

Great spot. Really nice bartender and lots of outdoor space to sprawl out. I got some asparagus as a snack and it was a good portion.

I visited Sauced with my husband last weekend when we were back in Nashville for a weekend. I…read morecouldn't have loved it more. It's a great wine bar with an amazing selection of natural wines, delicious food, the best service, and an amazing ambiance. What's not to like? Sauced works a little bit differently than a lot of wine bars. We walked in and were welcomed right away. When we grabbed seats at the bar (there are also tables), our bartender (I feel terrible that I'm not 100% sure of his name since we had such a great time with him - but I'm pretty sure it was John) asked us about wines we like or are drawn to. They don't have a printed menu - they ask you what you like or are in the mood for and then they they'll pour you tastes until you find something you love. Then they have several fridges of bottles you can purchase and open. And their selection here is also great. We saw bottles by several winemakers we stalk (when we see, we usually buy). The wines our bartender recommended (based on our tastes and preferences) were great, too. They also have a great menu of food items - great for a meal or a snack. We ordered their mortadella sandwich, which will likely go down as one of my favorite sandwiches of the year (great bread, tons of mortadella, pistachio cream, gooey melted cheese)... I think I covered this already, but the service was excellent: attentive (we didn't have empty glasses for long at all before we were involved in a conversion about what we wanted to pour next), friendly, helpful... The bar itself is also great - tons of character: walls with smoke from candles, great lighting, little intimate nooks for seating... I had a great time at Sauced: great wine, great food, a great time. I'm not in Nashville as often as I should be (in laws), but I'd be happy to visit Sauced every time I'm in Nashville. Sauced might be an outpost of a Brooklyn wine bar, but Nashville is still so lucky to have it. Most cities don't have a wine bar as great as Sauced.

Came here for a girlfriend's birthday and thought it was a great vibe. My biggest complaint is just…read morethe lack of transparency on pricing. While I enjoy getting to talk to the bartender about what I like or may want to try, if they're busy, I don't want to just spend all of our time asking them the price of things. We definitely had a little sticker shock at the end of the night, but this was also my first time here so that could be something I just wasn't expecting! Aside from that, the service and wines were great. So while it isn't somewhere I see myself putting in my weekly rotation, it's a nice option for a special occasion or nicer evening.

The ambience is still nice, but we were seated so close to other tables it was a bit uncomfortable. The server was great (super sweet waitress) but the food was inconsistent. Even she seemed to be aware of this. Here's what we tried: Steak Tartare: 1/10 - Hated it. Worst steak tartare I've had. It tasted literally ONLY of capers and mustard. We couldn't even see the color of the meat. Even our waitress said it was so inconsistent and sometimes bad. Keep in mind they did comp this which was very nice of them. Whipped Ricotta: 9/10 - Okay this was AWESOME. The pita bread was soft, the ricotta was smooth and sweet, and all the toppings on it were just perfect pairings. Chefs kiss. White Bolognese: 5/10 - Pretty mid/bland. Just kind of tasted like pasta with Alfredo sauce and some meat. Eh. Truffle Fries: 5/10 - Standard fries. There is parmesan and truffle at the top but none on any of the middle or bottom fries, so you don't really want to keep eating them. Brussels: 8/10 - Lovely fry on these. They tasted very rich, but could've had more depth to them in my opinion. More crunch perhaps, or even a zingier sauce. Beef tenderloin: 7/10 - I mean it was good beef, but nothing special. The steak just kind of tasted like an average cut of beef. The au jus was good, though, along with the mashed potatoes. Chocolate cherry cake : 4/10 - They offered this to us for free for our anniversary, but I didn't love it. The chocolate flavor was super mild, and the cherry was kind of sickeningly artificial. Not for me. See what I mean now, by inconsistent?

For food we ordered the bruschetta, whipped goat cheese, and meatballs. The whipped goat cheese was the clear standout--it came with blueberry compote and hot honey so you could go sweet or slightly spicy. The blueberry compote with the goat cheese was honestly to die for. The bruschetta was also really tasty with great flavor, and I appreciated the thinner crostini slices. The meatballs came with three generously sized meatballs and were good, but not quite as standout as the other two dishes. For the entrees, we split the Spanish octopus and chicken forestiere. Octopus had great flavor, but we found it to be a bit small for its price point. The chicken forestiere, on the other hand, was a great portioned dish with phenomenal flavor. A must have from our perspective! We ended the meal with the banana pudding, which was fantastic.
