Ambiance; Photobooth

I am absolutely obsessed with this spot, and I wish I knew about it when I lived in Nashville full-time! The vibe is absolutely immaculate, it's moody and pink and intimate. But they also had the garage windows open to let in the fresh warm air. The bartender was so super cool and I absolutely loved their energy. Super on top of it and made our drinks lightning fast, too. The seating is awesome, lots of great comfy corners and booth spots that makes it cozy. We just missed happy hour (theirs ends at 5) and they have limited daily specials, but I was still quite pleased with the prices considering the area. With the caveat it was a Monday bank holiday evening, it wasn't too crowded and didn't get loud. The music was a good background playlist at a decent level where we could still talk but it contributed to the ambiance. It was the perfect spot to nurse a couple of drinks and chat for a while comfortably. The photobooth is also super fun! The strips came out really cute. It's $7 and you get two copies. This is definitely going to be one of my go-to spots whenever I'm back in town!

We came in when it was early, so it wasn't busy at all. They had the doors open which let in a nice breeze, but it also made it very bright inside. This place is probably best at night with the moody lighting. The happy hour was nice for the price but I do wish they had more options. The daiquiri was really good as was the milk punch. The little side of rosé with it was cute but probably not necessary. The espresso martini is very intense. Only get it if you love coffee. The music choice that day was not my fav. 80s female power ballads. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and might come back at night to see how it changes the mood.

I really like the vibe of this new cocktail bar! It's a great place to start the night with a drink and enjoy the company of friends. great for dates too. Their happy hour menu was great and I loved the Hugo Spritz the bartender made for me. I definitely recommend this place for a great mood lighting and ambiance.

The epitome of a great neighborhood bar but elevated. Staff is great, cocktails were solid and balance. We plan to come back and try some food!

This feels less like a restaurant and more like a diplomatic safe zone for emotionally unstable adults. I met an old friend here that I had a fallout with, and honestly? This place has big United Nations for Troubled Relationships energy. Neutral territory. No sides. Just vibes. The kind of place you read about in books or hear whispered about like, "Yeah, that diner saved a few souls back in the day." The food? Experimental. Bold. Slightly chaotic much like the patrons. The NOLA fried chicken on grits was fantastic, minus the grits. The grits felt unnecessary, like wearing socks at the beach. Technically allowed. Spiritually wrong. The lettuce-wrapped shrimp situation had capers in it, and I just want to ask, why? Who invited them? What trauma led to this decision? It tasted confusing. Not bad. Just, existential. The cheeseburger is aggressively acidic. Like the chef might be emotionally invested in Sour Patch Kids. First it's sour, then it's still sour. BUT THE FRIES. The fries are the reason this place exists. Best fries in town. Possibly sent from a higher power. If the kitchen caught fire, I'd save the fries first. Now the beer, it comes in a glass so small I thought it was a tasting pour or a joke. I assume this is a financial strategy. Honestly? Fine. Charge me more. I live here, I get it. Just please give me a glass that doesn't feel like it belongs in a dollhouse. Respect my thirst.

Paloma (made with bell pepper!)

Love's Alibi is now open in The Gulch. I got to preview their cocktails and definitely have a few recommendations. My fave? The Paloma (made with bell pepper for a savory cocktail)! I also really enjoyed the cardamom flavor in the espresso martini. They said they hadn't quite perfected that recipe yet so I can only imagine it's going to get better. Love's Alibi has a great vibe. It feels like an 80s rockstar bar. The service was great and everyone was really friendly. I will definitely be back.

Ok so I've been here twice now but the first one I don't remember much lol. But this last time I came we sat at the bar and I had their expresso martini and it was super strong. Not my favorite but the vibe there was good. Good music and the bartenders was cool. I will definitely be back and try their other drinks.

We went in the afternoon so it was pretty quiet still, but the bar tenders were friendly and helpful. And although I'm not a huge tequila fan, I was impressed with my drink. Prices were reasonable for the drinks we ordered and this bar being located on Broadway. Definitely worth a visit.

There's a lot to like about Pushing Daises. It has a nice dark speakeasy vibe in a basement…read moreenvironment. Staff here is very nice and are keen on helping you order the right drink. There was no live music available at the time, but they did have a DJ which I thought was spinning the turntable rather well. It's my bad that I didn't also catch on that his is basically a Tequila Bar, rather than a more general craft cocktail establishment. Judging by the well stocked bar and the word of our waitress, other alcohol and their associated craft creations are available, but it's pretty much off menu and not well into our waitress' repertoire. And yes, Cinco de Mayo was just a few days away. One member of our party just wanted a soft drink, which was not possible that night as their CO2 was down. That did make me wonder whether the non-alcohol drinkers had much to chose from here. I suppose we could have then wandered over to the Redemption Bar at Chief's? Anyway, we're not Tequila Drinkers, and since other drink options appeared to be guesswork, we left towards more traditional mixed drinks (and live music) at a nearby Printers Alley bar. This was a rare night that I really wanted a craft cocktail in a smooth environment, and in the end it just wasn't the same.

"This used to be Blend. What a spectacular collapse in standards…read more The space is still nice and the humidor selection is solid -- unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Staff at the humidor offered zero guidance or recommendations. Drinks were forgettable, and we had to fetch them ourselves from the bar like we were at a college sports pub instead of an upscale cigar lounge. Then came the cigars. We were left to cut and light them ourselves, which would've been fine if every disposable torch in the place wasn't nearly empty or completely out of butane. Nothing says 'premium lounge experience' quite like fighting for a working lighter. To top it off, the moment a large group walked in, the bartender started loudly screaming out drink orders across the room. The entire atmosphere instantly shifted from refined cigar lounge to livestock auction barn. This place is living off the reputation of what Blend used to be. If you're expecting an elevated experience, look elsewhere."

Thankfully that room had no trace of cigar smoke. We were told in its hey day it was originally a brothel. More tales of murder. We were cautioned to stick with your party around Printers alley and how one man went off on his own and was found dead floating in the river.
