Since then Shifty's has expanded to include hookah, a growler station, and now liquor! From our first time in, Grant and Ms Joye made us feel like family. Grant is always ready with a tip on a new beer or can point you in the direction of the best liquor for your needs. Now they've even got a sample station set up! Fill up your growler, mix a six, and stock up with all your party essentials. You can even get a keg! Ms Joye never forgets a face and will make you feel like you belong--there's a real Cheers vibe here. She's got an ear for the community and will let you know about events or spread the word if you have one coming up. Besides being a gem in the community, Shifty's has a great selection. MOONSHINE: original, pineapple, peach, apple pie, one said 103 proof-I didn't know that was possible. ABSINTHE: I think I spelled that right, I saw in small bottles by the register. I don't know if they're the real thing, but the girl at the register said they get bought a lot, but we opted not to this time. PARKING: outside parking lot shared with other stores in the outside shopping plaza. Same plaza as Krogers. Next to a cigarette type store. OVERALL: I recommend this liquor store, I don't know how it compares to other liquor stores in TN, but it's definitely nicer than the ones in CA that I've been to. They give you brown paper bags for the bottles, which in CA they're getting rid of bagging to where you have to bring your own, so it was nice to have things bagged for you.

If you were to try everything on the label, you would spend $60 because you pay five dollars per half ounce. Tasting would cost you more than it would be costing you to get a bottle. At best in my opinion and experience, it was maybe a $10 tasting not $20 for 4 tasting of a 1/2 ounce. With that being said I did buy a bottle of bourbon because it was very good, but I was really disappointed with the cost. It seemed to be a little high compared to other distilleries. The bartender was prompt in his service, but he did not explain the nuances and how they make their product like other distilleries too. Whether he didn't know or just didn't want to I don't know.
