Stopped in quickly to grab a bottle of my friend's favorite wine - she was grieving and having a rough day. Staff was kind to assist in locating and sharing about other offerings. Very well organized, fully stocked products of wine, beer, and spirits, aesthetically pleasing shopping, fairly priced. Great location right next to Publix off Royal Oaks Blvd. read more

A liquor store where you can sample before you buy? Yes, please! This was for anything they had open, and wow, I found a new type of tequila I liked. They're very small samples, so don't get the idea you can come here and start taking free shots! I don't really think anyone would do this, but I feel inclined to tell you. The customer service associate was super nice and helpful with our visit. Generally, my husband and I just wander and help ourselves to check out different selections that various liquor stores have to offer, but since we got to try a couple of options for tequila, we interacted with him. They have a decent section of liquors and wines. This is one liquor store that is in the radius of 3 other stores within half a mile. I can speak for the other stores, but I'm glad we checked this one out and would come back. We did purchase the tequila we tried., read more

Red Dog Wine & Spirits - a wooden table in a liquor shop - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Franklin, Tennessee

They charged me $30 for a $14 order of Beck's and all they had was non-alcoholic. This must be under new ownership. I won't be back!

Super great staff here. Right beside Publix, so if you need anything to help make your drink, it is only a few steps away. Great beer selection and good signage that shows you the newest beers. Great bourbon selection with on par prices. They do get allocations, but you have to visit often and at the right time to get read more

Covid-19 Review: This place is still amazing! How they were not on the Franklin Sizzle Awards Final List this year...no clue?! Online ordering is easy. When you go into the store they still practice great Covid measures. Selection is always good and I will say the highlight of this place is their staff! Just an amazing and knowledgeable staff that are always willing to help! Always provide great recommendations and offer to help carry stuff to your car. read more

Man I couldn't be more sick of the forced mask wearing garbage. Wear a mask if you feel like it protects you but DO NOT tell me what I need to do for my health. Haven't worn a mask, ever and I'm not starting just for you, precious little man. Lost my business forever. Your response is comical. Thank you for admitting that your policy has nothing to do with your customer's health. There you have it folks. Straight from the owner's mask-muffled mouth. Apparently you also don't believe your masks work, otherwise, mine wouldn't matter. By the way, I witnessed a customer wearing their's around their chin (only) while your staff accosted me about 'not wearing one'. The theater has arrived at Red Dog. I wish you good sense, but just like Covid hasn't found me, I doubt common sense will find you. read more

My husband was searching all over town for a specific sweet vermouth (Cocchi di Torino) for his Negroni's, and kept coming back dry (pun intended). We were running errands nearby and found we were close to this liquor store, so he called to see if they supplied it. The associate over the phone was jovial and more than happy to help. They had what he wanted and even reserved a bottle at the counter so it could be ready when we arrived. Victory! Of course when walking in, we could not limit ourselves to only purchasing the one thing we needed, and perused the store taking in more of what we wanted. We were immediately tended to by "Spaz," who was delightfully chatty and knowledgeable. Red Dog's selection is incredible. I particularly noticed their extensive scotch whiskey selection. One of my husband's favorite scotch whiskey is Laphroaig. I have only ever seen 3 varieties of it, but here they had 5! In addition to spirits, they have a growler station for beers on tap and various food items (frozen pizzas from a local pizza joint, appetizer type snacks, frozen desserts, and frozen meats to name a few). They offer quite the spread! The topper to it all, I found their prices on some items a few bucks cheaper than what I've seen elsewhere. Without a doubt, this is our new spot. read more

COVID-19 REVIEW After the 8th attempt (day traders, take note of the market spike here), I was able to break through the busy phone lines at Red Dog and my call was answered by a helpful staff member who guided me through my curbside pickup choices. I decided on an old standby of Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale, a 4-pack of Bearded Iris's Attention Please IPA and chose a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for the missus. We settled the bill and I made a dash for Red Dog. As I pulled up to the curb of the liquor store, a man peeked out of the front door with a bandana wrapped around his face. Normally, my level of situational awareness would reach new heights under these conditions. The pandemic crisis, however, adds a new dimension to our everyday expectations. Fortunately, no shots were fired and the masked man kindly loaded our order into the vehicle. Thank you to Red Dog and staff for staying open during this crisis and doing your best to keep yourselves and your customers safe. I look forward to doing business with y'all again soon - likely very soon. Be well, be careful and be excellent to each other. read more

Red Dog has been my go-to Wine & Spirits destination for well over 15 years now. The expansive selection of wines and the awesome, knowledgeable staff make every visit extraordinary. I'm especially impressed with the way they have handled safety protocols during COVID-19...this is one of the only places I've felt entirely safe to visit during the pandemic. I appreciate their commitment to protecting their customers as well as their staff. Thank you, Red Dog - you have a customer for life. read more

Just a good, solid liquor store with a large selection of, well, everything. There prices are some of the best around. I cannot speak for all spirits, but in the case of whiskey, if you see bottles from a barrel they hand picked, buy it. You will not be disappointed! read more

Stopped by when passing through Franklin for a dinner party and was tasked to bring a few bottles of wine. Chose to stop by Red Dog because of the Yelp check in 10% off offer! Location, I was following Google Maps (not a Franklin local) and GPS didn't know where it was taking me. Slightly lost, but it took me to the general area. I was going to give up and go to Publix for wine since I was on a time crunch. The store is on the same strip as Publix! Staff, didn't acknowledge me at first and I aimlessly walked through the aisles finding specific wines on my list. They didn't have what I wanted, but offered similar alternatives. Overall they were helpful and the alternatives were okay. Selection, they offer an array of beers, liquors, and wine. They also do tastings at the shop. read more

This place is awesome! First off, I walk in and my shirt is recognized as wwe merchandise by one of the employees, second, their wine selection is pretty fantastic, and third, I got to chat beer and whiskey with a knowledgeable staff member! Really good experience! Lots of craft brews, plenty of whiskey and bourbon to pick from, and a massive wine selection! Knowledgeable staff! You really can't got wrong! read more

Wow! What a great place. The people are the only thing better than the wide selection of wine, spirits, and gourmet foods. Definitely my one source in the Franklin area. read more

Red Dog is probably my favorite liquor store in the area right now. The owner is a really personable guy and the employees are nice as well. All of them I've talked to seemed earnest and knowledgeable. Granted, not all of them are super whiskey nerds but at least a couple of them are and that's more than most stores can say. I'm not a scotch guy but I've been told by my scotch buddies that this store has one of the best scotch selections around. Personally I'm more of a bourbon dork and this store can be counted on to have all of the staples and also the occasional rare allocated item. Over the last year I've noticed they have been doing more and more whiskey barrel programs lately - as of the time of this writing they had hand selected barrels of Four Roses, Elijah Craig, and Corsair Triple Smoke (at cask strength!). That's the true sign of a shop in the upper echelon by my standards. As for prices, I would say they are about average with the area. Here's the thing though - if you sign up for their rewards program you earn discounts of 10% off purchases. You don't even have to carry a rewards card, just plug the membership number into a smartphone app like keychain or just give them your name when you checkout. Even better, if you check in on Yelp you can get the 10% discount as well. Take that into account and their prices will always be lower than everyone else. Update: Upgrading to five stars because this store continues impress me with their customer loyalty. read more

Great selection, friendly knowledegable staff, and well stocked. From craft Bourbon to Single Malt Scotch to local/regional beers on tap in growlers, Red Dog is the best choice in Franklin. read more

This place has the best selection of single-malt scotches that I have happened across in central TN. It is well-worth the trip down from Nashville, especially if you are interested in independent bottlings of scotch, of which they have several for sale. Red Dog also has weekly tastings, often with interesting themes (sour beer recently!), so it is well worth signing up for their email list. read more

Was referred by a Scotch aficionado and was not disappointed. The sales specialist went around the store and helped me pick unique spirits for gifts. The customer service was exceptional even helping me out to my car with my purchases. The big surprise was the warm atmosphere and wonderful gift selection. Fantastic wine and beer section with stories on each wine and the staff picks and my fav butcher's meats in the cooler ....Carnivores. Couldn't ask for a more quaint but efficient beverage store. Salute ! read more

Red Dog is one of the best places you'll find in the area. They have a great selection of wines and spirits, but I mainly go for their beers. Their ever-growing selection of beers is among the best I've found. They offer a wide variety of local brews, as well as so many craft beers from all over. There is a growler station as well. The staff is amazing!! Always helpful and VERY knowledgeable about their products. I have asked for recommendations on several occasions, and they have never steered me wrong. In fact, I found an amazing Pinot Grigio based on a staff recommendation. Plus, it was one of the least expensive wines in the section. The staff doesn't try to convince you to buy expensive products - they simply point you to what is good. Love this place! read more

There's a wine and spirits store a few hundred yards from me, but I'd rather drive the 3 miles to Red Dog. Not only a great selection, but very knowledgeable folks. THAT makes a big difference. read more

Is this what bourbon has come to? Stopped by Red Dog today to see if they might have a special bottle of bourbon for me to buy for my husband for Christmas. Asked the gentleman stocking the shelves if they might by chance have any Blanton's in the back or any other hard to find bourbons. He said "no and if we did they would go to the bourbon club" and continued stocking the shelves. He didn't bother asking me what he liked to drink, if we were interested in joining the bourbon club or even what the bourbon club was, or recommending any other bourbons that he might like. I just turned around and walked out. Very insulting and I won't be back. read more

Great store. All the associates are super knowledgeable and always very friendly. They have a great selection and are always able to make suggestions. They also have great tastings that are very fun and informational. They have case discounts and senior discounts and at one point were discounting if you brought in a same-day grocery store receipt. They also have a growler station and lots of craft beer options. read more

Great selection and reasonable prices in a charming little store. The floors are hardwood, the staff is friendly, and you will likely see a golden retriever laying around in some corner of the store. This is a cozy little place to buy your provisions without having to deal with Cool Springs. It is conveniently located right next to Publix, so you can pull one of those, "well, since I'm already here I might as well go in and look". The wine selection is good and the staff is knowledgeable if you have any questions. They are known for Scotch and have quite a few to choose from. I found some great tequila prices here too. Their newest endeavor brings them into the world of beer. I love the selection. One of the beers I really missed from New York was Ommegang from Cooperstown. Their Rare Vos is an amazing Belgian White that is flavorful and delicate. This is the only place so far that I have found in Nashville that carries this product. I would give them two big thumbs up if I weren't holding a great beer from here and trying to type at the same time. read more

I was in town for work, and stopped in for a bottle of wine. I asked a gentleman who worked here a question, and he was very knowledgeable. The selection was pretty great -- from average prices to more premium products, you can find just about all of it here. Will be returning when back in the area! read more

This review is more about the beer than the liquor. You see, I'm a beer lover, so I'm always searching for the best places to buy it. Red Dog always has a great selection of High Gravity beers, and they keep it in a perfect location (away from the windows). They have competitive prices as well as the ability to make a variety six pack. The staff is always very friendly and helpful if you have any questions. read more

Red Dog Wine & Spirits has the greatest selection of High Gravity Beers in the area. I love that they have a great selection of bombers too! Love the weekly tastings too! This store is as good as it gets, in Franklin. read more

The people at this store are knowledgeable. There are other places that I shop that I wouldn't say that about. These people are experts. They are especially attentive to some of the specialty spirits - whiskey and bourbon. I don't have that first hand experience about that, but have heard others discuss that about them. Great service, love the wine tastings, convenient location. This is a liquor store for a good experience, not just to pick up what you want. read more

Convenience is the reason I came here, but unfortunately it is probably not enough to keep me coming back consistently.
